All of the countdowns this morning are looking pretty healthy and full. But may I call attention to the DAYS TO OCTOBER countdown - we are sitting today just ONE day away from the 300 day milestone. That's a big one, and the arrival of that one means that others are not very far behind.

Good Morning Halloween Friends!

Happy Milestone Day! Today marks having only 300 days remaining to October 1st! I'm not going to lie, that's still a whole chunk of time. The true joy in reaching one of these 300 day counts is realizing the proximity of everything else in the build up. We are well under 150 days to "Halfoween", and we are just a week out from being only 50 days to our very first Jack O Lantern day of 2023!

There will be only one 300 level count remaining, starting tomorrow, and that is the "Days to Halloween" countdown.

I wish I had a "Dawn of the First Day" meme that said "300 Days Remain," but the Count did it well enough.

I think this is truthfully the first year that I've been the most "aware" of the journey back to Halloween during the bonus months. Typically I'm too immersed in Christmas to think of anything Halloween or Thanksgiving related, but since coming to accept those holidays as part of the Christmas season, I'm much more interested now in the journey back. Milestones are a much bigger deal to me now, even the small ones. Although I'd argue that breaking into the 200s is not a small milestone at all. When our Halloween count finally breaks into the 200s, I'll be overjoyed!

100 days to Spooky Spring will be a psychological turning point for sure. We will only be for days out from Christmas by that point, and having that to look forward to so soon after Christmas will help ward off the PCBs.

I actually paused for a while after typing that because I just realized I'm not at all ready for Christmas to be over.

Good Morning Halloween friends! Happy Wednesday! We're marching slowly but steadily towards another December weekend. As mentioned previously, we will see our next milestone in just about two weeks - the 100 Days to Spooky Spring milestone.

Folks, I cannot stress it enough - we are not wishing away Christmas Season. I just think we are perhaps more aware of milestone days now that we are keeping a pretty full daily count list, as opposed to previous years of this thread where the "other" countdowns would not show up until after January 1st..

I got to watch the season finale of "Chucky" last night, I was not aware that there was one more episode left, I thought the season had ended the week of Thanksgiving. So I think that was my last little "organic" Halloween-ish experience for a while.

Next year is the 30th anniversary of our favorite Halloween/Christmas movie hybrid, The Nightmare Before Christmas. (Anyone else feeling old yet?)

Now...how can we tie this into our festivities for 2023? Hmmm...

Believe it or not I usually watch that movie during the year as one of my Rudolph Day movie choices!

I just saw a poll that said across the U.S., that movie is number three in the list of people's favorite Christmas movies.

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Happy Thursday! It's almost the weekend now!

Checking on the counts this morning - our next milestone will be in exactly two weeks when we hit 100 Days to Spooky Spring. I like the proximity of that milestone as it relates to everything else going on. @The_Escalation put it best, we are just a few days out from Christmas at that point. It will be nice to have something to focus on in the immediate aftermath of Christmas passing and that last week of December.

The weather here has turned back to being Halloween-like. Gloomy and overcast. I wondered yesterday if I would get any more Halloween-like "feels" the rest of this year. They are harder and harder to catch now.

I haven't caught any Halloween feels for a while. It's not a bad thing; it's just timing. I'll bet once Christmas is over and we start gearing up for the first JOL Day, the feels will probably come easier.

But by no means do I want to rush Christmas.

The house on the main drag in my town that went so all out for Halloween still has one of their huge skeletons up, even though the others are down. I thought they were going to decorate it for Christmas, but so far not. They still have pumpkins on their porch too. That means I can still get a Halloween "feel" if I need one!
