Halloween 2023 Countdown!

Happy 4th of July!
Tomorrow I go all Christmas in July, and then August 1st, Halloween really ramps up. I added paramount+ the other day and one of the first things I did was add some horror and thriller movies to my list for this Fall.

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Happy Wednesday! Having yesterday off has made this week feel strange. There were many moments last night where I kept feeling like today would be Monday. Thank goodness we are already now at the mid-way point. And that means that some weekend vibes will once again start rolling in late this afternoon. I can feel it every week when it arrives and it always puts a smile on my face.
Folks - July 4th is in the rear view mirror now. Our next milestone coming up is obviously the 50 DAYS TO THE BERS marker, coming little more than one week from today. Beyond that is 50 DAYS TO HALLOWEN SEASON which will be here in about two weeks. And we close out the end of the month with JOL Day #6, which takes us right into Fall Pre-Season.
I'm going to hit some stores at the end of this week. I want to piggyback on the success I found at Wal-Mart with the pumpkin spice coffee. I'm planning a run to Bath & Body Works hopefully this weekend, I want to see how they are coming along with rolling out the Fall scents and items. I think their Halloween shop will be open within a month!

Wow is it hot and humid today!
Well, we are past the 4th so I expect to see more and more Halloween items in stores. Of course the big push will be August 1st and then all of the Halloween stores should start opening between mid-August and Labor Day. All of which is so close!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Happy Thursday! The weekend has came into view at last. Thursday is always the "goal" I set for myself when I start trudging through a new week. Things just feel better on a Thursday, I mention it a lot on here but I really think you can feel the week sort of "fading away" usually late Wednesday, and then you start thinking about the upcoming weekend. And it's a good feeling.
Folks, we are ONE WEEK out from reaching the "Final Fifty" to The Bers. I cannot hype this up enough. I think every person on this site looks forward to the 50 DAY PREVIEW OF THE BERS. It's my favorite thing on this site besides the daily Christmas countdown.
I'm going to scour the stores a little harder this weekend, now that July 4th has passed, I'm hoping for lots more Code Orange sightings. Bath & Body works is on my list for sure.

Rainy and stormy off and on here. Not much else going on today really. I am hoping to get out to some stores this weekend and look for the signs of Fall and Halloween! There is a decent chance I will end up at Cracker Barrel at some point.

Last night while we were on our walk, I encountered twice the "Bers Breeze" that I talk about a lot. It was almost like a blast of cool air was tunneling through the sweatfest. I wasn't expecting it to be here this soon in July, but here it was.
Folks, we are under a week now until the 50 DAYS TO THE BERS milestone. I could wax on all day about how exciting that is.
Take a good look at the "Days to Halloween Count", it is standing alone as the last triple digit count in this thread. We started the thread with SIX Main Counts in triple digits, and now we are down to only four main counts remaining (Not counting JOL Day count), only one of which that still has triple digits. And that is going to change in about two weeks.
I wish you all a happy Friday, it is my hope to see more and more "Code Orange" sightings this weekend. I desperately want to get over to Bath & Body works and see how much has changed in just a few weeks since I found their first few fall items. Have a great day!

Halloween vibes yesterday! We were driving around town, and my wife wanted to stop by JoAnn's. While we didn't see any Halloween stuff there, we DID drive by an empty retail space where a DressBarn used to be, and yes, there was indeed a "Coming Soon -- Now Hiring" sign hanging there for Spirit Halloween!

Just sitting out on the front porch about to do some football work. Of course I cannot think about football without thinking about the Fall. One thing I really like about coaching football is how much I get to be outside and enjoy Fall weather.
As I think about the football practice schedule and how close games really are, I quickly realize just how close we are to the 'Bers!

My great-nephew has made his first (may not be his last) request for his Halloween costume... he wants to be the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man from the original Ghostbusters! Not a Ghostbuster, not Slimer. but the bad guy. At 4.5 I am not sure he know the Marshmallow Man is not as nice as he looks!

I'm having lots of Feels seeing everyone post their code orange sightings, and I'm hoping to take in some myself this weekend! My wife has been playing Lego Harry Potter, and Abby has been watching, so there's lots of feels on that front hearing the soundtrack.
