My mom used to try to get me to eat mince meat pie. Blech.

I love apple, peach, pecan, sweet potato, pumpkin, chocolate cream, banana cream but my two favorites are.....

Cherry and Blueberry

Rheubarb....BLECH

i have never been offered a piece of rhubarb pie. i would certainly have a bite, at the very least!!!!

I've had mincemeat and it's not as bad as it looks. Rhubarb will turn your head inside out if not sweetened properly. Someone mentioned grape pie, which I have never heard of but can't imagine why not. It seems perfectly normal yet rare. I guess the recipe goes something like this:
1. Buy premade crust & can of grape jelly.
2. Eat em

lol!

I was in the UK last week and I had steak and ale pie for the first time!

Where in the UK were you? I lived in Scotland twice, from 1981 to 1985 and again from 1992 to 1993.

I was in Swindon for 10 days. Then on my last day I had some free time, so I headed over to Bath and Bristol.

My favorite pies there were steak and kidney pie, mince pie (not mincemeat), shepherds pie and free pie. Also fond of any dish that ended with "and chips." Loved the salt & vinegar crisps, game soup, and licorise all-sorts.
