Watched a Harry Potter for JOL Day but that is as close as I have gotten.Morning Halloween Fans! I hope you're all doing ok. And I hope you're enjoying this early part of the month of June. Anybody watching any Halloween shows lately? Just asking. Have a great day!
July 13th is when my mood starts changing. Thanks to @Edge612 and his 50 Day Preview of the Bers. That's when it all starts getting real. We're just a few weeks away now from July 4th weekend. Do you see / feel any immediate changes to your mood / attitude as it pertains to thinking about Fall / The Bers after July 4th is over?
I stopped in at Hobby Lobby in Evansville, IN and Fort Wayne, IN last week, and neither had Christmas items nor much Fall out. Very disappointing. I'll be checking our HL tonight.I was really pumped up seeing the Christmas stuff in Hobby Lobby on Saturday, as well as seeing how much the fall section expanded.
Oh yes. I touched on this in the Thanksgiving thread somewhat, but the Summer Solstice is a huge turning point for me, mentally. Even though technically it marks the arrival of summer, I know that it's on its way out.DAYS TO JOL DAY: 55
DAYS TO THE BERS: 87
DAYS TO OCTOBER: 117
DAYS TO HALLOWEEN: 147
WEEKS TO OCTOBER: 16
WEEKS TO HALLOWEN: 20
Good Morning Halloween Friends! A new week is here as we march towards the mid-point of the month. I was really pumped up seeing the Christmas stuff in Hobby Lobby on Saturday, as well as seeing how much the fall section expanded. And it got me thinking to just how great a place we are in right now. Folks, we are less than a month away now from July 4th weekend. July we will see the stores beginning their "back to school" sales, and then, it's finally "our time". Hopefully Halloween candy out on the shelves by the end of next month. Then Fall pre-season and all of the goodies that brings, Pumpkin Spice returning to Starbucks, etc... It's a couple of more weeks until the major and serious shift that always occurs after July 4th is over...

I recognize almost immediately that following July 4th, I am in the phase of "summer's last stand", and thinking to myself that by that point, a mere weeks stands in the way of "Fall Preseason" and the slow transformation of houses being decorated for Fall / Halloween, etc. I find myself very content and motivated the last couple of weeks as I know that it won't be a long wait anymore.
Have a great day, friends!

I thought you all might like to check out my new Halloween wallpaper:

This is actually the album cover for a rock band called Red. I saw it and immediately felt like it made a good creepy atmospheric Halloween image, so I'm going to switch over to this for my desktop and phone background on the next JOL Day.
I have affectionately dubbed the creature/person/thing as "Mr. Plague Mask." His intimidating presence there along with the blood red leaves looks like something straight out of a horror movie.
I hope so. I've got a stockpile of Dancing Pumpkin Man memes I've been dying to break out.Only two Jack-O-Lantern Days left this year. Halloween will be here before you know it.

I honestly forgot they made a sequel to The Ring.Soooo, if anyone has the Epix drive-in channel, they are doing a horror movie marathon tonight!
Right now “Thinner” is on, followed by The Ring Two, and then Sleepy Hollow!
Guess what I’m doing right now!
I love when these things happen organically! And with this cool “Bers” weather, it could almost be an October evening!
