Good Morning Halloween Friends! The last day of the month is here! I'm not disappointed to see February go. I was fortunate to not have any winter doldrums. Just too much coming up ahead to be excited for and to look forward to. The day of hope, it's here tomorrow!

Today also rings in the 300 days to Christmas Milestone! What a great way to start the week. Folks, I'm ready for JOL Day again, and Dark Arts Sunday. I'm excited to be able to enjoy the upcoming similarities between Spring weather and Bers weather. And, with the arrival of March, I can now say that we will not have another month until JUNE where we do not have a Halloween / October themed event like JOL Day!

Which brings me to our Monday topic / question.

Should Halloween be a National Holiday?

My vote is obviously yes. I think that whatever weekday the 31st falls on, it should be celebrated on, if it falls on a Saturday, you recognize it on Friday. If it falls on a Sunday, we recognize it on Monday. Of course, kids would still trick or treat on the 31st regardless of which day it is on. But my vote says "yes".

Have a great day!

Morning Halloween Fans! There was a comment this weekend about is it time to throw out the Halloween candy? Lol...well I don't know. It's not hurting anyone. And it tastes fine still. Have a great day!
My Butterfingers are still good. I'm not throwing them out.

Halloween is celebrated across the nation in every state. Yes, it should be a National Holiday. But not for the dark side of it. We should celebrate the fun side as most areas do.

Yes, Halloween should be a national holiday. Agreed with Rich though on the fun side vs. the dark side.

Alright, here's your tidbit of Halloween news for today. You all know I love checking AllHallowsGeek.com almost daily for anything of interest. Well, this is one place I'd find super interesting: a Halloween museum!

Throw out Halloween candy? If it tastes bad, throw it out, otherwise, why?

Halloween as a national holiday? Of course. And agreed, it would celebrate the fun side of it.

I think we've glossed over something big in the counts. Check out that Weeks to October count. We're sitting squarely at 30 weeks. If you're not excited that we'll be in the 20s by this time next week, then I don't know how to help you.
Trust me, I didn't miss it. And it will be glorious to see the 20's count arrive NEXT WEEK. :)

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Welcome to the day of hope. And also, welcome to being HALFWAY HOME to The Bers. But I'll let Edge ring that in on his Bers thread.

These numbers don't lie. We're just 30 days away from JOL DAY #2 now. A little less than TWO MONTHS now until HALFOWEEN. Two weeks away from the 200 Days to October milestone. We agreed last month that March would have lots of milestone days and things to be excited over.

I have the obligatory JOL Day #2 plug coming up, probably tomorrow.

Have a great day, friends!

30! 60! Perfect symmetry with those counts, and two months with back to back Halloween celebrations! I think this theme of "Spooky Spring" is what's going to carry me through this usually slow time of the year. If I keep the focus on JOL Day and Halfoween, there's no way I should get bogged down in the March slog, right?

Good Morning Halloween Friends! As you can see above we've now broken into a 50's count on Days to Halfoween. And I believe that today is "officially" Halfway back to The Bers / Halfway home. Either way, it's great being in March now. I echo @The_Escalation's declaration of feeling a theme of "Spooky Spring".

I have long stated how many similarities there are between Spring and October. Even now, seeing Easter candy everywhere, I can't help but be reminded of the joy of seeing Halloween candy in the store. And the temperatures right now are very similar to a late October day.

Well guys, it's time for me to plug Jack O Lantern Day #2. I picked my movie lineup way back in late December, as a way to have my own little "schedule" to keep and look forward to, just like I do in late September when I'm starting to look forward to "Halloween Grazing" as I call it - relaxing on the couch on October weekends watching scary movies:

Jack O Lantern Day #2 will be here in just a few weeks!

Have a great day, friends!

Okay The_Excalation, is there really anything more spooky than some sort of giant mutant bunny hopping around your yard, house and neighborhood hiding eggs? I mean, where did he or she get the eggs, what happened to the chickens who laid them and where exactly did he boil and dye them? And how does she choose who gets them. There is no naughty or nice backstory. I mean we could definitely come up with a pretty great horror back story. Not that we would want to, but still . . . . . . .

Good Morning Halloween Friends! It's Thursday. Almost like the weekend. We talk in here a lot about "Holiday Preseasons", generally occurring in the month before the Holiday arrives. Well, if weekends had a "preseason", I think Thursday would be it. You've sort of got a Friday vibe / feel, and you are also standing on the doorstep of the weekend. It's really the best of both worlds.

Next Friday we will be celebrating 50 DAYS TO HALFOWEEN, with the 200 DAYS TO OCTOBER milestone arriving a few days later. That will be a fun weekend for sure to know we are that close.

Have a great Thursday, friends! Keep a Halloween thought in your heart!

Oh wow, this could get really dark really fast. I mean...

How'd you like to catch a glimpse of THAT through your window as it leaves eggs in your yard?

I'm all for an Easter Bunny horror backstory. There's plenty of pictures like this out there to serve as inspiration.
