Halloween 2023 Countdown!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Friday the 13th is in the books now. It was fun watching Jason on TV and feeling the general Halloween / scary vibe that permeated yesterday. He was on so many different channels!
The next Friday the 13th will be in September of next year!
Two of my favorite scary movies are on AMC tonight, "Halloween 4", and "Christine".
I have said it a thousand times, but I think the opening to Halloween 4, even if you did not know it is a horror movie, has the best opening of any film set in the "Fall", and you instantly are put in an autumn / Halloween mindset. Here it is if no on knows what I am referring to:
Have a great Saturday, friends! Too rainy to do anything outside today, so I'll just be relaxing in front of the TV, better known as "grazing". Have a good one!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! It's another October Sunday. It's 45 degrees outside. The chilly rain moved out at some point in the early morning, and today should be one of those beautiful October days. Just a bit on the cool side, but not cold. There was a ghostly fog until around 4 am today!
Far too wet to mow this morning, so that's all going to have to wait until next weekend provided it doesn't rain again.
I'm just going to enjoy another beautiful autumn day, try and catch some scary movies this afternoon, and then settle in for some Harry Potter to close out the evening.

Happy Monday Halloween Friends! You can see from the counts above that we are over halfway through the month. Any other month I'd be excited, but not now. This sure has been a strange Bers season for me so far. Not only is it tearing by fast, but I have to be honest when I say that I have already had what I feel like are some moments of PHFB's. But how is that even possible when we aren't even "post" anything yet?
Our big Christmas tree comes out now in 10 days. That just doesn't seem possible!
Let's have the best Monday we can have, as we begin the journey back to another wonderful October weekend! Have a great day!

Happy Monday Halloween Friends! You can see from the counts above that we are over halfway through the month. Any other month I'd be excited, but not now. This sure has been a strange Bers season for me so far. Not only is it tearing by fast, but I have to be honest when I say that I have already had what I feel like are some moments of PHFB's. But how is that even possible when we aren't even "post" anything yet?

Happy Tuesday, Halloween friends! Today's morning count is the SCARY EDITION. How in the world can it be only TWO WEEKS left until Halloween?
I think I've gave up on trying to slow down time and I'm just trying to now enjoy each day that I have left of October by trying to do / see at least one "Halloween Thing" each day. It might just be seeing leaves falling, seeing a tree turn colors, seeing a jack o lantern somewhere, or even something as simple as burning a Fall candle or watching a scary movie.
Time has now been greased, my friends. And I'm not too worried, we still have JOL Days and our full list of countdowns to return to, after this Halloween is in the books. And just like always, I know that first JOL Day will roll around and start "refilling" that Autumn / Halloween meter.

I'm gonna be soaking up all the spooky that I can for the next two weeks. I still haven't watched Hocus Pocus or The Nightmare Before Christmas yet!
