Hi, Idol fans. Well, I had good intentions, but got too busy to be come here often. I've been disappointed in Idol this year. I guess my favorites are Adam and the little red-headed rocker girl. lol. Can't believe myself sometimes. I hate rock music. But this girl is so talented. And Adam too, although he makes me nervous. Never know what to expect from him.
I spent the whole season up to last week trying to decide if I liked Megan's strange voice. Sometimes I did. Sometimes it grated against my nerves. Last week was bad. But to each his own.
Hope everyone is having a nice spring. It's been cold and rainy here mostly. :tree:

snowberry (who thanks Jesus for music)

I have not watched Idol in several weeks...and I will probably only stop in to check up on what's going on. I'm not crazy at all about the singers this year.:-?

Holy Christ... how many more ways can they think of to f**k this show up?
I'm not talking about the talent... I don't think they kids this year are any better of worse than kids from other seasons.
Why do they insist on continuing to try and fix something that wasn't broke in the first place?
When did American Idol become the Ryan Seacrest show as opposed to the Simon Cowell show?
They eliminate Simon's critiques on half the kids and they still run over because of Seacrest's lame camera-whoring!
Doesn't everyone tune into Idol to see what Simon has to say?
Yes, they made a huge mistake by bringing in the other female judge... but you try to fix it by limiting Simon's camera time?
I swear there were a couple points last night where it looked like he was going to up and walk-off the show... he really should have.
I wonder if they are going to be able to put this back together and salvage it before next season comes around... I hope so.

Anyway... here's some off my thoughts on last night's show...

The red haired girl should have sang 'The Rose'... I hate that Aerosmith song.
Lil will never live up to the hype I had for her.
I like that kid Kris, but he'll never win.
Danny reminds me too much of Taylor Hicks... and that's not good.
I didn't like Adam's take on 'Born To Be Wild' at all... it was nothing but noise and shrieking. Every week I argue with my wife... she keeps trying to tell me that I am against Adam due to his sexual orientation. Then I have to argue that has nothing to do with it by reminding her that I spent $400 to go see Rob Halford and Judas Priest last summer, so I have no problem supporting a gay performer... if they are good... Adam just isn't that good. Then that $400 tab gets me into a whole lot of trouble all over again... LOL! Just because someone has a loud falsetto doesn't mean they are a great singer.

Weeeeellllllllll, I have to confess...I've gone to condensed viewing of Idol, partly due to my schedule but mostly due to my lack of interest. I agree of most of what you're saying Mr. Walker....it's all just so...tedious.

Plus the talent level this year, for my money, is not very compelling. Adam seems to be the odds on favorite and for the life of me I cannot figure out why.

I love watching American Idol but it's not been a great year for me, thus far. I didn't like the way Idol started ...the way they came up with the Top 12....er Top 13. I think there were some talented singers who were overlooked. I'm glad Lil is gone. I really liked her at the beginning, too. I just don't think she made the right song choices. I liked Scott, too. I never saw his last performance. My MIL passed away that week....nothing else just seemed all that important. I think of those left, Kris is my favorite. He continues to surprise me and his song choices are fantastic. I also think Allison is one talented young lady. We're down to 5 now so we'll see what goes on.

What she said!

songs of the rat pack tonight. This should be interesting.

Simon was playing head games with the voters last night.
Motivating people to vote for Allison while claiming that Matt had nothing to worry about.
Sneaky bastard! LOL!

I agree simon wants matt to go home next. I thought they all did a pretty good job last night.

HA HA HA HA HA HA!

Exactly what i said would happen when they introduced the save.
They saved the guy the audience voted off & the audience voted him back off.
The only way this would have been funnier is if he had been kicked off the week right after he was saved.

The save is useless. They introduced it because of someone like Daughtry who should have won.

The problem is Daughtry didnt NEED the win. He did fantastic on his own.

If someone has the talent, it doesnt matter if they get voted off

The win doesnt always matter. Right Taylor? Right Ruben?

Well I figured matt would go home. Was amazed that adam was in the bottom three even though he's not one of my favorites.

I think everyone was shocked that Adam was in the bottom 3. I'm conflicted at this point. I really like Allison's voice, but Adam and Danny are good too. Danny? Is that right? I'm getting confused with the names. Chris is okay, but I like the others better.

I thought they were okay last night but no one was great. I don't know who is going home tonight just hope it isn't danny.

Adam butchered that U2 song. I'm sure the kids love him, but I don't see him having a successful career after Idol. I bet he becomes a Vegas show singer or something in Caberet.

I think he'll release one or two cds tops, they won't do well, and the record company will release him from his deal. Think Taylor Hicks. On the flip side, I bet at some point Danny Gokey takes a Mandisa route and gets into gospel music, which would be fine with me.

Would be interesting if Lambert went home... I don't think it will happen, but Simon addressed the possibility. If the voters take the angle that they want to choose between Danny & Kris as #2 to Adam's #1... Adam may wind up on the short end of the stick... would make for good TV.

Well I personally don't care for adam and wish he would go home. I think danny and Kris will have better careers than him. That being said the predection site has danny going home but kris is right there with him.

Oh it is still Danny all the way! If this link still works, http://www.fox6now.com/news/witi-090507-danny-gokey-lost-tapes,0,2388243.story (it works for me), it's from the local Fox station in Milwaukee. In 2006 they did a human interest thing at Christmas time, this is him singing O Holy Night. I can't wait to see the footage of his trip back to Milwaukee tonight, I grew up near there.

Personally, I hope Adam gets voted off, he screaches more than he sings. But really, at this point, all 3 of them are going to have good careers now, if they so choose. We'll see what happens tonight.

Enjoy O Holy Night! And you can hear him sing the National Anthem at the Brewers Game too!
