Of course, I had to go to the Home Depot website. For "only" $299 that skeleton can be mine. The seven foot reaper looks cool too. But like you, I am unsure exactly where I would store either. My granddaughter had a suggestion though, She said just put different costumes on it for each season. We did have a house not far from where I live who put Santa clothes on theirs and left it up through New Years. I already have four zombies that crawl up the front of my house so I am thinking of getting the zombie silhouettes, they are much more in my price range!
Not just Home Depot... Lowe's has a 12-foot mummy now, and even Walmart is getting in on the game with...this...thing...

Unfortunately the Walmart "rollback" doesn't apply here. The price is still $299.

Home Depot seems to carry quite a few inflatables as well. I am hoping they will have some Peanuts ones this year, I would like to add one for the Great Pumpkin Hunt or for my Charlie Brown Christmas tree lot, but I don't want to invest too much because I worry that the wind and gravel dust will be pretty hard on them.

Too bad I don't have an extra grand burning a hole in my pocket--I could totally outfit the yard this year. LOL.

DAYS TO JOL DAY: 14
DAYS TO THE BERS: 46
DAYS TO OCTOBER: 76
DAYS TO HALLOWEEN: 106

Good Morning Halloween Friends! This Sunday today marks only ONE WEEK to our next installment of "Dark Arts Sunday", and just TWO WEEKS until our next Jack O Lantern Day, and by default, "Fall Preseason Eve".

You know what else happens this coming Sunday? Entering into a 30's count on the Days to The Bers!

Folks, I had so many fall vibes yesterday working outside, it didn't start truly feeling like July until about 4 o clock when the humidity got high. The "sweat fest" is going to make its presence finally known later this week, as from Wednesday to Sunday, every day is supposed to be 90. It is the first time this summer that we have had back to back 90 degree days. And our peak hottest day is on Wednesday. The 10 day forecast shows us cooling back down though next Monday & Tuesday, with just mid 80's again. As August draws closer and closer, I am feeling this pull from Fall & Halloween maybe stronger than I have in many years!

Have a great day!

Good morning!

It is all rain today and a little cooler, so it has an early fall vibe going on.
So far I have not seen any Fall or Halloween decor at any stores. Hopefully some items begin to "creep" in. I usually really start to see things around the start of August.

Everyone have a great day!

I took my usual Sunday trip to the farm today and noticed they had some of the fall and Halloween stuff out. Most were the outdoor cermic pumpkins which i bought of few for my deck last year. Im like a little kid when i see this stuff and my wife just laughs. I just love the slow trickle of stuff from here until the season starts. Second week in a row I seen some Halloween stuff!

Just curious if you all have seen the trailer for the new Rob Zombie Munsters movie that comes out in September.

I think it actually looks pretty good and keeps the overall spirit of the original series. I know from watching several interviews with Rob Zombie over the years that he has always been a huge Munsters fan.

Good Morning Halloween Friends! UNDER Two weeks now until our next Jack O Lantern Day, and we will celebrate the 100 DAYS TO HALLOWEEN milestone on Saturday! Folks that will be the very last time we will see a count with triple digits in it until after Halloween 2022 has passed.

Edge is right about hardcore summer. We have 4 days this week that all are 90 degrees, beginning on Wednesday and lasting through Saturday. It will be the hottest time we have had so far this summer. Our peak hottest day is on Wednesday, and we finally will be starting the gradual downward trend on temperatures.

One year ago today, my Martin's Grocery Store had began putting out Halloween candy. I haven't saw any yet this season, but I expect it to be any time. That leads me into our Monday topic / question.

How do you feel when you see the first batch of Halloween candy in the stores? Do you buy some right away? Or do you feel its "too early"? There are no wrong answers here!

We buy it as soon as we see it because we know that all things considered, Halloween candy has a pretty short "run" compared in the scope of the entire year. Just about the end of July to late October. You can still of course find Halloween candy sparingly after Halloween is over, but I think there's something totally special about seeing it show up in late Summer, because it is the "foreshadowing" that The Bers are imminent! Have a great day!

Good morning all!

Another cloudy morning, and pretty humid. It rained ALL DAY yesterday, so much of my back yard is flooded again. More rain coming on Wednesday.

As far as Halloween candy goes, we usually start buying the candy as soon as we put up inside decorations which is early September. One of our decorations is a candy bowl, and it just doesn't seem right to have an empty candy bowl sitting out.

I typically pick up an assorted bag of mini candy bars as soon as I see them for the candy bowl and I try to resist picking up the fun size Kit Kats too soon because I will eat them all and then buy another bag, and another!

You are definitely my kind of girl! At my house, it seems like there is a bag full of mini candy bars in the bowl and then poltergeists or gremlins or other things that go bump in the night sneak them off and there are no more candies in the bowl and I just don't know how those empty wrappers got in the trash on the side of the bed.

Speaking of Gremlins, did anyone else read that Baby Yoda is being accused of being a rip off of Gizmo? Side by side, they really do look a lot alike.
