Good Morning Halloween Friends! Happy Sunday. You can see today that the "Days to Halfoween" count is now down in the 60's, and we are just three days away now from hitting the 250 Days to Halloween milestone. That's gonna be a big one.

It's kind of funny, how I start feeling a "pull" for Jack O Lantern Day, i've had so many crazy thoughts the past couple of days that seem like they just came out of thin air. March draws ever closer and October thoughts are starting to creep back in to my head. I was at the grocery store yesterday seeing all the Easter candy and that's the first place my mind went. Easter was the last "candy cycle" before Halloween candy comes back. And then I was thinking about how I will soon be making another batch of Cherry cider. The thoughts feel good! It is going to be 50 degrees here today, definitely weather I would enjoy on October 31st. I was less then enthusiastic when I realized Halloween is going to be on Monday, but now I feel like Halloween is going to be the best Monday of the year, that is not nothing!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Are you ready to celebrate milestones this week? Because across our countdown threads, that's what we are going to get. I'm ready. First of all, we are now only TWO DAYS away from the all-important 250 Days to Halloween milestone! If that's not a way to celebrate reaching the mid-week on the last full week of the month, I don't know what is.

I've been noticing it getting lighter out much earlier in the mornings. A sure sign that Spring is nearly upon us. This sort of leads me into our Monday topic / question. Last Monday, we talked about if there was any other month / season that felt like or had a lot of similarities to October / Halloween Season.

Today, I ask you, is there any activity that you do, that brings you immediately to mind of Halloween / Bers / October season?

Yesterday, I was cleaning up the limbs and twigs that came down from the wind storm. As I was using the rake, It really felt like The Bers when I was raking up the stuff. Even the smell of the leaves and the ground "smelled" very Fall-like. And when I burned up the small pile of branches in my fire pit, It could have really been a great October evening there for about a half hour. The feeling of the warm heat, mixed with the slight chill in the air, it was a good feeling!

There is not really a certain activity that brings to mind the Bers. It's more like little things here and there: Maybe I'll catch a whiff of something that reminds me of October, or I'll see pumpkins on display somewhere, or a certain song will trigger some Bers Feels for me. Sadly, most Spring activities only make me think of Summer.
 
I have a huge tree in the backyard that never dumps the last of its leaves until around December, in fact, it still has a few hanging on right now. When the first warm days allow me to clean up those pesky stranglers, it feels like the Bers/Halloween season. The scent of wood burning fireplaces or backyard bonfires always bring memories of that season too.

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Just ONE day remaining now until we ring in the 250 DAYS TO HALLOWEEN milestone, coming your way TOMORROW! And from today's date, exactly THREE WEEKS until the 200 DAYS TO OCTOBER milestone!

These milestones have me not feeling the "winter doldrums" at all. Heck no, we are almost midway through the last full week of the month, and the March 1st "Day of Hope" looms large!

@The_Escalation has the correct answer. I only include them in months that we celebrate a JOL Day. But I’m here to try and please the people. So group poll time, do you want a perpetual JOL day countdown? Or just have it on months that have a JOL Day observed ?

We only get 5, right? Jan-Aug. I vote, YES. Add it to the daily countdown during the non-Bers months.
