If I can find anything out on the car- I'll let you know. Hey JAY.. The Moody Blues.. how cool is that.."Knights in White Satin.." ohhh the 70s... I miss the 70s.......

It was a great show!!! I'm forty five and was a little young as compared to the other audience members...I didin't mind that much!!! But the Moodies still have it!!! Great voices, great musicians...And a song called "December Snow" in August!!! Ya can't beat that!!!

jay

Thanks, Bing, I'll watch for it.
Carl wants to deliver the coffee personally (and help you with the next opera chapter - no doubt to be sure he's in it. << SIGH! >>) but needs an invite.

Anything goes, right?

Just wanted to let you all know how happy I am because I found this forum with all this wonderful people who are christmas nuts, just like me :notice:

Two years ago I was on another forum but for an unknown reason I forgot my password. I hadn´t posted for awhile and suddenly 2 years passed and now I couldn´t find the forum again. But then I found this site and some of the names I remember from the other forum. cheesy

Send the Camel on... I meant to tell him that he could direct the latest installment- thus he was needed behind the scenes

Same here when I saw them a few years ago Jay- great show though-

Binger, Carl is pleased as punch - er, coffee - and will be heading your way first thing tomorrow with all humps filled.
This is his first traveling invite in quite some time! (He hasn't been off visiting since before TXP closed.)
Said he thought he would go by train this time. (I told him about the great sleeper cars!)
Look for him some time tomorrow.

Little miss, you may have posted in christmas.com or thexmasplace forums and couldn't find either one of them as they both just up and quit. Most of us from those two sites ended up here. Glad that you are here and looking foreward to reading more of your posts.

Now Bing, you also make sure that you keep Carls third hump full of Java or he isn't going to be very happy with you. He also likes it once in a while if you sneak a little french vanilla creamer in it.

Creamer in coffee? Oh My God NOOOOO.... Jay- a non purist in our midst.... heresey I tell ya..

ok I'll pick up the Camel.... I think Jay mentioned he likes Pussycat Dolls concerts ( hmmm, wonder what the Camel likes?.. badda bing badda binger....)

Was this... the Christmas.com Forums? =0 There are a lot of faces from there over here.

Good Morning!...I think..

Sure signs of Fall: Cricket in the house. LOUD cricket. Sandhill Cranes are coming back. I mowed over lots of fallen leaves. The pumpkins are turning orange...A slight chill in the air in the morning...Love it!

I do like summer, but always happy to see fall!

Have a great day friends.

The Pussycat Dolls...Now that's a musical group...It's a wonder to me that they are not in the rock and roll hall of fame...But Carl was quite fond of driving around in a 1976 Cadillac El Dorado convertable blowing kisses to the Jersey girls...Cause ya know..."Down the shore everything's alright..." It was always amazing to me that Carl would be interested in Young ladies with big hair, bad attitudes, and grumpy Italian boyfriends...But I guess when in Rome...er...Jersey...Oh! Joe Pesci says hey! And our honorary governor, Joe Piscopo...Yes...we are full of class, and talent!!!

91 days to the Season. (The 3/4 mark is here!)
133 days to Christmas Day.

Wow! 3/4 of the way back to the season. Time's a flyin'.

The heat is coming back. 100 + is again predicted for tomorrow and Thursday. It was a pleasant 72 when I left for work this morning. The humidity was low too. Drove with my windows open - my favorite way to fly!

Have a Terrific Tuesday, folks.

Let us know if Carl arrives safely, Bing! Hope you like his experimental coffee-persimmon blend.

Good Morning my friends !!!

I'm taking a chance doing a post at this time. I'm doing it BC (before coffee). This could be a little rough. But not to worry, the pot is brewing as we speak. It's not really a "pot", it's a "Coffee-on-demand" by Cuisinart (looks more like a coffee dispencer than a pot). It should be ready soon.

Chicago weather: Partly cloudy. Hot. High 91F. Winds SW at 10 to 20 mph. (said in my best announcer voice). It rained last night so right now it's 68F.

Did I hear someone speak of the Moody Blues??? I saw them recently on PBS. They were great. Some groups go on tour and, I'm sorry to say, someone should tell them to pack the instruments and go home. When it's over, it's over. The Moodies, and a few others still sound great.
Christmas music is still tops in my book.

What's this I hear? The coffee just beeped. Yyyyes !!! Coffee anyone? Crown, how about a nice big cup ? Cream, milk, sugar, and splenda are all set out for everyone. Jay, Cedar, Andrex step right up. Binger, you take it black right? I have a tall mug for you, I'll set it next to your computer. You may have to move the other coffee cups (Hmmmm, 5 cups??) out of the way though. I used to drink it black too, but that was a long time ago in a land I would not care to describe here. I decided then that when I returned to the real world I would be thankful for all the things we take for granted. Family, a roof that doesn't leak, cream and sugar, coffee that doesn't taste like mud (and I mean real mud), and CHRISTMAS . . . . . . to name a few.
Sorry about that, I didn't mean to get going. Come on, Cedar, Renna and everyone. I see Sparkle stepping up. Coffee's ready on the counter, and of course, tea fixin's are on the table. So everyone help yourself ! And I have a second machine ready to go if we get low.

I got recalled so my leave (vacation) is cut short by a couple of days. The overtime will be welcome. The good news is that any leave day not taken are re-issued at the end of the year. If I count correctly (and there is some doubt about that), at current calculations I will be off from . . . . . about the 7th of December to the end of the year. I hope !
I better get going, the chores are calling me.

Song for today, lets look - C:\1 All Data\ALL MUSIC\Dad's\Christmas.
Ah, how about for now: Glad - An Acapella Christmas - Hark, The Herald Angels Sing.
And for later tonight: Danny Wright - Remembering - Silent Night.

Gotta fly !!!

Stay safe - stay cool.

PS - With all the correction I think I wore out the "preview post" button. I'll have to ask Jeff for a new one.

Tea for me, Iron.

I'll pass on the coffee - give it to Binger.
(Oops, I see they've already taken it!)

Hey I'll have that cup ( and another and another.....) Camel arrived at noon- already is riding up and down the street singing a Bob Marley song....
