Definitely not as time intensive as painting but I got my furnace and a/c replaced, added a whole house humidifier and an air purifier and then got a "free" duct cleaning and there are a lot of spaces that need to be swept, mopped, and put back together. It is making me feel motivated to dive into Spring Cleaning. I think I am going to focus on that and Easter through April 6th and then I am going to be ready to focus on Spooky Spring, especially on the weekends. I want to bake something special every Saturday in April, pumpkin bread is definitely on the list, and maybe a pumpkin roll, even though I know it will crack, and some homemade caramel corn? What are some of your favorite Halloween worthy baked goods?DAYS TO JOL DAY: 16

Happy Sunday Morning Halloween Friends!
Look it's milestone eve AGAIN. I love how it feels like we are constantly hitting milestones here in mid March. Tomorrow we are indeed going to hit 200 DAYS TO OCTOBER. That is really wild to me even still, and will be even wilder on Tuesday morning when we see that our only remaining count still in the 200's (!!!) is going to be DAYS TO HALLOWEEN.
I have said it many times but the Days to October count, and the "Days to Halloween Count" I want to keep out ahead of us as long as possible. Nobody including myself wants to get to October too fast. Because in order to get to October we have had to already go through September, and I think most of us agree that September really feels like the ultimate "Sweet Spot" of the entire year.
Confession time, folks - we have been busy with painting and fixing up / cleaning up our house, and I haven't done much planning for Spooky Spring. I absolutely am not going to let this get away from me. I'm hoping to kick off my own Spooky Spring kickoff weekend beginning 3/28-3/29, which I will talk about more in the coming days. I am going to use the next week, specifically my evenings when the kids go to sleep to hammer out my film schedule and other activities I want to try and do here for Spooky Spring 2026.
I hope everyone has a great Sunday!
Love it!View attachment 180009
Saw this action figure on sale at Amazon this morning. I couldn't think of a better place to post it.

I'm a simpleton. The only thing I like are the cookies that look like witch hats - a peanut butter cookie, with the hershey kiss on top to make the peak of the witches hat. Icing around the base to make the band / buckle!
Both excellent suggestions!Pumpkin bread is one of my all-time favorite things. Not just for Halloween, but for the entire Fall.
And even though they aren’t baked, for some reason I tend to gravitate towards Rice Krispies Treats during that time of year as well.

I had the day off due to blizzard conditions and I am so grateful I was able to stay in and off the road. The winds are supposed to decrease overnight but the temps are supposed to too, down into the single digits. It will be back in the high 50s by Thursday, 60s on Friday, and a chance of 70 on Saturday. I am hoping to see some green in my grass soon!DAYS TO JOL DAY: 15

Good Morning Halloween Friends!
It is indeed Milestone Monday, friends! Today marks exactly 200 DAYS TO OCTOBER 1st!
This is a count that I have been kind of apprehensive about for the past couple of weeks, it still seems wild to me here in mid-March now that beginning tomorrow, there will be only ONE count remaining in the 200's.
Wild weather today, all schools are closed and county governments. Supposed to be Tornados, but everything looks to be well east of us, all we may get is the thunderstorms.
I hope everyone stays safe out there! Happy Milestone Monday!
EDIT: I have been trying to post this since 7:30 this morning. I'm having off and on internet problems here.

ha! I also have a stash building up. I'll have to post a pic. I'm saving mine for Halfoween week, I think. It's been tough hanging onto my Not So Scary Mickey Coffee.Well, it took a lot of willpower, but I will make it to April with an abundance of Fall/Halloween treats. I have 3 bags of Milano Pumpkin Spice cookies, 85% of a bag of assorted chocolate Jack O'Lanterns, and a large handful of candy corn. I am going to enjoy Spooky Spring very much!!!
