Halloween 2023 Countdown!

Yep, the Summer Solstice is a big one. I'll be jotting down sunset times again within the next few weeks and making comparisons. It's always fun to see how much earlier the days are ending, even if just by mere seconds at first.
With the arrival of June tomorrow, if you placed Halloween Season on a "gauge" of sorts, I feel like we'd finally be moving out of the red and into the yellow. Halloween Season itself would of course be the green part of the gauge. We are close enough now that it's no longer considered "too early" to start in-depth planning for Halloween.

I always enjoy looking forward to when the days shorten again at this point in the year. I guess there is nothing much to notice probably until about August.
I love all the great stuff about the solstice, moon and the stars. I always enjoy the monthly moon post by @DecemberisComing in one of the threads in chit chat that i can't remember off the top of my head.
I post those on the Off-Season Thread and I am glad you like them. I enjoy the solstices, moon, stars, and planets too and one of my goals for this year is to spend more time outdoors. I also like it when the days start to shorten and it is cool/chilly at night but the days are still warm.

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Welcome to June!
We are down in single digits now on the way to the 100 DAYS TO HALLOWEEN SEASON milestone, and now just two days away from reaching another major milestone, that one being 150 DAYS TO HALLOWEEN. It is our largest count and also the only count that will remain in triple digits by the time we reach late June.
We will also this year observe JOL Day #5 in June, for the first time ever. I personally enjoy having our three special days / tribute holidays each month.
Folks - the last thing for today, I think it's been mentioned, but at this point in the year, PCB's and any kind of missing the holidays blues should be GONE - I am fired up this morning for June and to be halfway to Christmas this month and everything else coming our way. Any feelings / emotions from this point I feel like are just going to be the excited kind, and hopefully not the "sad" ones that are common to feel in late December / early winter.

Hello Halloween fans!
Not much to report today really. I am hoping to get into the Halloween bins today or tomorrow while working on the garage. That will be a lot of fun just going through everything.
Oh...wait... I did think of something else. My wife and I were talking the other day and we decided we are going to host a Halloween Party this year. We had some friends suggest it last year, but we did not really have time to plan it or anything. So, we decided to go ahead and get started on it now. It will not be huge, mostly work friends and their families. But we have plenty of room and will have all kinds of Halloween themed foods. That also means that we have to step up our Halloween decor inside the house this year. Should be a lot of fun!

Pumpkin Update #1- I can see the first seed sprouting!
I too have a pumpkin sprout! Hoping for some more.
We are on our way now! Which variety(ies) did you plant? My first sprout is a Sugar Pie.
I planted all sugar pies. I like to make breads and pies in the Fall. The last few years I have not planted pumpkins and had to buy them elsewhere. But we added a new garden area so I wanted to give my pumpkins a go again.
I too love her moon posts. I have learned tons!
Sugar pie are the best for eating!
I think I will hold off on buying my baking supplies until I see if my efforts are more successful than last year!

Another hot day is in store here in Ohio.
Did not get to the Halloween bins in the garage yesterday, so hopefully I will get to them today. Even though I will not be putting anything up, I just love going through the bins. It is fun to see what is there again and plan what I want/need to buy for the upcoming season!
