Morning Halloween Fans! It's another Sunday. Another very busy weekend. I've always said I want to watch Halloween shows all September & October. This year I'll make it happen. Have a great day!
I try to watch as much Halloween themes shows and movies as possible in September and October as well. Some years I get a lot in and some years not as much. I have a few movies that I MUST watch every year. Henry is now old enough and enjoys watching the movies so that makes it easier and more fun to watch them.

DAYS TO JOL DAY: 23
DAYS TO THE BERS: 24
DAYS TO OCTOBER: 54
DAYS TO HALLOWEEN: 84

WEEKS TO OCTOBER: 7
WEEKS TO HALLOWEEN: 11

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Does today's countdown remind you of 7-11? Do you think if I went to 7-11 (We don't have anymore here in our town), I could find a Halloween slurpee? I remember one year when we still had 7-11's that they had Mountain Dew "Pitch Black" slurpees. I don't even like ice cream, but they were amazing.

Anyway, that's our "weeks" count as of this Monday. 7 weeks to go until October, and 11 weeks until Halloween week is here.

Folks, we have another BIG milestone coming our way this Friday, and that is the 50 DAYS TO OCTOBER milestone. Just doesn't seem possible does it? I'm in pretty positive spirits coming off the very first weekend of "Fall Pre-Season". That leads me into our Monday topic:

Now that "Fall Pre-Season" is here, do you find yourself doing more Fall-themed activities / behaviors, or are you still trying to take it slow?

I'm doing a combination of both. I am gradually getting out decorations and changing over the house in anticipation of this weekend when I put out my outside decorations. I've already started listening to the Fall/Halloween playlist on the way to work, and I have been using the weekends to watch Scary movies. And of course NFL Football. Almost like September/October, but not quite. Doing it this way, I feel like I can get an "extra" month out of the Bers by incorporating some fall stuff into August.

Have a great day, friends! Keep Halloween thoughts in your head!

Nothing yet. Except for the one sign I sneak out and put up each year. It went up on July 26th this year and Michelle still hasn't noticed. It's on the wall just over the doorway from the living room to the kitchen. She walks under it several times a day.

Funny you should ask...

I couldn't wait any longer. I got the go-ahead from Mrs. Escalation to put up the Fall decorations this weekend. She was actually just as excited as I was.

And that means Mr. Boo finally gets to make a proper appearance:

I am moving slow, but my thoughts are racing for Fall. The only action I have taken is to take down the spring/summer valances (Purple Dandelions)non the Front Porch and put up the Fall/Winter ones (Grey and Cream Buffalo Check). I have seen some Buffalo Check items online at Dollar General and Big Lots that I am thinking I may treat myself to, but so far none of them are in a local store. This is Back to School week so that will be a solid distraction for a while.

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Today is supposed to get up to 90 degrees, which isn't surprising, but we've got the low overnight temperatures returning now, which makes the heat manageable. The temps really fall off a cliff after this evening though, with the next 10 days not breaking out of the 70's. This weekend each overnight low will get down into the 60's. I'm planning another little fire in the fire ring for Saturday night, it will feel pretty good I think.

BIG NEWS - Martin's grocery store finally has out Halloween candy. They were stocking it when my wife went through, and she came home with a bag of Reese Pumpkins, and one bag of bats! Seeing them there in the cauldron I keep out all year, you can look at it and really lost track of where we are calendar wise, it just feels like we are "home". This weekend when the rest of the decorations go out here, It's really going to feel like the "real thing". Today we are just about three weeks away from the meteorological start of Fall, which is on September 1st!

Let's go have a great day. Keep those Fall thoughts in your head!

Most stores around here now are in full Fall/Halloween mode now, which is wonderful to see. The Dollar General closest to my house already has an aisle full of Halloween candy!

But you know who does NOT? CVS! The usual street date breaking pharmacy doesn't have a single Halloween item in sight! Someone must have snitched to management that they allowed Halloween creep to happen the last three years.

And another thought could be that she has noticed and doesn't want to give you the satisfaction of knowing she noticed. LOL.

I know it is not just for fall and winter, but for me anything buffalo check just screams those two seasons.

Hello all!

Tomorrow is an exciting day; we are going to some stores in the hopes of finding Fall and Halloween decor!
Hobby Lobby is on the agenda which I know will have some stuff. We will also head to a store called Marshall's which has been good for Fall stuff and Fall coffee in past years. We will likely also go to Menards which should have their Halloween section up and going by this point. I am really looking forward to the outing and hope we are successful!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! I've continued to work on my list of movies for my weekend Halloween movie playlists. I've got a pretty good list started so far, but still have a ways to go. I was even thinking for the sake of authenticity, to throw a couple of "duds" in there like SyFy always does, like "Spider Man", or "Independence Day".

We're just three weeks out from the FINAL Jack O Lantern Day of 2022. I can't believe I am actually typing that out Our Bers destination is getting very close, as we approach the MID POINT of the month this weekend.

And don't forget folks that this Friday we celebrate 50 DAYS to October. That's a big milestone!

Have a great day friends!

Oh no, she would tell me if she noticed. It's funny how surprised she is each year. In her defense, there is a sign up there year round so it would be easy to miss. If I'd take the sign down and put nothing in its place, then she would notice.

I love my simple life. Little things make me so happy.

Instead of the SyFy "duds," why not add some duds that are still possibly considered scary/Halloween movies, but just really bad ones? E.g. The Village, Blair Witch 2, Killer Clowns from Outer Space?

Eh, I'd rather watch Spider-Man or Independence Day over any of those, so I guess you have a point.
