I didn’t even realize that tomorrow was Friday the 13th. I can have some spooky fun at work! It might be time to break out the Ambient Mixer again and listen to “The Scarecrow.”

Obviously this morning the big deal is that it's Friday the 13th. Always one of my favorite "extra" days, most Friday the 13ths feel a little bit like an extra Jack O Lantern Day.
But this Friday the 13th has its own "Origin Story". When we learned that we were pregnant late last year, the original due date for our baby was Friday the 13th! We didn't yet know the gender, but we both agreed that if he was a boy, we would name him Jason. That is NOT because his original birthday would have been on Friday the 13th. It's because when we got pregnant with our first child (Abigale), we had a due date of October 30th. We tried to come up with both girl and boy names. Jason was at the top of that list. So when we found out earlier this year that we were having a boy, it was a no-brainer what his name would be!
As the rains move in today, I'm going to settle into watching some Friday the 13th later. Tomorrow we reach another milestone - 100 DAYS TO HALLOWEEN SEASON!
Have a great day!
If you visit Michael’s today, you can see Halloween decorations RIGHT NOW:

And those two counts won't be above 100 for much longer. It feels so good to be on the road again. We only have two counts left now that are above 100 Days!
Saw this on Reddit and thought I'd put it here since it supports your observation... "...most big box stores ordered their Christmas/ holiday stuff and early spring 2026 stuff and had it shipped sooner than normal to get ahead of the tariffs. Since all that stuff is overfilling their warehouses, they are pushing out fall and Halloween earlier than usual to make room."We did get to go to Michael's yesterday. Abby really likes making bracelets now, so we went to get more supplies. One of the earliest CODE ORANGES I have ever saw in my life. I remember last year at Jo-Ann Fabrics (RIP) that they started putting out Halloween over Memorial Day weekend. No matter how early it comes, THE FEELS are just as strong!
