I'm not stealing Crown's thunder, but I have to say . . .

99 days and a wake up!

:hello: Note to self: Get more Scotch Tape, it's almost time to start wrapping presents!

Let's not get started on Scotch Tape, Auntie. This is a family board and that's such a sticky subject.

Auntie, you are correct. That coffee ad jingle belonged to Nescafe (back in the pre-Taster's Choice days) .
(I'm sure Binger knew the answer but chose to let someone else answer. Either that or they were too busy drinking the stuff to reply.)

58 days to the Season
100 days to Christmas Day.

Well, there you have it. The 100-day window has arrived and isn't the view through it beautiful! I can see all the way to the 90% Season Home Stretch mark coming up in barely 3 weeks!! WOW! The time is really slipping away.

It's 57 here in Raleigh at this hour. Coolest morning we've had in months. Feels nice.

Have a Super Sunday, everyone.
And gear up to start moving another week closer to Christmas!

Auntie- that song " McArthur ParK' was voted the dumbest lyric/song ever in a poll conducted by the columnist ( who I really miss...) Dave Barry... I mean really- " left the cake out in the rain..?" Who would do that? Unless it's someone who put it out in the rain and then fell asleep on the couch while waiting for the QVC " Stove Show.." on TV

Off To Starbucks - hey Jay meet me there.. Cedar Biscotti's on me.. Auntie.. come on down.. Crown.. ohh never mind ( shhhhhh- sleeping non gender entity...)- Renn- come on over.. JAVA's on ME! Wake up Iron.... Chi-town calling you....

cheesy It was supposed to be a metaphorical song about relationships.

You didn't get the Nestle quiz answered so there's no doubt about it, you're buying the java today.

My cup is empty, I'm on the way!

I am so ready for the holidays! Summer is over, there is a nice feeling in the air, the leaves are going to be changing and falling soon, it is time to celebrate!:hello:

Our families would miss us if we all lived close enough for real visits...And we'd end up tossed out of every Starbucks we visited due to our raucus, celebratory behavior! I'm sipping java myself at the moment, remnants of the day's first pot. Almost ready to brew the second, gosh we're behind today...Must be cause I slept till almost ten...a very, very rare occurence for me. The day holds apple picking, fall festivals, mums, cider doughnuts, angry bees and good friends...A day sent from heaven...Somebody put the brakes on for a week or two, slow down time, make it last I want it to be three months till Christmas but I'd like it to take five to get here...Make any sense?

Cedar! Ya got any of those really cool fall photos you are famous for to share with our new friends here? I have one of a cat on a farm trailer full of pumpkins that I love...Let's call Cedar Ansel from now on!!! So? Ansel? Anything on the horizon? How about a coffee table book? Ok...How about just the coffee?

Binger? I'm at our table and you are suprisingly absent...Of course that may be due to the fact that I'm not sure who I'm looking for...Male...female...young...old...no clue...You could be sitting right next to me and I would not know it...Perhaps when we see Bruce? (That's Springsteen for you folks not familiar with the single best word in Rock & Roll...BRUCE!!!!)

99 or so days until the Day, but really only 45 days until the season is in FULL SWING!!!! cheesy

:rudolph:

Ah yes...

The lovely sound of my dad screaming 'Fumble!' at the TV, brings me to the computer, looking for holiday cheer, and here I am! Only 99 days until the big day and I can't wait for November 13th! YES!

:hello: I've got Christmas, my husband has his sports.

cheesy I don't know if other sports fans do the same thing, but it's like my husband is watching a spooky movie.
He's either on the edge of his seat, jumping up or peaking through his fingers saying, "I can't look" - but he peaks.

When I'm prancing around the forums reading and spreading Christmas cheer, I'm not peaking through my fingers, I'm not jumping up in the air or sitting on the edge of my seat - I almost fell over laughing once or twice - but that's not the same thing . . .

I think Christmas is far more relaxing than sports and I propose we endeavour to keep Christmas as the most pleasant of all leisure activities.

:)) Guess I missed you, Jay - I'd know you by sight. Thing is my friend with the Snowbirds was only going for java so I couldn't wait around for y'all to show up.

Question for JayIsh . . .

I was wondering if Bugs Bunny was from Joirsey, it seems to me he talks the same as you. Just wondered if you ever met him? He's a wascally wabbit, I'm told.

 I don't know why, but that question was on my mind all day.

Good Evening Everyone !

Just finished a great afternoon/evening with some of my old High School freinds. (I haven't been around much because we've been getting ready for today.) Of course the guys all end up talking football and cars (old cars, not these new things), and Mrs.Eagle and the girls all are in another room talking about . . . . something or other. Then we all got together in the backyard and talked about old times . . . . . . like when we were young. It was a great time. Yours trully was on the grills ( Weber X2 ). Lots of food, lots of drink, and lots of good company. Only decaf was served (medical reasons), but good coffee is always good coffee.
The toasts were simply: " To absent freinds" and "To those who serve, may God watch over them."

I am trully blessed to have such good friends here at home and here on the boards.

On that thought I depart. I think I'll clean up tomorrow.

I think I'll be changing my signature line to read Warm instead of cool, pretty some . . . .

Good morning, all!
A new week.
A fresh start.
Another week closer to.......

57 days to the Season
99 days to Christmas Day.
My, My, My. Don't those double, double digits look nice!
Really getting close now!

A crisp 55 degrees for my commute in this morning.
Actually had to wear a jacket.
(The weather can change very quickly around here in the Fall and Spring)

Have a Marvelous Monday, my friends!

And speaking of cake.
I heard that Binger ordered a coffee cake at the bakery and told the clerk to hold the cake.
Oh, well!

Wow. Only one thread post in 24 hours.
Where is everyone?
(Bing is no doubt out drinking coffee but what about everyone else??)

56 days to the Season
98 days to Christmas Day.
Only 19 days to the 90% Season home stretch mark. Incredible!

Have a Terrific Tuesday, whereever you are - are - are - are.
(Gee, was that an echo?)

we were all posting while you were asleep Crown- you're just behind a day or two..

Off to Starbucks.. Jay- comeon over.. we'll prank call Crown again and tell them that their Posturepedic has been recalled due to glutens being in the spring...

That will cost you a feather pillow, Bing!

Aw, what the heck.
One more post so I can join the 100 club.
You can toast me with a cup of coffee.
(But do it quietly. I'm trying to get some sleep.)

Happy 100 posts, Crown!
