Christmas Countdown - 2019

Good afternoon, MMC! Caught up here - I hadn't posted in a couple of days. I did well on my tests and am now done with both of those big tests/certs for two years again, so I can now enjoy the season. I am sitting by the fire, enjoying the decorations and watching HMM. Today is Nittany's 4th birthday! Hard to believe. We attended a Halloween party last night and were Gomez and Morticia Adams. I thought DH and I pulled it off well. Here are a few pictures. My sister did my make-up. She killed it! Hope you're all well and having a great weekend!

In other news, and not near as happy news: As many of you know my mother-in law has been struggling with major health issues since back in the Spring. She has been out been of the hospital and in a rehab facility trying to recover from septic shock and a host of other issues. She was recently evaluated for a liver transplant, and they said they wanted to reevaluate her in 6 weeks. However, earlier today she was sent back to the hospital. Her blood pressure dropped to 75/30, she has a fever 102, abdominal bruising, and they think she is septic again. Her kidneys have been struggling as well and she started dialysis back in August (I think). In any case, it seems she is pretty much back to where she was in June.
Any positives thoughts are appreciated!

It's incredibly hard to watch our loved ones suffer like this; positive energy and prayers for everyone concerned.

Two days of work and then I'm off to the Elton concert.

+g I had a weird Christmas tree (too short for my liking) when I was viewing The Andy Williams Christmas Album that is featured on the signature of our @Bradmac. The odd thing is that about two songs down, those listed were from Bing Crosby's Christmas Album.

Andy Williams cover and a few songs. I started reading White Christmas and Happy Holidays and then it switched.


The album cover remained Andy's, but the song list for Bing Crosby started with God Rest Ye Merry Gentleman, etc.


The error in what I was presented with woke me up to saying out loud, "That's not right!"

Had both albums growing up. Perhaps both performers were fighting for song flu time in my head.

Still a jolly happening. Sometimes I wish I could record my dreams and share them as merry short flicks.

Let's take a peek at the latest data to assess our precise position:
Days to Halloween: 10 (Single Digits from tomorrow!)
Days to the Season: 23 (Three weeks from the day after tomorrow!)
Days to Christmas Day: 65 (Barely over half a week to the 2 month point!)
Closing in relentlessly. Better start preparing mentally if not physically!

Lots of rain especially yesterday morning, and things definitely do not seem parched anymore!
Today will see no further precipitation and our high is predicted to be 73.
We begin this brand new week at 55 degrees here in the capital city and the capital county.

Good Monday morning, Christmas friends!

I had a great golf tournament Friday! That's not to say that I played all that well, but a bad day of golf is always better than a good day at work, right?

I'm heading out tomorrow for another golf tournament in Alabama. I love getting out for golf, but I wish more of them could be a little closer to home.

Saturday we went to the mall and one store had it's front Christmas display up. Yesterday, my side of the family drew names for our stocking gift exchange.

Halloween is next week and October has flown by. I think Hallmark channel will be all Christmas all the time starting this weekend. SiriusXM should start their Christmas channels in a couple of weeks. We're starting to make our lists and check them twice. Our time of the year is getting closer!

Hallmark Movies and Mysteries kicked into all Christmas, unannounced, this past weekend. We watched two movies Saturday night.

Merry Monday MMC ~
I didn’t have a chance to pop in this morning, Rocky had an early groomer appointment and then I ran a few errands. I just started a pot of soup for dinner and I’m working on the laundry now. I have a chiropractor appointment later this afternoon, hopefully I’ll be able to relax afterward! I hope everyone is having a nice day so far!!!
