WEEKS TO OCTOBER: 0
WEEKS TO HALLOWEEN: 5

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Normally I don't leave a count up once it has reached "zero", but I think on the grand occasion of nearly reaching October, it is warranted. Folks, October arrives THIS WEEK! Just 4 days from now we will be welcoming in OCTOBER! What a Friday it will be!

It looks like Halloween has blossomed EVERYWHERE. I wasn't to one store over the weekend that didn't have Halloween decorations. Rumors that Home Depot has started getting just the very beginning of Christmas stuff, and I got a $50.00 gift card for my birthday, so I might have to walk through the isles over there in the next few days. I've mentioned before that going through that garden section when Fall, Halloween, and Christmas stuff is all out at the same time is like being in a dream world.

Have a great day, friends!

It's Halloween season and October is just around the corner. This is all very exciting. I've noticed more Halloween displays going up in people's yards around the neighborhoods. My little display goes up this weekend. :D

Indeed, within the last week Halloween has just exploded onto the scene. Almost every store I visited this weekend had their full-blown Halloween displays up (except for Target. What the heck, Target?), and we saw multiple houses in our town already decked out in Halloween splendor.

Truth be told, I'm kind of sad that September's almost in the rear-view. It just went by so extraordinairily fast, and I feel like I was here for just the beginning and the end of it. On the other hand, the best is yet to come, and I'm pumped for October and Halloween as the introduction to our Christmas Triumvirate!

Got mine up this morning (mostly) just one or two little things left. I have to repair my trick or treat sign and I have to check out the strobes to make sure they are working.

DAYS TO OCTOBER 1ST: 3

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Last night I went into Bath & Body works at the mall to get what was left of their Halloween "wallflower" fragrances! I was sort of honestly shocked at how little remaining they have of Halloween stuff. Hallmark is nearby and while they had a good collection of Halloween stuff, you can see Christmas taking over. I myself do not mind since I love both Holidays so much.

I can't believe just 3 days now until we welcome in October. What a journey it has been and continues to be!

Have a great day, friends!

Three more days and our countdown drops to only one line item. Wow!

Throwing this out there for discussion: What Halloween candies are you eating right now?
I bought pumpkin shaped Reese's peanut butter cups at Sam's for the trick or treaters, and they are trying to seduce me, but so far I have resisted their obvious charms--pretty sure won't much longer. I also got some of those cute packages of Halloween themed pretzels. Those I have not been so successful in resisting and the sour pumpkin gum droppy things. Since I am the only one who likes them, no one would believe that I don't know who has eaten them all.

Good Morning Halloween Friends! And Happy Pines day to you all. We have now arrived at midweek, an observation that my wife and I last night made, that the week was going by too fast. And it does feel like it is.

But I also had the tiny thought that just *maybe* it was going by fast because we were all excited for October to get here. I think it is at least plausible. Pumpkin and spice and ghosts and scary movies have been on our minds for so long now, it only makes sense to me that that is the reason why time seems like its greased once again.

I for one am looking forward to those great October weekends where it's just a lazy day with nothing going on except for lounging around and watching scary movies on TV. And I will get to begin that routine THIS WEEKEND.

Have a great day, folks!

I've been eating the Reese's footballs. They're kind of like the Reese's Eggs you see at Easter, but they're bigger. In fact, the peanut butter-to-chocolate ratio might be TOO much. I can only ever finish one and then I've had my fill.

My wife has also purchased the fun size packs of Starburst and 100 Grand bars for us and the kids. I wince a little every time I open a pack of Starbursts and get two yellows. Everyone knows it's all about the red and pink. That's the Holy Grail of fun size Starburst packs.

Reese's Pumpkins and the Fun Size Kit Kats, everyday--and both are kept in my car, for my commute, just for me. Kids get to trick or treat, I can have a secret stash!

DAYS TO OCTOBER 1ST: 1

Good Morning to all! We are here folks, standing on the doorstep now to October. That might not be the best description. Standing on the doorstep is like getting to August and knowing only 30 days keep us from being home. Today is like standing on the front porch getting ready to knock on the front door. Not even 24 hours remain now before we will enter into October!

Halloween Season has been alive and well since last week, and if we are being honest, for many of us in this thread, even longer than that!

I've taken a mission up of collecting as many "Halloween" wall-flower fragrances as I can, to stock up for the "off-season", as well as make sure I have scents for JOL Days, Halfoween, milestone days, etc... I do the same thing with Christmas candles and scents. I have to do that because you know how retail is. As soon as October gets here, Bath & Body works will start switching over to Christmas stuff.

I for one am looking forward to celebrating the very 1st weekend of October! Have a great day friends!

Wow. September just flew by. I can't believe tomorrow is October. I looked at the count today and seeing 31 days to halloween just caught me off guard. I am ready for spooky season and looking forward to seeing the halloween/horror movies/marathons that will be kicking off.

Just one more day! The magic of October is upon us.
Magic, you say? Here's a pick from the Bers soundtrack that captures the magic of autumn and October minus any of the Halloween spookiness. It's a fitting listen for the last day of September.

(It takes a while to really get some momentum, so make sure you listen past the first 30 seconds!)
