I saw that...The guy is so...so...age approapriate...If I were him I'd be doing the same thing...I bet her phone is ringing off the hook at the moment...

"Hi Kristy? This is Tom Cruise...Katy and I are splitting shortly and I was wondering if you'd consider being my new wifebot? All you need to do is act like you love me while I jump on Oprah's couch and then turn your will and your life over to the care of L. Ron Hubbard and we're all set! Whadya say?"

I don't believe we've seen the last of Kristy...she is a beautiful/model type gal and seems to be very sweet. I was bummed because she was my overall choice.
Who do you think the next boot will be? I think it could be Brooke...I think a guy will be the next AI.

I was watching while doing laundry and cleaning, so I really didn't get a chance to do any "reviews". All I have to say is DAVID COOK IS AWESOME!!!

When I heard they were going to do an Andrew Lloyd Webber night I thought it would be an epic disaster. Of course, I was thinking that would be with about 10 or 12 singers. So to see it done with just six made it somewhat more hopeful.

Oddly, for the first time in a long time (since Tony Bennett a season or two ago), I was impressed that they had a mentor who was actually mentoring. And I think it helped with a lot of these performances.

We did see a separation of the men from the boys, so to speak tonight:

Syesha (One Rock N Roll Too Many) -- Totally her: showy, flashy, full of herself, etc. Tailor made. She could easily and will easily play on Broadway or in some big screen musical. I don't think this chick can sell CDs though. Should be safe this week.

Jason (Memories) -- I have detested this song since I had to endure endless playing of the version by Barbra Streisand (who I detest singing anything) during a road trip more than 20 years ago. But to see the dreadlock boy completely butcher it on national TV, in my mind, seals his fate. He is gone either this week or next. Jar-Jar lacks depth, talent and maturity and has consistently proven it.

Brooke (You Must Love Me) -- Too big a song for her. She was on the verge of losing it about 50 times between the performance and the judges review and it hurt to watch her in such pain. She knew she didn't have the pipes or the talent for this night. She might have punched her ticket home tonight.

David A (Think of Me) -- I'll be darned, he turned a musical into a listenable track. I really thought he'd pick something more recognizable and capitalize on it. But once again he went with something lesser known but this time I think it worked for him. Safe again.

Carly (Jesus Christ Superstar) -- She'll be the last standing female. Perfect song for her and one she nailed. Best part of all? The bit with the t-shirt saying Simon Loved Me (This Week). She safe for now and likely should be, but she won't last until the end. Not broad enough appeal for her.

David C (Music of the Night) -- He played it entirely straight, I thought he'd rock it up. And he was good at it, totally believable and all at once surprising. While it wasn't my favorite from him it did showcase his obvious talent. Still the guy to beat, he's got the talent, the appeal and the votes.

I still say this comes down to D & D but after tonight my wife says Carly will be in it to the end. I'm not buying that. I think the girls are going down one by one with only an interruption by the demise of Jar-Jar.

Who is her core voter? Clearly Jar Jar and David A have the teeny bopper vote. David C has the majority/cross demographic vote (heavily supported by women). Syesha has the South Florida vote, which everyone clearly knows is always suspect. Brooke has whatever sympathy votes are left over. Who is voting for Carly? The Hells Angels vote? The Irish Vote? The "I Miss Heart" vote? Who is voting for her and why? She can sing but we all know this isn't totally about singing.
