I’ve seen one house close to ours that is all decked out for Halloween. They have to have 20+ blowups in their front yard. Plus lights.

I have started my fall evening walks again yesterday since the temperature is comfortable again. I saw a bunch of fall decor on my walk, but 2 houses had their Halloween decorations out. The Halloween decor will increase each week now. By October, there will be a bunch decorated. I just love the slow buildup week to week into October.

We have been driving around our neighborhood looking for any signs of Halloween, but everyone is going to be fashionably late this year, I guess. Either that or they're waiting for the official start of Spooky Season. There are usually a couple of houses we can count on to have their decorations up by now, but nope, not this year. For goodness' sake, I need to see a 12-foot tall skeleton!

I think we need to do a mass e-mail on when the Spooky Season starts.

Good Morning Halloween Friends! TGIF! At long last the weekend is here. It's 54 degrees outside and almost on the edge of being chilly. Autumn is really here, I think.

Halloween Season is now just three days away. Tomorrow will mark only two weeks until our very final JOL Day of the 2023 season. And on Sunday, we will be only TWO WEEKS away from October. WOW!

I hope you all have a wonderful Friday! Thinking Halloween thoughts will be easy today!

I don't buy Scentsy things very often as they are pricey, but they had this plush pumpkin and I couldn't resist getting it. It was cute in the catalog, but it was delivered today and is bigger and cuter than I thought. I got a spiced cider scent packet to go in it and the wonderful smell makes it feel like HALLOWEEN!!!!!!!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Today is a special one - we are just TWO WEEKS away from the very FINAL Jack O Lantern Day of 2023, and we just hit the 100 Days to Christmas milestone over in the main countdown thread!

It's 48 degrees outside. The nights are getting so cool now that probably in a few more weeks we might be thinking about having to run some sort of HEAT in the house overnight. I think last year we made it to very late October before needing to run heat.

Tomorrow, we are standing on the doorstep to Halloween Season, and I hope @The_Escalation will be here with some of his memes. This is a good point in the year, friends. I love where we are in September. Truly the sweet spot.

Have a wonderful day!

Good evening Halloween Fans!

Just got home from a night Cross Country Meet. Henry took another 15 seconds off his time. He keeps getting better.

I picked another 6 pumpkins from the garden today. There are still 3 more good size pumpkins that need a little more time, and then another 4-6 that are small and will make good decorations.

The weather is so Fall like, it is simply awesome!

I keep seeing more and more houses with Halloween and Fall decorations up. We still need to get our outside stuff up. Tomorrow would be a great day to do it, but we have a busier than normal day tomorrow so it probably won't happen.

Good Morning, Halloween Friends! Happy Sunday to you. We're a day before a major event here - nobody needs to guess what it is. SPOOKY SEASON begins tomorrow.

We had a beautiful autumn day yesterday, I was able to mow the front and back yards for the first time in almost 7 weeks, and this morning, it is a cool 56 degrees that is made chilly by the rain. We really need it though. Earlier this month we were in a drought warning, which was rescinded two days ago by the local government. We are at 18 inches of rain for the year now, which is still about 6 inches short of where we normally are at this point in the year, but we usually have very rainy falls so we have a good chance to get "back to normal" heading into winter.

Cold rainy days like this are an autumn staple here. We lose a countdown tomorrow folks, we will be down to just THREE, from our peak of Seven main countdowns last year when this thread was still "new" counting down to this Halloween. This is such a wonderful time of the year. Have a great Sunday!

We now have 3 houses around us decorated for Halloween. It definitely raises the excitement level when you see others starting to join in. Yards and porches will be decorated from now until after the first of the year. Love it!

Morning Halloween Fans!

It is a nice cool morning in the low 50s. It will only get to about 74 today... nice early Fall weather.
Looks like 80s the end of this week, but then back down to the lower 70s next week.

I really want to make some pumpkin bread today, but I don't think I will have time. I need to cut and cook a pumpkin first, and we just have several things going on today. Perhaps I will have time to cut and cook one and then make the bread Monday or Tuesday.

We have been trying to watch Halloween shows and movies and I have Halloween music in the car and pretty much playing all of the time.
