Halloween 2025 Countdown!

DAYS TO HALLOWEEN: 15

Good Morning Pumpkin People! Look at that countdown above! Just a hair away from TWO WEEKS to HALLOWEEN!

Cold weather is returning overnight tonight, and it might frost at around 5-6 am! I think I might end up having to turn on the pellet stove at about midnight tonight, just to be sure.

Gonna get home and enjoy some more Halloween Grazing!

The count don't lie, and he tells us this morning that there are only TWO weeks left to Halloween!

We turned the pellet stove on last night around midnight, as it's 39 degrees outside right now. It's always nostalgic to me to see the glow in the living room from the stove. Our Christmas Tree comes out of storage next week on the 25th, and I'm already excited to think of seeing the glow from the stove and the warm lights from the Christmas Tree!

But we don't want to look past Halloween! Fall and Halloween is the reason for this thread! So I hope everyone has a great Friday! Ah Ah Ah!
 
Hello Halloween Fans! I hope you are all doing well. It's a beautiful sunny day here. It's a bit on the cool side but still nice really. It feels like Autumn, and it should because it is Autumn. Obviously. Sorry for stating the obvious. Happy Halloween!

Does October have a handbrake?

48 degrees outside right now and getting up to 76 degrees. Could this be our "last" hot day this fall before we stay cool / cold "for good" ? Stay tuned!

Tomorrow is going to be Fall weather here and I am thinking that means I should go to my closest pumpkin patch and buy some more pumpkins today. My own harvest only produced 4 pumpkins, but I will try again next year!
 
Hello Halloween Fans!

A little warmer today, but quite breezy. Tomorrow some rain is coming through and will bring the temperature down to normal and below. Later this coming week we are expecting a low near freezing!

My wife and I are going to a Halloween Party tonight; should be a lot of fun. Then next Saturday we are hosting our Halloween Party.

I have only been able to harvest two--very small ones; but I have a big one about half-orange and three of four small ones that are almost there.
 
Hello Halloween Fans! I am primed for tomorrow. It is our 3rd annual Headless Horseman event upstate. It's an hour and 20 minute drive. And it's worth it. We will go to dinner at the same place we stopped at the last 2 years. The fun newer traditions. Happy Halloween!
 
DAYS TO HALLOWEEN: 12

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Yesterday was a beautiful day and i was able to get all my mowing done. I almost forgot how tiring it was to trim and mow the entire place in one day. Over the worst/hottest part of the summer, I would do one yard each night (Behind Pole Barn, Backyard, Front Yard) that way it wasn't so tiring. Holy cow.

No plans today other than going to haul some more wood pellets, and then later this afternoon, a combined birthday party for Abby and my nephew. Hopefully we get all that done before the rains arrive this evening.

We will see SINGLE DIGITS to HALLOWEEN on this coming Wednesday!!

Good morning Halloween Fans!

Last night's party was a lot of fun. They had lots of cool decorations and a scavenger hunt, finding specific items among the decorations. It was a neat way to encourage guests to look at everything.

Lots of rain and wind today, but that is bringing in the nice cooler temperatures. It looks like we are going to be staying in the 60s for the next couple of weeks at least, with a few days in the 50s.

This week we will be getting everything ready for our Halloween Party on Saturday. Lots to do! The bad thing about coaching football is my Fall is super busy! Leaves very little time for all of the Halloween and Fall things I want to do.
 
Hello Halloween Fans! I hope you are doing well. The Sunday Group is ready for our 3rd annual trip to the Headless Horseman. We are eating at the same place we ate at the last 2 years (which is 5 minutes from the event). It's a long ride an hour and 20 minutes. Happy Halloween!

I bet the big one will be perfect just in time for Halloween! Planting my pumpkins with petunias helped repel the squash bugs but I didn't have a very good season of blossoms. There is always next year! LOL!
 
DAYS TO HALLOWEEN: 11

Good Morning Halloween Friends! A new week is here and we start our crawl back towards another October weekend, the penultimate one of October. It just blows my mind that Halloween is next Friday.

I think at some time over the weekend I might start putting together a rough outline of the 2026 Thread in notepad, so when Halloween night winds down, I can go ahead and post and get us up and running without delay. I hate to even mention it on here in "current" Halloween time, but it's been on my mind more and more as we get closer to OUR DAY.
