Halloween 2022 Countdown!

I declare the month-end review to be a success!

Like I said in the Holiday Hangout, June really wasn't that bad. It was even enjoyable. I lament the lack of a JOL Day but am glad that we'll get one at the end of next month -- right before we begin the Fall preseason -- and then another to kick off the Bers!

Also lamentable was that no Halloween candy was spotted in June, but truthfully that was always going to be a longshot. I thought maybe CVS would come through for us and leak some of the goods early, but it looks like I'll be waiting until after July 4th before #HalloweenCandyWatch reaps any rewards.

All in all, a decent month, but July should be when things really kick into high gear.

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Happy Friday! Happy 1st day of the new month!

July will bring us some treats. No tricks. JOL Day and Dark Arts Sunday, as well as reaching the 50 DAYS TO THE BERS milestone, and 100 DAYS TO HALLOWEEN. This should also be the month that we finally see Halloween candy back in the stores, but it probably won't be until towards the very end of the month!

Also, I don't think I have to remind anyone, but this month finally will see Edge's "50 DAY PREVIEW OF THE BERS", that I think is is the most popular thing on this site besides counting down to Christmas.

Happy July. I really wanted to watch a horror movie but i am holding off until September and my marathon.

I decided to go patriotic this week and rewatched band of brothers which i have not seen since it came out in the early 2000s. Definitely want to watch The Patriot this weekend too. Got a nice long 4 day weekend.

Love the Band of Brothers movie. Loved it so much, I bought the DVD set.

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Happy Saturday. I feel like we are sitting on a powder keg, with July 4th only two days away, and how much we know it's going to "Feel" different in a few days from now. I don't know how it's possible, but we have low 80's all this week and even on Saturday it is only in the 70's. Only in the 70's in nearly mid-July seems crazy. I won't complain.

Tomorrow isn't technically a milestone day, but seeing only 90 days to October is going to be a happy gut punch. We'll also enter into a 50's count on Days to The Bers this week! That's incredible!

Morning Halloween Fans! One of the great things about the summer is when people comment about stuff coming in The Bers. Yesterday, coworker says "soon we start fantasy football." Can October be far behind? Have a great day!

Fall, Halloween, and Christmas crafting stuff going out at Walmart!

and also in the mail today, I got an advertisement for bath and body works advertising that “spooky scents” are coming soon! “Vampire Blood” candles and wallflower scent was featured prominently on the card!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Yesterday was quite the day for Fall / Halloween feels. First off, when we went to Walmart, I was happy to see the Fall, Halloween, and Christmas crafting supplies are out on the shelves. My Hobby Lobby trip showed MUCH more Christmas stuff including the little Christmas Trees, and Fall has taken up about half of the store in there now. It is beautiful and amazing.

I got home and checked the mail, and was hit right in the feels when Bath & Body Works sent me their advertisement that showed the Halloween candles and fragrances, and in big scary-looking writing, "Coming Soon"! Last year on the first weekend of August, the store was fully transformed over to Halloween. I'm figuring they had to start the setup process at least the third or last week of the month. So I think in about two weeks I'm going to go by there and just see what is going on. I would LOVE to catch them during the Halloween setup / changeover process.

Someone on Instagram posted their experience about already finding pumpkin spice cinnamon rolls at Walmart! I am here for it. Bring on the pumpkin spice stuff. Halloween candy isn't far behind.

Good Morning Friends! Happy 4th of July to you! A fresh new set of counts greet us this morning, the most exciting one now being that we have broken into the 50's count on the Days to The Bers!

That one just seems like it's been flying by ever since we hit 100 days there. It's only 60 degrees outside right now, and it just feels amazing. It's going to be hard to not think of Fall a lot today, especially as we know how different it is going to feel starting tomorrow. Only two days over the next 10 day lineup is supposed to get any higher than 85 degrees. In just a little over two weeks, we will have hit the peak hottest day in our area. I went for a walk last night and was met with a decidedly orange horizon, I tried to take a picture of it, but the phones never fully do the pictures justice. It was an orange sky with the black silhouettes of the trees and it felt very October / Halloween-like. It had cooled down too and everything was just perfect at that moment.

We know that things are going to feel different after July 4th is over. What are your plans for today?

We're going to go up to my in-laws later today and have some burgers and hot dogs, and then watch the fireworks. They live in the neighborhood behind the park, so we can see the fireworks from the back deck.

Today I'll be grilling, and later this evening we're going to my parents' for dinner. We each bought a bunch of stuff to grill, and since I only have my little Weber kettle grill we're splitting grilling duties.

After dinner, my parents are coming back over to our house to watch the fireworks from our back porch. Nearly everyone else in our neighborhood sets off fireworks, and we get a really darn good show. You can see them going off for miles.
