The Halloween decorations have been taken down, signifying the official end of the Halloween season in my home. When I left for work yesterday, my jack-o'-lanterns, which were in decent condition, did not hold up until today, as I had hoped. To my surprise, by the time I returned home last night, one had completely collapsed, and the other two were on the verge of doing so.

It's a really depressing to realize that there are still 311 days until I can decorate for Halloween again. Unfortunately, I have a somewhat rare condition called "time-space synaesthesia," which means I literally see time, and being able to actually see how long the road to Halloween is can be torturous.

I am keeping my Halloween decorations up until Sunday and may do it over the course of a few days. I hate to see them go but I need to do some cleaning in the interim between now and when Christmas decorations go up!

I think I have that same condition. Mine flares up the day after Christmas. Truly awful.

Good Morning Halloween Friends! The first full weekend of November is here! My plans for today are to obviously run the half marathon this morning. After that, to keep me limber and from getting so sore, I want to do my outside Christmas lights and decorations. The moving around will be good for me.

The countdowns above are both exciting and a little daunting at the same time. So far away now, and getting farther away from everything that we loved about October. This time of the year I always feel like we are marching AWAY from October/Halloween, even though we are technically counting down again. But oh how that perception will change in two more months!

Have a great day!

Evening Halloween Fans! You know this might be the most underrated time of year? Seriously I was thinking today how us Halloween fans are still holding on to it and yet the JOY of what's right in front of us now (but we still are safely not there yet) is just overcoming me inside. Happy Halloween!

I'm familiar with the condition and what it entails. I hope that during your time on this thread, you can see that because of all of the special things we do throughout the year, that the "road" you see is not as torturous as you imagine. Right now is kind of a lull due to the pending Christmas Season, but business picks up in January. Trust me.

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Final day of what I call the "Halloween Afterglow" period. Today my goal is to finish my outside lights and decorations, and get started on mulching up leaves because it is such nice weather.

Full counts this morning all across the board and they will stay full for some time, here in early November and the very, very, early stages of our NEW countdown. Halloween is in my heart but Christmas is on my mind now, especially looking at all we have coming up!

Have a great day friends!

Today is the day I am going to take down my Halloween Village and decor and put out the few specific Thanksgiving decor I have so I guess this is the official end of Afterglow for me too. I have Apple Cider Donuts in the freezer for 2024 pick-me-ups and I am thinking of adding the remaining Halloween Candy. I would like to do one more sweep of Dollar General for Halloween Clearance but I don't know that I want to do it today.

The end of the Halloween afterglow starts the beginning of the Thanksgiving pre-glow, so there is that.-santa dance-

Oh, believe me... I'll be leaning heavily on those special days to brighten my year, and I'm already looking forward to my first jack-o'-lantern day. I've ensured my plug-in jack-o'-lantern, previously adorning my dresser, is conveniently stored for easy retrieval, accompanied by a reserve of pumpkin spice wax melts.

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Happy Monday. I have to work today and then am off tomorrow. I wonder if today will feel like a Friday? Thursday sure will because I am off Friday for Veteran's Day, and I will have a three day weekend. I honestly can't remember the last time I was off on Friday.

On the milestone front, we are getting ready to break into the 350's on days to Halloween ,and tomorrow will make it exactly two weeks until we hit 300 DAYS TO HALLOWEEN SEASON. Still moving very slow here in the early days but time is indeed moving.

Have a great day!

While my sister and I were out shopping yesterday Winco still had a pretty good selection of Halloween stuff that was clearanced. And I noticed the other night when I stopped in to our local gas station they had these glow in the dark graveyard hunt eggs. Have never seen these before.

I ventured to my local Target store last night on a mission to snag some Halloween decor clearance items, but my quest yielded no results. On the bright side, I did manage to secure two huge bags of Halloween candy, marked down to a mere $5.99 from their original $19.99 price. As for the store's seasonal section, it's entirely decked out for Christmas, filling me with the holiday spirit, making me even more excited for the upcoming season.

With daylight savings time behind us, the local weather forecast predicts a week of sub-70-degree temperatures, and Thanksgiving is so close that I can almost smell the aroma of stuffing in the air. Mentally, I find myself in a significantly better place than I was just a few days ago.
