Based on weather data from 1961–1990, in most parts of Texas there is a 0% chance there will be at least one inch of snow on the ground on December 25. :-? Two exceptions: a 3% chance in Abilene, in central Texas, and a 7% chance in Amarillo, up north in the Texas panhandle.

But when it snows, it snows. Blizzard aftermath in Amarillo, March 27, 2009:

That's the part of Texas I wished we lived in!

Hello & welcome

I guess the missus & I are not the only couple on mmc anymore:rudolph:

Very cool

Thank you all so much for all the welcome messages. As far as snow in Texas, right after I moved here from Maryland, we had a snow that we got about 3 inches on Valentines weekend, that was alot for this area. My last big snow was the Presidents day snow when I was still in Maryland. It was a noreaster, I don't remember how much we got, but it was over 3 feet.:snowball:

This is my very first post in this forums. My wife (Christmas-a-Holic) told me about this site, and encouraged me to join, so here I am. I can't wait to get to know some of you, and join in on some of the discissions about everything Christmas.:tree:
That's what I like to see, the whole family joining in the fun! Welcome
