Yep, looks like we'll get one last winter blast over the weekend, as temperatures here will briefly sink back down to the 30s before rebounding rather quickly next Wednesday. Hopefully that will be the "final gasp" of winter before the Month of Hope ushers in spring. Then Spooky Season is just a stone's throw away.

Well, with Valentine's Day out of the way now, you'd think Easter would be the focus, but Easter candy has been out on shelves almost as long as Valentine's candy. So that means it's time for...Halloween candy?

Here's our first look at some new Halloween candy for 2026:

Just seeing that gives me the feels.

Hello Halloween Fans! I hope you are well in the middle of this week. It's a cloudy day here with on and off light rain. But it's not going to melt much of this snow. We need a big warm-up or a real rainstorm. I'm having lunch now. Happy Halloween!

Mercifully all of our snow is finally gone. And my yards are no longer squishy anymore. The first day the back yard had no snow, it was really squishy and little puddles were everywhere because the ground was still frozen underneath. I thought the back yard looked like a swamp. But two days later and now the grass is standing back up and looks a lot better. They've backed off the snow for this weekend too. I'm not disappointed. I want to go into the month of hope with this nice mild weather. A snowstorm this late in the winter I don't think would even be fun, I think all of us want Spring.

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Happy Mini Friday! We're finally toward the end of the week. Thank Goodness. I'm getting the jitters thinking that next week were are going to have the run of MMC Special Days that lead us right into The Month of Hope. I've long stated that I think the first batch of special days in January might be the most "special", maybe from an emotional standpoint, but at least for this year I think the February ones have a strong claim, especially since we have been through a brutal winter.

I'm happy to see single days now to JOL Day #2. Jack O Lantern Day #2 this year, and really every year, is Month of Hope Eve. Moving right along, we are going to enter into the 30's towards Spooky Spring on Saturday.

And next week on Monday, we are going to hit 250 DAYS TO HALLOWEEN, which is obviously the farthest count we have in this thread and the one count I want to try and keep out in the front as far as possible.

I hope everyone has a great Thursday!

Hello Halloween Fans! I've learned over the years what eats up snow is fog. We had some last night. Got rid of some of it but plenty out there. Just keep that weekend storm they were talking about far out to sea. We need progress. Happy Halloween!
