Good Morning Halloween Friends! Welcome to July! We talked about it briefly Thursday when we did the July preview, but some BIG things happen this month. First of all, obviously it is July 4th weekend, and July 4th will be happening in just a few days. The second thing is our "Days to The Bers" count breaking into the 50's (!!!), and lastly, I hype it up as much as I possibly can because it is AWESOME, but that's the outstanding 50 DAY PREVIEW OF THE BERS, which takes place over in The Bers thread.

I'm hoping for some Code Orange sightings today. I'm going to try and hit Hobby Lobby to check out the Christmas updates, but I also have to swing by Lowes, and make my Costco run. Later this month, I should be getting a call that Wood Pellets are being sold by the full ton again. I usually start stockpiling the pellets by the end of July / through August. Thinking about using my pellet stove in JULY? Well that's just positively wonderful thoughts! Have a great day!

Morning all!

Yesterday my wife and I went to a local store called Roses. It is a cheap department type store. We like it as it has items the big stores do not and things are generally cheaper. Reminds me of some stores when I was a kid. Anyway, the important part of the story is...... They had a handful of Fall and Halloween items out! Mostly small kitchen containers and bowls, but hey, it is a start!

Happy Sunday, Halloween Friends! Time marches on in our countdowns and it looks as though VERY SOON we will enter into the 50's on our way back to The Bers. July 4th will be the magic day that we see that Bers count start with a 5!

Folks, Code Orange at my local Wal-Mart. Pumpkin spice coffee was the first item I saw. They have moved around the whole store though, so things weren't where I would typically find them, but a few more weeks of shopping trips there and I will get the layout down. I think as far as seeing the pumpkin spice coffee yesterday, that's the earliest that I've saw something in Walmart. I was seeing some of the posts online on reddit / and my FB groups, and I knew it wouldn't be long until I could see it locally for myself!

Have a great Sunday, friends!

Our local Walmart just went through that too. They still aren't totally done, but they've already moved everything around and have remodeled much of the store. It does look much better, but everything seems more claustrophobic now. I feel like the aisles are packed tighter together, and it's hard to find things because I'm not used to the new layout yet.

On a different note, seeing Code Orange for myself in both Walmart and now Cracker Barrel has given me a HUGE rush of excitement. Everyone on social media is already proclaiming it Spooky Season. I don't think I'll go that far; after all, we still haven't had July 4th. But on July 5th I'll be ready to immerse myself in all things Fall and Halloween.

Hello Halloween fans!

On our way back from breakfast this morning we pasted an old office building. In the windows of the second story were animatronic "monster movie" figures. I did not see them all, but there were about 10 of them. It was really cool. Next time I am out that way I will get a better look. But it was neat to see.

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Today is the big day! The day before July 4th. Tomorrow is a big turning point mentally. Where does tomorrow rank up there in other significant days during the year? November 1st and the arrival of Christmas nearly everywhere comes to mind, as well as August 1st or perhaps September 1st. And we also can't forget Memorial Day, which annually kicks off our around 100 day journey back to The Bers. But, when July 4th is over with? The next big things we will see is obviously Fall Pre-Season which is now 29 days away, and Labor Day. Folks we are just about there. It's so special. And I'm glad that everyone who is a part of this thread is keeping track of the time along with me.

I echo Edge in saying that even though I'm working today, it doesn't really feel like a Monday knowing that we are off tomorrow. Have a great day!

Yesterday felt like the 4th to me so I am hoping to get back into a festive spirit and enjoy the next two days. I am going to take a walk after breakfast and spend some time reading in my pumpkin patch (the patio, LOL). After that I may try a Halloween craft and some meal prep.

After tomorrow, the only thing holding me back fully from Fall feels will be the heat. There's no relief in sight from the 90s. I don't expect August to be any better, but there will be a deluge of Fall and Halloween goodies released by then, and we have preseason football returning, so that will help take my mind off the heat.

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Happy 4th of July! Today is another day that many of us have been waiting for. July 4th to me, besides being patriotic and a wonderful national Holiday, sums up the Heart of Summer. Even though the calendar states differently, I always feel like July 4th is Summer's grand going away party.

You can see that this morning we have finally broken into a 50's count on our days to The Bers. The "Final 50", is now just nine days up ahead. I can't wait!

My Tuesday Halloween thought today is obviously how much mentally we change beginning tomorrow. Fall Pre-Season is exactly four weeks away from this day. I am about 2 1/2 to 3 weeks away from the hottest days of the summer. I am in a good place mentally, I've had Code Orange sightings now at several places that we commonly frequent, and I know that the true changeover is coming after today. Probably just a couple of weeks out from seeing the first batches of Halloween candy hit the shelves. Folks, it's a good place to be.

Have a great Tuesday and Happy 4th of July!

Happy 4th of July! It is exciting to see the count drop down into the 50s and I am looking forward to when we hit the count up on September 1st. Like @SolidSnake84 I have often felt that today is the start of the end of summer but I am going to try to fight this feeling this summer and to embrace all of July. Seeing 2 Back to School displays going up (Dollar General and Walmart) have not helped but I am going to try just the same.
