:hello: Thanks for putting the old mind at ease there, Crown. Yes indeed our ceremonial posts bring us into the season itself. So I'll have to wait closer to Nov. 13th to share my thoughts.
Not all thoughts have to wait.
I was thinking this morning "why is Kool-Aid song playing in my head". Then it dawned on me, it's so warm here, it feels like summer. Oh yeah! Our temps pretty much matched those JayIsh and Iron Eagle have been experiencing. Although it is starting to get darker earlier and more leaves are welcoming Fall with new shades of red, orange, yellow, burgundy, etc. And then of course there are the pine & cedar trees growing along the creek too and they are staying green of course.
I noticed another tree coming home yesterday from work. I was shocked by what had happened to it. It is half-dead, but still trying to hang on. It's mostly trunk and branches with a few leaves in clumps in a few places and some totally bare branches. What shocked me was the burgundy-red-brown colours running up and around the trunk. I didn't notice it before, maybe it grew that way after our brief rainfall. Some kind of choke weed is growing up the trunk like vines adding colour to the old tree.
Guess I better snap a photo of that too before it's too late.
And the Dragon Tree photo and a few beautiful Fall images will be revealed soon.
Stay tuned to the same Christmas/Fall channel, folks!
I picked up a few more small Christmas presents tonight after work. Strangest thing, my husband suggested I do it.
Hey, our Wal-Mart has a selection of Christmas Cards, some Christmas trees and two Christmas Black Bear door greeters. It's not much, but it's a start.
I don't think I'll get a chance to chat and catch up again until late Monday night.
So for the Canadian members -
Happy Thanksgiving! :carve:
~ Looking forward to that next Opera, Bingster!
