THANK YOU ALL WHO PRAYED FOR US! MY DOG IS OKAY!!

The bump on her gum is called an "epulis", and the vet told us that it was non-cancerous / benign. As long as it doesn't get bigger (there has been no change in size the past month), or get infected or cause issues, he says it is fine to leave. If they ever were to have to do surgery, it is done with a laser and done under general anesthetic, and we would get her back the same day. He told us it was a super easy procedure. So they noted the size of it, and will examine it again next September when she goes back for her yearly shots, just to see if there is any change.

Thank you all so much who prayed and sent positive stuff our way! Now i can get back to continuing to decorate for Christmas!!!

I'm so glad your dog is okay!

Hello all.
For those who have followed the health and info for my mother-in-law, I want to say thank you.
Sadly, she passed away today after taking a bad turn on Saturday. She will be missed by all, there is no doubt. She was a very wonderful and kind woman with an infectious smile and laugh.

Thanks again for all of the kind thoughts and prayers.

You have my deepest sympathy, Itp. You and your family will remain in my prayers. xx

Merry Wednesday & Merry Pines Day!

My cousin's husband had successful hip surgery yesterday and I waited all day at the hospital with her. Today I am staying home and taking care of several things for the store. Didn't sleep very well the past few days, so I might even take a nap later. The cough I had earlier in the week is back, so I have a pot of spicy chicken vegetable soup simmering on the stove.

It is snowing out! :)

Have a merry day, my friends!

Just realized it’s my 11th MMC anniversary! Doesn’t seem so long ago.
I just noticed that Friday will be my 13th MMC anniversary. I will be spending it up at the Minneapolis Holiday Boutique. My 3rd year going with the wife. It's at US Bank Stadium. It's always a great time and this year my soon to be DIL and granddaughter will be joining us.

Enjoy your celebration!

Light dusting of snow on the ground. Certainly is creating that early-Christmas season feel here.

As I mentioned a few weeks ago, my daughter and her family moved here a few months ago. They've gone from the sunny climate of southern California and Arizona to the magical four seasons of northern Michigan.

She would always question why I started playing Christmas music on Nov 1. She was adamant it should not start until after American Thanksgiving.

Well, yesterday I went to her house in the late-afternoon for some coffee and a delicious apple crisp she made. As we were sitting there visiting, with the snow falling gently outside the living-room window, she put on some Christmas music. As she looked outside, smiled, and said, "Now I remember why you start playing Christmas music when you do"

She was born and raised here, but has been gone for a decade. She had forgotten a few things about early-November in the north.

Not anymore :)

Have a great mid-week, everyone

That's some merry magic, right there. I remember when I moved back home after only 5 years away for college and work. That first return home Christmas was really wonderful. I had always managed to get home for Christmas, but it wasn't the same as the lead up to the day with preparations and such - I am very happy you have your children closer to home.

Good to hear the news about your cousin-in-law; remember to take care of yourself - Christmas is on the way.

Next October it will be 15 years for me; strange I feel like you've been part of permanent fixture in this comfy holiday dwelling forever.

Happy MMC Anniversary! +i

Well, pass the licorice cigars - another MMC anniversary to celebrate.

I don't ever remember a time without @MerryCarey here. Of course I wasn't very active when I first joined.
