Good Morning Halloween Friends! That "Days to October" count sure looks gorgeous at 299 this morning, no?

I had to go to CVS pharmacy yesterday, and was surprised when I went in, that there was still a small isle of Fall & Halloween Decorations. It really surprised me because I haven't seen any stuff like that now in several weeks. Heck, even Walmart is just about out of Christmas Stuff for the "season", and I'm sure they are not far away from starting to change over to Valentine's Day and "Spring Merchandise".

But that's OK. We know that's the way things go in the retail world.

So here is our discussion topic / post to start off this Monday:

Do you decorate your house for Halloween?

We started decorating the outside of the House for Halloween in 2020. It was my first ever time putting "Halloween Lights" up, and I loved it! We used to always put out the pumpkins and corn fodder in September, but that was it! Now, the gradual outside decorating process starts about the 3rd week of August!

Have a great day, friends!
We mostly decorate for fall rather than Halloween. I do decorate the game room for Halloween and i added some purple lights to the hay bail on the front porch for the first time this year.

I decorate for fall first and then Halloween (inside and out) and then take Halloween down but leave fall up and add Thanksgiving.

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Last night I had a dream where it was Fall again, with the leaves, pumpkin decorations, etc. I don't even remember what I was doing in the dream, but I remember being aware that it was Fall and that I was happy about that in the dream! I've had lots of dreams about Christmas, but believe it or not I have never had one dream about Halloween or Fall!

Waking up from that, I was in a really good mood this morning, and I started thinking about what it's going to be like here in a few weeks as we start counting down to everything all over again. How fun that will be. Well, we are already counting down to Halloween now, but you know what I mean. The other holidays, milestones, etc..

Have a great day, friends!

I do decorate for Halloween, my favorite part is my Peanuts Halloween Village. I have started adding a few things outside and hope to add more. I like that they are all just for fun.

Morning Halloween Fans! Halloween candy continues to taste delicious in December. That sounds like a movie or slogan "Delicious in December". But people wouldn't think it's about Halloween. Have a great day!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! The chance of snow here was a bust. Now it's just calling for off and on showers from now - 8 am. It's cold enough though. Snow doesn't really make you think of Halloween though! One time here it did snow on Halloween, I believe it was in 2011.

Most of the trees still had leaves on them, and it snowed like 6 or 8 inches, so there were lots of power outages caused from the limbs breaking off, lots of tree debris in the roads, etc.

I just realized that when we get to this Sunday, we are half way through December weekends. It seems crazy that NEXT WEEK is the week before Christmas. How can December go by so fast? I do everything in my power to make the BER months, including December, last as long as possible, but it seems like a losing battle!

Have a great day, friends!

That reminds me. I have some Butterfingers I need to start munching on. :D

Morning Halloween Fans! Well it snowed last night (just showers no accumulation). Was cool to see though. I still think of October even when it's snowing out. It's in my heart. Have a great day!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Almost the weekend now! There's still a little tiny part of me who gets excited when approaching the weekend, because there's just that "muscle memory" that ALMOST thinks its an October weekend! But me even thinking about an "October weekend" means they still exist, sort of.

Last night I saw the commercial for the first time for the upcoming "Return to Hogwarts" cast reunion special that is coming out in HBO max on January 1st. Hearing the music gave me a dose of the "feels", and looking in the channel comments also did the same. One person posted "It's time to go back home". And you know something, I really found that fitting. It's January 1st at that point, roughly three weeks away. It will be time to start that long journey back. Back to the Bers, back to Hogwarts (Hellooo, Dark Arts Sundays!), Back to everything we long for all year long. There will be lots of Feels from yours truly.

I was reading lots of people's comments, and let me just tell you, I missed out on something AMAZING by not growing up with the stories. My wife did, as she was roughly the same age as Harry & friends when the original books came out. I know how much of a fan I am now, and how I felt when I first got into HP (I was 34 years old). How it makes me still feel I'm sure is no comparison to being there for all of that during the fandom's PRIME. It's something that perhaps one day I will be able to pass on to my children one day. Who knows, there might be new shows by then, or maybe even "new" Harry Potter movies?

Sorry for getting us off subject a bit this morning, but last night I really got strong doses of Halloween Season / Feels by seeing the HP reunion trailer, and thought about how awesome (and emotional) it will be to kick off January like that..

Have a great day, friends!

Honest confession. I have never seen a whole entire harry potter movie. I have seen bits and pieces but not an entire movie. Not sure how because my daughter was a big fan and read all the books. I really do watch stuff from that genre too. I guess that is something i need to try this offseason.

That is what I do too. I roll out fall in late August/early September, and add Halloween by October 1st, and then trade out Halloween for Thanksgiving, but I don't have a lot of Thanksgiving-specific decor.

Good Morning Halloween Friends! It's Friday! We made it. The only thing missing is the wonderful October weekend. But it exists in our mind!

When we reached our "300 Days to October" milestone, that was our last one for December. Just something to sort of whet our appetite for a little bit. We are approaching now the week before Christmas, so for most of the rest of the month, we just have to sort of "hunker" down, and enjoy the Christmas season.

I have officially decided that I will finalize all of my plans for Jack O Lantern Days beginning the last week of December. It should help me avoid the PCB's for the most part! The main Christmas countdown will help as well, as it always does!

January is going to bring us milestone days a plenty, just be patient. It will feel good to be crossing them off again! Have a great day, friends!

I was just thinking the same thing, except I'm going to plan for Halfoween. I've got to select some Halfoween media, like a new podcast series or maybe some books or something, to partake of in the days/weeks leading up to Halfoween. I might even give Halfoween its own special playlist this year! We'll see.

Good Morning Halloween Friends! The past couple of days my wife and I have been finishing up a project that we started about a week ago - We bought a 75 inch TV that was on sale, and she built a new, larger entertainment center out of red oak plywood, and last night we put the finishing touches on it and put everything back together. The first thing I thought about when everything was finished, was how awesome it would be to watch Halloween movies on it! I've got blackout curtains in our living room, and with the new huge TV and the surround sound, this is about as close to home theater as you can get!

We are going to wake up tomorrow and see our "Halfoween" count dip down into the 130's! Keep your eyes on that one, friends, I have a feeling pretty soon it's really going to start to move.

Have a great Saturday!

I am hoping to make a plan (and space) to start creating crafts for Halfoween and the Harry Potter breakfasts I am hoping to host for my niece and her kids. I'll have some time to shop online sales for crafting supplies and indulge in some Pinterest time for ideas, and then craft during Jack O'Lantern Days and Harry Potter marathons!
