DAYS TO JOL DAY: 6
DAYS TO OCTOBER: 7
DAYS TO HALLOWEEN: 37

Good Morning Halloween Friends! A new weekend day is now here for us to enjoy. September weekends are almost as good as October. Not quite though. I think October weekends, even when compared to weekends in November and December are the finest weekends out of the entire year.

Today the remnants of Ophelia leave our area later this morning. It rained 2 inches here in the storm, and it's still drizzling outside. You could tell how dry our ground really was because there are no puddles or water laying ANYWHERE, it just soaked right into the ground like a giant sponge.

Today is going to be another day of being inside and just enjoying being in Fall, watching some scary movies, and maybe later trying to do some cleaning before dinner time.

Have a great day, friends!

Hello Halloween Fans!

I have been so busy I have not been able to really enjoy much in the way of Halloween movies yet. I listened to Halloween music all of the time, but I am always doing something, so watching a movie is tough to fit in. My wife, son, and I were talking about it just a few minutes ago that we have to set some evenings aside for movies.

We have not put our outside decorations up yet either. The plan is to do that next Saturday/Sunday. That is later than usual for us, but there just has not been time so far. But we have to make it happen... and soon.

I hope everyone has a great and spooky Sunday!

We decorated the inside of the house for Halloween this evening. It looks so festive. I'll transform the outside tomorrow after work. For the first time ever, we have lights for the outside.

DAYS TO OCTOBER: 6
DAYS TO HALLOWEEN: 36

WEEKS TO OCTOBER: 1
WEEKS TO HALLOWEEN: 5

Good Morning Halloween Friends! It's Monday again. Nobody likes Mondays and I especially don't. I'm off work on Wednesday this week for a dentist appointment. I'm a wimp and they have to put me to sleep (literally) so I don't have so much dental anxiety. Being off one day this week might either make this week go by fast, or slower. But when I come back to the office after being off on Wednesday, it will be Thursday, which you all know is like my "Mini Friday".

You can see on the counts above that we are going to lose TWO counts alone this week. We lose the JOL Day count on Saturday, and obviously on Sunday is the end of our "Days to October" count with us being back in October. And today is the last time we will see the "Weeks to October" count until after Halloween 2023 is over and we have started the 2024 countdown thread!

Have a great day, friends! Think those Halloween thoughts!

I delivered my great-nephew’s birthday present early…. A Halloween inflatable of the Stay Puft Marshmallow man. He is a Ghostbusters fan and thinks inflatables are the best. I left it with his dad, to put out one night to surprise him! I can’t wait!

DAYS TO JOL DAY: 4
DAYS TO OCTOBER: 5
DAYS TO HALLOWEEN: 35

Good Morning Halloween Friends! It's Tuesday and we are inching forward headed to our very first OCTOBER WEEKEND of 2023. I've made so many posts about how October weekends I think are the finest out of the entire year.

I saw a commercial last night for AMC Fear Fest, it begins this year on September 30th, it was the first time I've saw a commercial for it and felt like it was kind of late this year, or maybe I have just been missing it when the promos were on. But even right here that close to October it still hits right in the feels.

I mentioned it yesterday, but we are going to lose two more counts this week, I am honestly not happy about that, but time marches on. It will truly be strange and maybe a little surreal to wake up on Sunday morning and see just ONE count on here.

Have a great day, friends!

That sounds so cool! Sure are a lot of house decked out around here. Always puts a smile on my face. Evidentially, Utah will be the most Halloween Decorated stated this year (according to Lombardo Homes, but how they can really know beats me--they say they base it on Google searches, but I search for a lot of things I never end up purchasing). Evidentially we like spiders and spider webs. Minnesota is next and there they like ghosts.

The alleged top 10 decorations are:

  1. Pumpkins
  2. Corn Stalks
  3. Skeletons
  4. Black Cats
  5. Witches
  6. Tombstones
  7. Spiders/Spider Web
  8. Crow
  9. Bats
  10. Ghosts

My favorite on this list (aside from real pumpkins) is Black Cats. You?

Hello Halloween Fans!

Hoping to get the outside decorated this weekend. I hate being this late in getting it done, but just been too busy.

I wish the weather would cool down a bit more. We have crept back up into the upper 70s. It hasn't been hot, but not as Fall feeling as I would like.

I feel your pain, after about three days of perfect weather, yesterday and today have been in the 80s.

Good Morning Halloween Friends! It's Wednesday! You all know how much I love Wednesdays. You can see on the counts this morning that we are just THREE DAYS away from the very LAST Jack O Lantern Day of 2023. It's hard to even type that out just now. October stands waiting in the wings and will welcome us in FOUR DAYS.

And then those two counts will be gone. It's kind of crazy and scary at the same time.

I'm seeing ads now on TV all the time for Fear Fest and 31 days of Halloween. I guess I just wasn't paying attention. It feels good every time I see them.

I'm off work today because of a dentist appointment. Later this afternoon I might venture out to Lowes and maybe even make a Hobby Lobby trip to soak up some more feels.

Have a great day, friends!

I'm gonna guess that In Texas the #1 is skeletons. We see a lot of those around here.
