I agree with you Jeff 100%!
Kanye was HORRIBLE. Not that I really enjoy that kind of music anyway ... but it just was not good. I was imagining the kinds of things that Simon would be saying, if the judges had to critique him after his performance, lol.
Kelly did awful. I do like her, but I really really really don't like that song and I don't think she performed well at all either. Buuut that's just me.
And what's with that new rule??? The judges can save someone if America votes them off? I didn't catch how that was going to work?? can someone explain?? :?

If I understood it correctly on the radio this morning the judges get 1 save the entire show up to the final 5. Then nobody can be saved. So basically after the 2 lowest or 3 lowest, whichever it is, are picked then you know that 1 always gets the vote to head home. I guess after they are told that they are going home they have to sing their song one last time and then go before the judges who will then tell them if they are going to save them or not. If they save them then that's it. Noone goes home that week and then next week 2 people will go home, I guess. At first I thought that each person could be saved once but, then they said that it was 1 save for all three judges. They can only save someone, anyone, once. After that it goes back to America decides. I think that's what it is. That's what I understood it to be from the radio this morning.

I'm not crazy about the new rule! I think 2 of the 3 correct people went home last night. If it had been 3 to go, I think Anoop may have gone, too. So far, I'm not overly impressed.

From the blogs I read that Kanye's performance wasn't even in front of a live audience -- it was taped.

As for the new rule here's my prediction: they will use it on Meagan when she gets voted out around #7 or so.

Well, last night's Grand Ole Opry night sure separated the men from the boys. I'm not sure what that makes Adam Lambert other than what he is: a talentless freak who should be sent packing ASAP. Bad night for Lil, too.

Kris Allen is really surprising. And I actually liked Anoop for a change.

I'm hoping for a shocker but doubt if we'll get it. I think it may be time for Michael Sarver to get the boot.

I read this morning that with the slipping ratings the producers have already determined the top 4... could be BS, but out of respect for those who watch the show I won't post what I read but you don't have to be a rocket scientist to figure it out.

Well, so much for that theory...I saw that bit of news about the pre-selection of the top four but the article I saw had Alexis as part of that group...and now she's gone. A mild surprise.

Her problem, this year, is that she's female. The voters out there are obviously slanting the votes towards Adam, Kris and maybe Danny. Talent, in the end, doesn't have that much to do with it.

Either the story was BS or the producers went into damage control.
Hopefully they swapped out Alexis for Megan in the final four.
I'd tune in to see her each week.

I can't stand to watch Megan sing. For me it's not so much that she can't sing, it's more that she can't sing a song without doing that "shimmy" thing. OH it drives me nuts.

Well, I didn't get on here in a timely manner, as usual, but I'm still putting in my $0.02.

First, I think Adam should burn in a ring of fire, for what he did to "Ring of Fire". I'm sure Johnny Cash is still spinning in his grave. I didn't think it would put him out, overall he's still got talent.

I was surprised to see Allison in the bottom 3, I really like her, and hope she sticks around for a while. Michael and Alexis didn't surprise me, they both had weaker performances.

But, good ol' Danny is still in it. He's been my favorite since the auditions and I'm not about to change my mind now.

Adam's version of "Ring of Fire" was terrible, not that I'm a fan of that song or Johnny Cash but it was painful to hear.

Alexis departure made me sad for I think she had more to show of her talent but we will never know now. She did make a bad song choice and I think that is why the judges did not want to save her. Anoop did make the right song choice but I do wish they would thin out his eyebrows.

I really don't have a favorite now that Alexis is gone but I do really like Lil Rounds, she's a classy lady with talent. So I guess I will start voting for Lil and she will become my favorite.

Didn't anyone watch this week? I was surprised to see no comments. Well, I'll give my $.02 worth then.

I wasn't surprised to see Michael go, even though I do like him. I was surprised to see Matt in the bottom 3 though, I thought he was really good Wed night. I think Scott is going to go soon, he's just not living up to the others.

We'll see what next week brings.

Tonights was one of the worst ever
2 good points Megan is gone & cook showed them how to perform

Everything else was awful.

BLATANT lip synching in the opening segment which got NO reaction from the audience. (they couldnt put Randy up there for a Journey song?)

Stupid car commercial.

And I'm not quite sure what that second performance was other than GOD AWFUL!!

LOL, it's funny how we all like different types of performers. I never was a fan of David Cook but I guess some do like his style.
I'm also glad Megan's gone.
When it comes down to it the young voters will vote on looks, popularity and maybe a little talent.
There are a couple that I consider good performers, Adam (but I don't always like his song choice) and the 16 yr. old red headed girl, she can sing and perform. I think it would be interesting to see her and Adam in a duet performance.
