It's late....but it's never too late for the Seasonal Candy of the Week!

Apologies first for the delayed post today. I had an early conference call at work, and it took my normal morning routine off the rails, so I was late getting everything else done today. That being said: NOTHING is going to ruin my Halfoween week! So without further ado, let's continue our look at upcoming candies for the 2021 Halloween season!

This might be our last new candy preview for a while until we see some more leaks, but we again have the CandyHunting Instagram account and AllHallowsGeek.com (a website I think @SolidSnake84 would be a fan of) to thank for today's entry. Candy corn: Do you love it or hate it? For most people there is no inbetween. However, maybe today's pick will bridge the gap: Nerds Candy Corn!

These have a Nerds candy shell with the soft chewy center of a candy corn, presumably with a fruity taste compared to regular candy corn.

For me personally, I'm taking a cautiously optimistic approach, but I can't see myself enjoying these too much, to be honest. I'll at least give them a try, but I'm inclined to stick with traditional candy corn. What say you? Yay or nay?

And now to catch up on the latest episode of "13 Days of Halloween!" See you all later, fellow spooks!
I'll try them ONCE. But I am not a big Nerds fan anyway so have low expectations.

DAYS TO HALLOWEEN : 185
DAYS TO OCTOBER 1ST: 155
DAYS TO HALFOWEEN: 1

Good Morning Halloween Fans! It is really something to see the "Days to Halfoween" count at 1. Incredible. The "days until Jack O Lantern Day" will return in a few days, but until then these counts will look a little skinny.

First things first. I felt fine all yesterday afternoon / evening after getting my final vaccination. I went to bed last night like normal. At a few points during the night, I felt like I was cold (like the heat isn't turned on / up enough), but it wasn't enough to be disruptive or make me feel worried. I got a heavier blanket and that seemed to do the trick. Now at 6:30 AM, I feel totally fine other than my knees and legs feeling achy, the same way they do when I finish running a marathon / 10k, etc.. No fever. I don't feel sick on my stomach, no sore throat or anything like that. So if this is as bad as it was, then I feel like I fared a lot better than most people. My dad was this way too, really no side effects after the 2nd. Mom had no side effects for either!

So now that's out of the way, Here is the final promo for Channel Zero: Candle Cove. Tonight will conclude my re-watching of the first season. I had so much fun and enjoyed it so much, this might be something that stays around for Halfoween build up, etc. There's 5 seasons total, so enough seasons to play around with that it never becomes boring!

And in case anybody forgot, let's plug this weekend's celebration one more time!

Have a great Thursday!

Tomorrow is Halfoween! Today marks the penultimate episode of the "13 Days of Halloween" podcast. I will chime back in here with a spoiler-free review of the entire series tomorrow once I'm done listening to the final episode.

I've certainly enjoyed this ride to Halfoween. This is my first year to celebrate it, and it has very much helped in curbing my seasonal doldrums this time of year. I'm hoping that I can keep the optimism going as we count down to the next Jack o' Lantern Day and beyond. Typically May is a tough month for me, but I said the same thing about April this year, and April was a breeze!

Happy Halfoween Eve, everyone!

I can't believe it has been nearly 6 months since I had my great nieces and nephew over for The Great Pumpkin Hunt (picture black Eggs with pumpkin spice marshmallows and mini ghost marshmallows). I know that it was because of Covid and the lack of some of the other typical Halloween festivities, but I would really love to do it again this year. Tomorrow I am going to start the seeds for this year's pumpkins! What a fun time!

HAPPY HALFOWEEN GUYS! WE MADE IT!!!

Today is Halfoween! We made it! We made it to this special HALF WAY point, and kept the Halloween Spirit in here going even through the glum months of the winter, and even now that we are still in the "offseason" so to speak, Halloween, and more importantly the thoughts of the coming Halloween seem to grow brighter by the day! It could not have been done without the outstanding contributions from all of the posters on this thread, so I thank you all.

