I really dropped the ball on celebrating the last few days of Spooky Spring and Halfoween. I never got to close them out properly, but that’s okay — I’m seeing so many “Halfway to Halloween” posts right now that it makes my heart happy.

Good Morning Halloween Friends! 2nd day being in May. Halfoween afterglow is very real.

Talking about other things that are "very real" - Holly got out the infant car seat last night and washed all the covers and everything and put it back together. It's going in the back seat of the car this weekend. Yikes! When I go back to work after this three day weekend, I will have only THREE WEEKS until we are at memorial day weekend and that is the week that I have a date with destiny at the hospital.

Our next milestone will be on Sunday when we reach 150 DAYS TO OCTOBER! One of our last "big" counts is slowly being whittled down. I still remember when we had several counts in the 200's!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Today I'm running the 10K in the 98th annual Apple Blossom festival. It will be my "last" race as I approach our upcoming due date. I have trained well, I'm at a good weight, and I should have no excuses this year. If I don't do too bad today, my plan is to take the rest of this month off from training, and then resume back in June to get ready for the 13.1 mile battlefield half marathon, at the "new" Battlefield course we found last year.

You can see from the counts above that tomorrow we have a MAJOR milestone in here, that being that we reach 150 DAYS TO OCTOBER! These counts are really whittling down now. Feels like all of us will be on THE ROAD sooner than later.

My plan for later is to make a Hobby Lobby run, I'm hoping to find fall stuff AND some more Christmas! I actually had a dream last night of looking for Christmas stuff in a store. Have a great day!

Happy Milestone Day, Weekend Halloween Fans!



We have reached the 150 Day Milestone to October! I've said it all along, but our October and Halloween counts started off obviously as our biggest/longest counts, and they are the ones that I have tried to keep out in front of us as long as possible. Because when they start whittling down, there's no going back and then sooner than later we are counting down again.

It was good seeing fall items in Hobby Lobby yesterday. It was good smelling the pumpkin spice again. I'm actually going to have a Pumpkin Spice Latte this morning, Holly is going to make me one before church.

Ironically enough, after having so many milestones last month, there are NO MORE milestones in this particular thread until May 24th, which will be when we reach 100 DAYS TO THE BERS! That is also when we reach Memorial Day weekend and that is obviously my immediate and focused goal - as I leave for the hospital only a few days after that.

We will continue to watch the counts dwindle down in here. Something to ponder - NEXT MONTH, the only triple digit counts we will have left will be "Days to October" and "Days to Halloween". Spooky!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! The horrors of Monday are over and we inch forward towards the weekend again. This Friday will be a special one, not because we have a milestone day, but because it will mark only TWO WEEKS until we reach Memorial Day weekend! Everyone who loves The Bers are looking forward to that weekend because our ROAD will finally be open!

Still have "fairly full" counts on Days to October, and Days to Halloween, but we are keeping them full for now because nobody in this thread wants to see those counts run out yet, that would mean we would have to start over again, and October / Halloween would be far away. We're getting closer now every day. Slow and steady wins the race.

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Hump Day! We can almost see the weekend starting to peek out. Still all these years later I like how it feels on Wednesday afternoon / Wednesday evening when you can sort of "feel" the weekend moving in.

A bit of a silent count here, but we are UNDER 20 days to go until Memorial Day, 19 exactly. From Friday, Memorial Day weekend will be only TWO WEEKS away. I know I said that yesterday, but I think it's important to remind everyone - these next two weeks are kind of like the only "stress free" time in May. Maybe "stress free" is not the best way to describe it. Once THE ROAD opens up, there's no stopping for bathroom breaks or sightseeing. We will see halfway to Thanksgiving shortly before Memorial Day weekend, then in June we obviously have Leon Day, then 4th of July ushering in "Summer's last stand". Everyone knows what follows in August and after.

The big milestone coming up is that 100 DAYS TO THE BERS. Can't believe we will see that count break into double digits while we are still in May. It gets me every year.

Evening Halloween Fans! I hope your week is going well so far. We have some sunshine outside. I haven't seen much sun since Saturday. Saturday turned out nice and warm/humid. And then the rain moved in late and since then we've seen mostly clouds and on and off rain. Happy Halloween!
