Hello Halloween Fans! I hope you are doing well. It's a cold day out there with the wind but at least the sun is out. It helps some with the sun angle rising slowly each day. It's been beyond nuts at work. I'm taking a 4-day break starting tomorrow. Happy Halloween!

This picture above was one of the very first things I ever made with Google Gemini. I think it was pretty cool. Made me think of a DVD cover. I decided to save that picture for when we had Friday the 13ths in this thread. I like making them for the dates too, so I came up with this one this morning. Jason in the winter? Not sure in any of the movies he is ever in snow or ice:



We're going to wake up tomorrow with our "Bers" count down in the 100's, and it's going to be only TWO WEEKS until Jack O Lantern Day #2. What a way to start a 3 day weekend!

Very nice remix! And Camp Crystal Lake looks just as creepy covered in snow and ice as it does as sunset. I would not want to encounter Jason in either environment.

The second picture reminds me of the Silent Hill remake that I never got to play. Maybe they'll re-release it one day for modern consoles:

Hello Halloween Fans! It's a big day. Personally, this is my first 4-day break or longer since Christmas. Overall, today is 200 days till The Bers. It's also 150 days till the Preview. And I got all my test results back from my doctor and everything came back really great. Happy Halloween!

This was a strange one, I never got to play it, and after hearing my brother describe it, I'm not sure that I want to. I don't like the idea of no combat. I liked in the original Silent Hill, Harry was woefully underpowered deliberately because he was not trained with weapons, which made every enemy encounter terrifying.

The OG Silent Hill is getting a full remake though, officially, and I can honestly say I have waited half of my life for it ever since consoles really made the jump graphic and performance wise in the late 2000's to now.

It's Day #1 of my 3 day weekend. I realized yesterday that now that we are in 100 day territory to The Bers, really the only things I have left to focus on here at this mid to late point in winter, is focusing on the arrival of THE MONTH OF HOPE, and of course our eventual return to SPOOKY SPRING.

THE MONTH OF HOPE lies just 15 days away.

Good Morning Halloween Friends! It's Day #2 of the 3 day weekend.

We're expecting some rain today and it's my hope that it will finally melt the remainder of the snow so our grounds can dry out and hopefully by the end of this month I can start seeding / fertilizing.

I miss Halloween. I miss Spooky season, and I definitely miss The Bers. It dawned on me a few days ago, as I felt it sort of "gnawing" at me. This usually happens to me every year around this time, so I'm not surprised. Maybe some could say it's a little bit of winter doldrums "finally" settling in.

But we are in a good place. Less than two weeks till JOL Day #2 and basically "Month of Hope Eve". And our Bers count is FINALLY down in the 100's. It's all coming, we just have to enjoy the ride from now until then.

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Happy Monday! Day #3 of my 3 day weekend. Today is going to be another day that is over 50 degrees. Almost all of the snow is gone here now, finally, and mercifully. The snow held on just over three weeks which is incredible for these parts, and one of the only times I've saw that in my life.

And with Valentine's Day over, and currently beginning a day off because of President's Day, my focus is now going to turn to our Special Days to round out the month, and of course enter us into THE MONTH OF HOPE. And that's just 13 days from now. Less than two weeks.

We look at our counts above and can see now that in just one week from today, we are going to reach 250 DAYS TO HALLOWEEN. I've mentioned that before, but that count, and the "days to October" count, are the only ones that make me slightly uncomfortable to see melt away. Because when we get to those, we are in peak Halloween season and to be honest, even as much as I love Christmas (and always will), I wish I could stay in October 24/7. But the reality is ALL of the holiday season I think at times goes too fast. So I won't rush those two.

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Happy Tuesday! This week is probably going to feel strange because I was off work yesterday.

Folks, we move forward today and throughout this week towards the penultimate weekend of February. And the MONTH OF HOPE lies just 12 days from now, not even two weeks. That's a big deal and I know most of us are wishing for Spring.

Last night while slipping through the channels, Friday the 13th, part 6 was on TV. I "cheated" and watched a few minutes of it. I have always felt like the movies made me think of late Summer / early Fall, but last night you could see the characters' breath, and when Jason walked in through one of the cabin doors, the wind blew some fall leaves on the floor, and you could see that there was a fire going in the fireplace. Kind of felt cool to see that on screen and sort of get the "feels" for a few minutes again. I'm definitely including the F13 movies in my film lineup for Spooky Spring. I don't believe I did last year.

And one of my projects from now until then will be to figure out just how many of the F13 might have taken place during a fall time of year, unless those were just production errors that never removed the vapor from people breathing. But I don't think so because they deliberately showed the autumn leaves and the fire in the fire place. I'm for sure probably over thinking it.

Our next major milestone in this thread will be the arrival of the 250 DAYS TO HALLOWEEN milestone, a mere 6 days ahead! Have a great day!

I'm so glad you posted this! FOLKS - With the arrival of Easter candy now in the stores, we are at our FINAL CANDY SEASON, before Halloween candy returns.

Most years reliably I can see Halloween candy in CVS at the very end of July / early August! So sitting here this morning realizing that we are 6 months, give or take from seeing Halloween candy is incredible!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! We are now at the mid-week of the penultimate week of February. I love using the word penultimate. Makes it sound important, and serious. And i think where we are right now meets both of those definitions. Here before long we will be starting our final approach to "The Month of Hope". We'll have some obstacles to overcome before we get there, like the threat of a 7 inch snow storm again this weekend, but like our great friend Edge would point out, sort of what happens now isn't as "bad" because we know the silver lining is exiting winter here in a few more weeks. And that puts everything into perspective.

Good counts this morning, getting ready to hit single digits to JOL Day #2 and Month of Hope Eve. On Saturday we will hit the 30's on our way to Spooky Spring, and today it's double nickels (255) to Halloween 2026.
