What will I do for the very last JOL Day of 2023? It's already Spooky Season, so I've already been listening to my Halloween playlist regularly. It's gotta be something special since this is the last one. I think perhaps a scary movie is due.
Halloween 2023 Countdown!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Happy Thursday! Yesterday evening it was just gorgeous outside. My Dad was mowing the front yard next door, and the cool air and the strong grass smell just screamed out Fall. It got down into the 40's overnight last night. It makes me realize that this weekend is probably going to be when we officially "get ready for winter" here, that means taking the air conditioner out of the window here in the living room, and disconnecting and rolling up the garden hoses and putting them away.
Of course as soon as I do that, we will hit a patch of several days when it gets in the 80's again. I could see a few days hitting 80 degrees, but it would be strange, probably near or at record highs for October, and it is nearly guaranteed to not have those temps stick around.
So since Saturday is our final JOL Day of the year, I'd like to do our September recap today, since I never want anything to take away from the focus of an MMC Special Day. It's a pretty quick one. September obviously bought us the return of the Bers. Spooky Season officially began. We lost two more countdowns obviously when we made it home to The Bers, and when Spooky Season started. I hope that for most of us we saw the weather turn the other way, and I hope that there were lots of beautiful sunsets. I haven't saw any "Bers Sunrises" yet, but they are coming my way soon.

Strangely, I'm not seeing any Bers sunrises yet either, but the Bers sunsets are getting stronger. I think this weekend might finally be the weekend that we get our first orange and purple "genuine" Bers sunset. I can't wait to see one; I've got "Between Twilight" locked and loaded on my Spotify playlist for just such an occasion.

Good Morning Halloween Friends! This is it! The grand finale of September! Tomorrow is JOL Day, our very last of the season, and then on Sunday, we finally welcome in the grand month of October!
We're actually going to preview October this morning! October is the grand month that we count down to 365 days each year, 24 hours a day. October is the grand return of early sunsets, crisp mornings and cool nights. Sweater / Hoodie weather. Bonfires. Haunted Halloween Trails, Jack O Lanterns, Halloween lights and decorations on the houses! I could go on and on. It's the month, along with the rest of "The Bers", that I think about often, whether I'm in the early days of the PCB's, or deep in the winter doldrums, my mind and heart always come back to this special time of year.
So I hope everyone enjoys their Friday, is ready to celebrate JOL Day tomorrow, and is ready for October to be back. This coming month is OUR MONTH, we have worked hard to get here! Have a great day!

I am ready for my third and final kickoff of Halloween with the arrival of Spooky Month in which most others will join us for Spooky Season.

Evening Halloween Fans! Tonight we turn the calendar to OUR month folks. I don't know how that is possible. I remember last year on November 1 talking to my family about the 11-month journey back to the most fun month of the year. And here we are on the final day of it. Happy Halloween!

I have to be brutally honest here. I am NOT ready for October to be here. Is there such a thing as Post September Blues? Is that even possible to have blues of any kind in the prime of The Bers? I can certainly agree on PFHB's (Post Fall Halloween Blues) but we are neither post Fall, or Post Halloween yet.
Ready or not, here we come. AMC got started yesterday with their own Michael Myers marathon. It made for a great Spooky Evening on the final JOL Day of 2023. And we had a "Halloween Moon" last night, adding to the experience.

I am ready for October, or at least I think I am! September went by so fast that I hope nothing comes back to haunt me!
Evening Halloween Fans! We made it to OUR month of October. How does it feel? It feels amazing to me. It feels tremendous. I'm happy that we're here HOME in the land of the spooky. I'm going to see Halloween lights this evening (4th year tradition). Happy Halloween!
Just got back from taking my little dog for a walk! Such a beautiful 1st day of October. I-Spy a couple decorations while out. I’d love to pull out some of my Halloween blowmolds but most my things are in storage right now. So I will enjoy everyone else’s decoration this year.

Good Morning Halloween Friends! It is indeed our month at long last and we are beginning another October day. Here it is actually supposed to reach 80 degrees. Somehow, when I think of Fall and October, thoughts of 80 degrees do not go in there.
At night times though, it really does "feel" like Halloween time with the Halloween lights being up now, and seeing more and more houses decorate in the neighborhood here. I mentioned yesterday that I will have lights up now for the next 3 1/2 months, so that is a happy thought!
I'm looking forward now to the long three day weekend, (Our office is closed next Monday), the premiere of "Pet Sematary: Bloodlines" on Friday, and then finally, Chucky Season 3 will be coming out on October 14th. To me, these are classic Halloween feelings, looking forward to seeing the next scary show / movie in October.
