Good Morning Halloween Friends! Happy Day 2 of the 3 day weekend, Labor Day, better known as "Summer's going away party".

We are now just one week away from entering the FINAL 50 here in this thread. That's a big deal. I feel like it kind of crept up on us.

I see lots of houses decorated for Fall now when I have been driving around. It looks amazing! Have a great day, friends! Happy Sunday to you!

WEEKS TO HALLOWEEN: 7

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Welcome to Summer's Going Away Party! We've long recognized Labor Day weekend as the "goodbye" to Summer, and the grand opening / welcoming of being "back in The Bers".

I went to Lowe's yesterday evening for some lawn fungicide and was overjoyed to see all of the Halloween and Fall decorations everywhere. Edge says it all the time, but September really is that "sweet spot". You've got everything going on now - Halloween Decorations, Fall Decorations, Christmas Decorations, Halloween Candy... Every store has something to offer for the "Big 3" Holidays due to arrive soon.

And I'll be putting up my "Halloween Lights" up on the bushes outside in just about 3 weeks! How exciting!

Have a great day, friends!

So I have been in pumpkin mode since early August, buying up all of the pumpkin goodies and things that I can find. But yesterday afternoon I went to Target and a new sensation began to take over. I saw the aisles filled with Halloween candy, and they had the beginnings of their costume aisles going up with just a few Halloween decorations and costume accessories out right now. It made me really excited.

So now I have entered Halloween mode, and now I'm on the lookout specifically for Halloween goodies, especially the monster cereals like Count Chocula and Franken Berry that you can only get during this time of the year.

Michelle bought a new Halloween decoration this past week.

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Labor Day is in the books now. That means our next stop is October. But we don't want to wish September away, not by any means.

In just FIVE days, we will enter into the FINAL FIFTY here in this thread as we approach our "Days to Halloween".

Is anyone watching any Halloween movies yet? Since I created my playlist, I've been doing one during the weeknights, and then doing more of a "marathon-style" watch on the weekends.

Lastly, I think we need to hold a vote for an upcoming milestone. This year, the first "official" day of Fall is on Thursday, September 22nd. That basically officially rings in "Spooky Season", but I feel like nobody wants to wait until the end of the week to acknowledge it, so I propose "officially" starting Spooky Season here in this thread, next Friday, September 16th. Starting on Monday the 19th seems odd, as would be waiting until Friday the 23rd to start. But I try and do this thread and the things in it "for the people", so I am open to other suggestions.

Have a great day!

I have not yet watched any Halloween/horror movies. I was focusing on the holiday weekend which continues into today for me and have not really been watching any television. I am not sure I will even catch any this week with a very short week for me. My spooky season will most likely begin next week. I will slowly bring it in in September and will be full speed ahead come October. I am just glad to enjoy each day and don't really look ahead much now that we are in the bers.

I like it. It's not too far off, and starting it on Friday just "feels" right. Also, we will have already begun football season, and I feel like we've got the whole "back to school" season in the books already.

I'll start preparing my Spooky Season playlist.

I have not watched any Halloween movies yet- I am excited that the Bers are here, but I am still shaking off the feeling of summer/start of school, I think I will make the transition soon.

I am game for Spooky Season kicking off on the 16th, that gives me some time to close out the last of my summer feels.

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Happy Wednesday. Will it feel like a Wednesday, or a "Tuesday"? Yesterday at work sure felt like a Monday. But we are mid way through the week now, and on the way to another beautiful September weekend.

We are continuing to enjoy mild weather as we approach the mid-point of the month. The consensus here yesterday seems to be that we will officially begin "Spooky Season" on the 16th, about a week and a half from now!

And lastly, don't forget about what I believe is our "Final" milestone day of the 2022 Halloween Countdown, and that is when we reach the "Final Fifty" on Sunday, on our way to Halloween.

Have a great day, friends!

Even though it doesn’t feel like Fall yet, my annual Halloween old time radio playlist has started. Love this time of year!!!

I am a little late with getting autumn stuff up but working on it slowly but surely. Last February or March, Michaels finally got their fall stuff in and I bought a bunch at 90% clearance and now taking it out it is such a treat seeing new stuff.

My Halloween pillows have made it out of storage and will be making it to the front porch soon, but I am trying to wait until the weekend to harvest my ONE pumpkin!
