Good Morning Halloween Friends!

As Edge so greatly pointed out, this week is really going to be something special in terms of buildup. Just FOUR Days now from HALFOWEEN WEEKEND!

I woke up already excited this morning, after a fantastic Rudolph Day. They are always wonderful. The Christmas songs always seem to hit me right in the feels. But I'm excited for this week now. Another day of Channel Zero: Candle Cove. Day 3, the halfway point through season 1! My episodes will finish up on Thursday Night, which in a way, is sort of "Halfoween Eve" lol. And on Wednesday of this week, I get my final dose of the vaccine. Ready to have that done too!

It's gonna be a great week folks. Have a great Monday!

All of those counts look incredible this morning. Can you believe that in May we'll break into the teens in the weeks to October countdown?

I've got to admit, over the weekend I could feel my seasonal "blahs" creeping up on me. I'm not a fan of summer at all. I try to keep the negativity to a minimum, but it just really got the best of me this weekend, especially since my Christmas Hunting trip didn't happen. However, coming back to MMC and specifically to this thread on Monday morning is just the pick-me-up that I needed. I love that we're so close to October and the Bers now.

Well I am not fond of summer of either except for the fresh fruits and veggies that we either grow or get at the local farm stand/orchards so we can gripe about summer together LOL

I am no fan of summer. In fact, each year, following the summer solstice, I always post my meme on here that says "Leaves fall in XXX weeks, Crisp Mornings in XXX week, Lights glow in XXX weeks", and rejoice that we are finally on the way again towards early sunsets, and the comforting cozy nights with the living room lit up by the pellet stove and the Christmas tree!

I remember those posts! :)

Good Morning and Happy Tuesday! It's almost mid-week in our exciting and fantastic march towards HALFOWEEN, and our counts this morning certainly reflect that. A mere 3 days away!

I was finally able to get a new Xbox yesterday, after trying since Thanksgiving. It was a good feeling to wake up this morning and see that tracking number, the Xbox on its way from Kansas. It should be here by Thursday, which means I will have it (hopefully) in time for the special demo of Resident Evil Village, that I can play beginning on May 1st! So another wrinkle to add to our Halfoween celebration!

I caught an advertisement last night for "Wizarding Weekend" all weekend long on SYFY! Starting May 1st, It will play all Harry Potter movies and "Fantastic Beast" movies! I am tremendously happy about this, and I will have them on in the background because I've already got my "marquee lineup" of movies that I picked for Friday and Saturday night. This will be a good addition. Still have to go to the market this week and get some fresh cider to have on tap for the weekend!

Candle Cove winding down now - Episode 4 coming up this evening:

HAVE A GREAT TUESDAY!

Hey everyone! I got off to a late start this morning, so I'll be back later today with the Seasonal Candy of the Week post. I don't want to rush through it, and I've got to get ready for work now. But I hope you all have a wickedly wonderful Tuesday regardless!

Okay I am SO excited. My son and his family came over for family home evening last night and I educated the grandkids on Halfoween. They had to Google it to make sure I wasn't just making it up. They agreed to Halfoween trick-or-treating in half costumes no less. I promised full sized candy bars and then we are going to watch "Gremlins." Does it get any better on the last day of April? I don't think so. They also agreed to help me put a little tree for Leon Day (they had to Google that too). Their parents wouldn't agree to giving them half the presents they get on Christmas but we still have two months to work on them ..............hehe.

It's late....but it's never too late for the Seasonal Candy of the Week!

Apologies first for the delayed post today. I had an early conference call at work, and it took my normal morning routine off the rails, so I was late getting everything else done today. That being said: NOTHING is going to ruin my Halfoween week! So without further ado, let's continue our look at upcoming candies for the 2021 Halloween season!

This might be our last new candy preview for a while until we see some more leaks, but we again have the CandyHunting Instagram account and AllHallowsGeek.com (a website I think @SolidSnake84 would be a fan of) to thank for today's entry. Candy corn: Do you love it or hate it? For most people there is no inbetween. However, maybe today's pick will bridge the gap: Nerds Candy Corn!

These have a Nerds candy shell with the soft chewy center of a candy corn, presumably with a fruity taste compared to regular candy corn.

For me personally, I'm taking a cautiously optimistic approach, but I can't see myself enjoying these too much, to be honest. I'll at least give them a try, but I'm inclined to stick with traditional candy corn. What say you? Yay or nay?

And now to catch up on the latest episode of "13 Days of Halloween!" See you all later, fellow spooks!

Good Morning Halloween Fans! We are now on the "hump" of the week, getting ready to crest over and cruise down into our wonderful Halfoween weekend.

I saw that AMC is having a "Halfway to Halloween" marathon. They are going to be playing the "Halloween" films in a marathon on Friday & Saturday. That's awesome. Really gonna feel like the real thing having so many shows to switch between in between the movies that I've already chosen!

Has anyone else ever saw Halfway to Halloween advertised like this? Last year at this time we were really at the complete beginning of the pandemic, and I don't recall seeing much, if anything for Halfway to Halloween". I said a few months ago that April was going to be the new October, and it sure has felt that way, between the weather, and the excellent movies that have been / will be on TV!

Channel Zero is in the home stretch, only one more episode after tonight! Have a great day!

Last year from March through May one of the local radio stations were take a day here and a day there and play nothing but Christmas music which I loved but no thoughts were given to the other BER Holidays.

Amen! I am loving the road to Halfoween. I wish more people/places would jump on board. Can you imagine if Hobby Lobby started putting out Halloween stuff right about now?
I would love it if they did. I want to refresh some of my Halloween, Fall and Christmas decorations but can't afford to do that all at the same time plus come Aug/Sept I am focused on back to school clothes shopping. I would love to start buying some stuff now and spread it out over the spring/summer months and it would give me more time to figure out what I want and where to put everything LOL

If I remember correctly. HL puts out Fall/Thanksgiving before Halloween. That just seems weird to me.

BTW, Fall/Thanksgiving items should start showing up any day now. :)

Never. I guess people are looking for more ways to celebrate and enjoy life. All of our half celebrations make my life more enjoyable.

All of the things we do here make my life more enjoyable. Things like Tom Turkey Day, Rudolph Day, Jack O Lantern Day. MMC is my second home. I give thanks to all of you guys who interact with me on an (almost) daily basis, it makes my life better, that is for sure.
