Happy Thursday, Halloween Folks! We finally hit major milestone day today:

50 days to Fall Preseason.jpg

50 Days to Fall Preseason, Folks. We made it. That's basically a month and a half from now. And we're on the eve of Friday the 13th, which is always like an "extra" Jack O Lantern Day.

We hit the halfway point of June this weekend! But before we can do that we will hit 100 DAYS TO HALLOWEEN SEASON on Saturday! After that just TWO countdowns still above 100 days. Some of them are starting to look skinny!

Have a great day, friends!

Evening Halloween Fans! I hope your day is going well. We have sunshine today. It's a nice day with temperatures reaching into the 80s. I'll take it. Sometimes the weather in June can be nice. It can get hot but sometimes not hot & humid as much as the other summer months. Happy Halloween!

I didn’t even realize that tomorrow was Friday the 13th. I can have some spooky fun at work! It might be time to break out the Ambient Mixer again and listen to “The Scarecrow.”

One of my favorite tracks on there!

FRIDAY THE 13TH.jpg

Obviously this morning the big deal is that it's Friday the 13th. Always one of my favorite "extra" days, most Friday the 13ths feel a little bit like an extra Jack O Lantern Day.

But this Friday the 13th has its own "Origin Story". When we learned that we were pregnant late last year, the original due date for our baby was Friday the 13th! We didn't yet know the gender, but we both agreed that if he was a boy, we would name him Jason. That is NOT because his original birthday would have been on Friday the 13th. It's because when we got pregnant with our first child (Abigale), we had a due date of October 30th. We tried to come up with both girl and boy names. Jason was at the top of that list. So when we found out earlier this year that we were having a boy, it was a no-brainer what his name would be!

As the rains move in today, I'm going to settle into watching some Friday the 13th later. Tomorrow we reach another milestone - 100 DAYS TO HALLOWEEN SEASON!

Have a great day!

Happy Saturday Pumpkin People and Halloween Friends! It's a milestone day again!

100 Days to Halloween Season.png

We've reached 100 Days to Halloween Season / Spooky Season, whatever tickles your fancy. Starting tomorrow there will be only TWO counts left in the 100's. That's just wild.

Is there such a thing as Friday the 13th "afterglow"? Yesterday Holly got for me the digital copies of the first 8 Friday the 13th movies for $13.00. Up until this point, I've had to break out the old DVD's of them. I watched parts 2 and 3 yesterday as they were on regular TV. I might "sneak" one more tonight, it will be nice to have them on demand.

The midway point of the month is TOMORROW! June might be flying by. And the sweatfest here is "tamed" for the next week as the rains keep the temps in the low 70's. Low 70's and cool rain makes me think of Autumn!

Have a great day, friends!

Evening Halloween Fans! I hope your weekend started off good. It's been a good day here. Food shopping, laundry, running, and visiting my friend. Now home for dinner and to relax. Pretty good Saturday. Happy Halloween!

If you visit Michael’s today, you can see Halloween decorations RIGHT NOW:

We did get to go to Michael's yesterday. Abby really likes making bracelets now, so we went to get more supplies. One of the earliest CODE ORANGES I have ever saw in my life. I remember last year at Jo-Ann Fabrics (RIP) that they started putting out Halloween over Memorial Day weekend. No matter how early it comes, THE FEELS are just as strong!

Happy Sunday, Halloween Friends! We only have two counts left now that are above 100 Days! And the outstanding, world-renowned 50 DAY PREVIEW OF THE BERS is now only 28 days away. I'm telling you those last 50 days are going to go like greased lighting. I just can't wait.

The SweatFest has been pushed out for another week because of the low temperatures and off and on rain. I'll take it. But it looks like it comes back on Saturday. After that we have 90's as far as the eye can see. That puts us at having a little less than 4 weeks after that until we hit the peak hottest temps for our region. We've been fortunate that so much of May was cool and even most of June so far. Normally by now we've been cranked for weeks.

Have a great day friends, maybe you experience some CODE ORANGES or other Halloween-October related experiences!

Saw this on Reddit and thought I'd put it here since it supports your observation... "...most big box stores ordered their Christmas/ holiday stuff and early spring 2026 stuff and had it shipped sooner than normal to get ahead of the tariffs. Since all that stuff is overfilling their warehouses, they are pushing out fall and Halloween earlier than usual to make room."

Works for me.

Evening Halloween Fans! I hope you are enjoying your day. We have a cloudy day here. That's just how the weekends have been for the most part. Kind of cool today too but if anyone is complaining today I suggest you look at the long-range forecast. It's going to get hot! Happy Halloween!
