I have decided that if I have to take a snow day tomorrow I am going to break out one of my Apple Cider Donuts out of the freezer to enjoy with a hot cocoa.

Good Morning Halloween Friends! It's snowing here again. I think we are only going to get a coating or so before it all turns to rain. It was dry here last year, only finishing up with around 30 inches of rain, we are normally between 35 and 40 each year.
Folks, we are presently chasing two milestones simultaneously and both will arrive within a week of one another, firstly the 250 DAYS TO HALLOWEEN SEASON milestone, which will be here tomorrow, and then the 200 DAYS TO FALL PRESEASON, headed our way this coming Sunday! Seeing that Fall Pre-Season count dip into the 100's is bound to give us some feels.
We're just taking it easy here in early January, lots of the month left but it helps to have so many important dates to look forward to as we plod through this long and dark month.
Have a great day, friends!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! It's milestone Wednesday! Today we celebrate the fact that in 250 Days from today, Halloween Season begins. What is Halloween Season? Halloween season for most people is the "official" beginning of Spooky time, where they are watching Halloween movies on TV often, most stores and shops have Halloween stuff on display. And we have been observing the "official start" to Halloween season in this thread for many years now on the first Monday of the week that Autumn officially begins. Who wants to wait until the end of the week?
Jack O Lantern day #1 is in exactly three weeks from today. And on Sunday, we will celebrate another milestone, that one being 200 DAYS TO FALL PRE-SEASON. Holy cow, we will be starting a new week next week with another count in the 100's. Wow.
Have a great day, friends!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Happy Thursday! Almost the start of the three day weekend now! It's a special weekend because we will again see another milestone, the 200 DAYS TO FALL PRE-SEASON, happening on Sunday!
Folks, there's Valentine's day candy in the stores now, and Easter candy is going up as we speak. You guys remember my "Candy Season" calendar that I posted a while ago, but here's roughly my candy schedule for anybody new:
JANUARY - FEBRUARY - VALENTINE'S DAY CANDY
FEBRUARY - MARCH - EASTER CANDY
JULY - OCTOBER - HALLOWEEN CANDY
NOVEMBER - DECEMBER - CHRISTMAS CANDY
The arrival of Easter candy, even here in the early goings in JANUARY, mean that OUR CANDY SEASON is "UP NEXT". It will still be a long time until late July, but it makes me happy to be moving along in the candy season.
Even as much as I love Christmas, I think Halloween Candy is the best. I have said this for years, but I feel like Halloween has the most unique advertising. Christmas is beautiful, with pictures of wreathes and trees and Santa Claus, but Halloween advertising can make literally EVERYTHING seem creepy and scary / fun. Halloween Pepsis? Got it. Ordinary Potato chips? Now transformed in a black and orange bag. And I love the decorations on the "fun size" candies.
That's my fun topic for today, what do you think of Halloween candy? Is it your favorite? If it is, which one is your favorite? Have a great day!
What are your ideas for the April and May candy season? I am thinking boxed chocolates for Mother's Day.Looking at your list, it got me thinking....
Boy, we need a candy season for April and May. Lol. A break never hurts I guess!
