Good Morning Halloween Friends! Happy Saturday! Today isn't a milestone, but it's a big day nonetheless. We are now just 30 DAYS out from the beginning of Spooky Spring. I think that one has crept up on us, no?
And I'll be back later tonight to post my calendar and film lineup for Spooky Spring. It's going to be rainy off and on tonight and cool, and I think that might be the perfect time to conjure up some Spooky feels as I post my movie calendar. We move into a 50's count TOMORROW on the way to Halfoween, and on Monday we will be only 150 Days from FALL PRE-SEASON.
It's going to be 54 degrees today with light showers on and off. It will feel at times like an October day, and that's exciting. I love seeing the pictures of the upcoming Halloween candy. We should see more and more stuff like that as we approach Summer.

It's going to be rainy off and on tonight and cool, and I think that might be the perfect time to conjure up some Spooky feels as I post my movie calendar. Evening Halloween Fans! I'm back as promised to give my Spooky Spring Calendar! I have 30 days of Halloween Favorites here that I personally enjoy every year. And I also plan on having the background TV time tuned to Pluto TV's outstanding scary / horror channels. Folks, I think this year is about as close as I am going to be able to get to the actual thing as far as it comes to TV and movies. I even threw some "duds" in there that seem to punctuate the season. Spooky Spring is only 30 days away and I am so excited tonight even thinking about it!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Happy Sunday! My Spooky Spring movie schedule is all up and published and now all there is to do is enjoy the Month of Hope, enjoy chasing more milestones, and be ready for Spooky Spring Kickoff here at the end of the month.
Tomorrow we celebrate 150 DAYS TO FALL PRESEASON! Folks - Easter candy is out and all around us now, so everybody knows that once this "candy season" is over, OUR TIME is up next. It is very early March here, but I estimate that we will see the first Fall / Halloween season items hit the stores probably by late July, early August. Target last year had Halloween candy by the end of July, and Halloween merch started arriving mid August. I think Costco had Fall stuff out around August. I can go back through my notes from last year and narrow down the dates. We're still at least 5 months away from that stuff, but it's exciting to daydream sometimes of what it will be like. We all know that "Sweet Spot" for retail when Fall, Halloween, and Christmas decorations are all at a store at the same time! It's like being inside my brain!

Evening Halloween Fans! Had a very laid back weekend which was nice. I am not quite ready for Easter yet. I think this holiday sometimes takes me a little longer to get ready for. But I am sure I'll start feeling it after 60+ degrees today with sunshine. Happy Halloween!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Welcome back to Monday! Nobody likes Mondays that I'm aware of, but at least today is a milestone day so that adds just a little bit of fun to an otherwise mundane day. That's right, we have reached 150 DAYS TO FALL PRESEASON.
Fall Pre-Season is one of those guilty pleasures of mine. It's not really the start of Autumn until another month or so from that point, but August just seems like a good time to start gently introducing everything Autumn as we march through the month. Plus, by then, stores have started putting out their Fall & Halloween merchandise in most cases, starting small with things like candy and small decorations, but by the time we get to the end of the month your big box stores have their giant scarecrows & werewolves out, etc.. I think it was the beginning of August of last year when I took a picture by the giant werewolf in Home Depot.
Our next milestone after today won't be until next Tuesday, when we will begin the "FINAL FIFTY" on our way to HALFOWEEN.

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Welcome back to Monday! Nobody likes Mondays that I'm aware of, but at least today is a milestone day so that adds just a little bit of fun to an otherwise mundane day. That's right, we have reached 150 DAYS TO FALL PRESEASON.
Fall Pre-Season is one of those guilty pleasures of mine. I love, love, LOVE Fall Preseason. Truly, it has almost become like part of the Bers for me. I don't even care that it's still summer then. If it weren't for the threat of hurricanes, it would be a near perfect month. So I'm thrilled that we are only 150 days away now. That means we should hit the 100-day marker before Halfoween gets here, and you know how fast time starts to fly whenever we get to 100 days...

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Happy Tuesday to you! We're under 150 days to go now until Fall Pre-Season and now just one week out from beginning the "Final Fifty" on Halfway to Halloween. It dawned on me making the counts this morning that in 111 more days we are going to have another count move out of the 200's and into the 100's, and that's our "Days to October" count. Next Saturday there will be only ONE more count remaining in the 200's, after originally starting the new thread with FIVE counts in the 200's, I believe. That's kind of spooky on its own.
Today is a day that will feel like October. 61 degrees but off and on light rain showers. It would honestly be the perfect day for JOL Day. If we get any days like this during spooky spring, and I'm sure we will, that just adds icing to the cake.

And on the subject of weekends, is there really anything better than October weekends? I think October weekends might be the best out of the entire year.
Six days away now from the beginning of the "Final Fifty" to Halfway back to Halloween, and our "Days to October" count has now broken into SINGLE DIGITS on the way down to the 200 DAY milestone. I have to tell you, it will be very exciting to see the "Days to October" count in the 100's. And that's coming our way in 10 days.

During this time of year, my mind is on Halloween the most out of the Big 3. I don't know if it's the Spooky Spring effect or if it's because we've spent the most time apart from Halloween since the Bers. Dare I say it almost feels "natural" to think about Halloween and Halloween things during the Spring. I could sit here and crank out Halloween images on the Bing Image Generator for at least half the day.

Good Morning Halloween Friends! It's finally Thursday and the weekend is within sight. I worked myself up yesterday reminiscing about October weekends, but they really are, in my opinion the finest weekends out of the entire year.
You can see this morning we're just five days out from starting the FINAL FIFTY on our Halfway to Halloween countdown. Double Nickels. And we will start up tomorrow with being only one week away from the 200 DAYS TO OCTOBER milestone. Starting on Saturday, there will be only ONE count remaining in the 200's. We started with Five counts that started above 200 days. And in about 48 hours we will be down to just ONE.
It's a little rainy right now, and cool outside. My Thursday Halloween thought is about weather. We get rainy days all throughout the years, but I think that damp smell, cool weather, and overcast days are a staple of Fall / October Days. It's a staple of Halloween themed shows and movies. You never see a movie set during Halloween where all the colors are bright and vibrant. Even in the original run of "Halloween" movies, there's something almost comforting about the different shades of gray skies and muted colors that seem to be symbolic of October. So what do you think? Is it easy to get Feels any time it's rainy and overcast, or do the rainy and overcast days just seem to hit different when we're in Fall / October?