Today the weather is going to cooperate perfectly. Low 60's and tonight a chilly 40's. Right now we've even got the classic cloudy "Halloween Sky". I woke up real early this morning and the first thing I did was put out my giant light up / laughing pumpkin that I bought at Costco last year. It felt so GOOD to hear it laugh and play the scary sounds again! I just stood there grinning at it for a good 2 minutes. It was such a happy feeling!

I hope the work day goes by fast, I've got my Halloween playlist to keep me company, and then tonight I will settle in for my movie marathon, as pumpkin spice aroma will fill the air and I've got Apple Cider for refreshment.

I AM SO HAPPY TODAY! Happy Halfoween Everybody!

HAPPY HALFOWEEN! Today is just about perfect: It is dark and stormy outside here, and I'm going to put on some Halloween atmosphere sounds in the background while I'm working. Then I get to finish up the "13 Days of Halloween" podcast today, and I'll post my thoughts on the whole series either later tonight or over the weekend. Tonight I'm going to put on "Hocus Pocus" and just let the Halloween ambience take over. Unfortunately I couldn't find any cider, so some warm pumpkin bread will have to suffice!

Happy Halfoween!!!

I have my cauldron of goodies sitting out on my desk today. I'm gonna get fat!

I put him out this morning and will leave him out until tomorrow evening. Couldn't find my pumpkin candy dish without unpacking a lot of boxes but found a Halloween candy dish. Tonight will be Halloween-themed movie of some sort.

Hocus Pocus Sounds like a great idea for tonight! I think am going to have to watch it too.

My pumpkin seeds are in their starter containers and I am hope it isn't too early but I thought it was a fun way to celebrate Halfoween! Hope watching them grow will make the wait a bit more exciting!

DAYS TO HALLOWEEN : 183
DAYS TO OCTOBER 1ST: 153

DAY 2 of the Halfoween Celebration! Let me tell you, Last night was....just amazing. No other way to describe it. I think I got it perfect. Between the light up Jack O Lantern, and the Big Laughing pumpkin, to the smell in the house from the pumpkin spice candles. It was there. Just like I hoped for and have been thinking about for the past 6 months. We even had some "Halloween Shadows" as I call them, from the street light reflecting through the limbs of my tree outside as the limbs moved in the wind.

Today is the grand Finale. Halloween 2 and Friday the 13th part 2, which was chosen from my collection. But I've got SyFy's Harry Potter Marathon, and AMC's Halloween Marathon to have in the background / in between. It feels good to be "over the hump" now! I hope everyone has a great Saturday!

DAYS TO HALLOWEEN : 182
DAYS TO OCTOBER 1ST: 152
DAYS TO JOL DAY: 29

Good Morning and Happy Sunday! It's the Halfoween wrap-up edition!

Man, putting away that big pumpkin this morning, and the few other little decorations I put out for Halfoween, it kind of felt sad! I had heard the pumpkin laughing since Friday morning, and with the cool weather, it really did feel like October in here the past few days. I think we got something special. I look forward to seeing how Halfoween grows and evolves much like Jack O Lantern Days did. And I think we're going to have a good ride, even TV networks celebrated this year by doing marathons of their own. Will they do the same thing next year? I think they will.

Getting right down to business. It's MAY now. It's been May since yesterday but I couldn't really wrap my head around it, still too excited with Halfoween happenings. The Hobby Lobby is coming to life with signs of Fall and Thanksgiving. Still nothing Christmas, yet, but I imagine that will change within the next week - two weeks.

It's May so that means we have a 31st, which means we have a Jack O Lantern Day coming up. Thank goodness. It was nice to return that to the count this morning. Fairly sure that May's movie choice will be "Halloween 4", which to this day I still think has the most outstanding "Fall Opening" of any movie, seeing the fall colors, cornfields, pumpkins, scarecrows, etc... But before we can celebrate on the 31st, we've got another "Dark Arts Sunday" coming up! It happens to fall perfectly on the 30th this month, so once again it is almost like a special little two day event. This month I will be going through "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban", and "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire"!

I hope everybody has a great Sunday! I look forward to returning tomorrow to update the "Weeks" counts!
