THANK YOU to all who took the time and effort to send me a card all the way over here in England! I truly appreciate it!!! Each of them has added sparkle to my days and they are all up in the family room shared with everyone.

I learned something this year and I wish I had known it before. The USPS has "global" forever stamps that lets you mail a standard Christmas card. They are $1.20 each. I usually do my stateside cards as a group and stamp them and drop them off in the box, pretty fast and easily.

But I always go in to mail the out of country stuff and it usually takes a bit as my mail guy enters each one into the computer by postal code and comes up with a total. When I did that the other day for the out of country cards I saw a new lady and she saw that all this mail was just Christmas cards and she said, let's just do it this way and she told me about the global forever stamps. Talk about fast and easy! Wish I had known about them before.

Next year, I'll just buy them a few at a time as I do with regular stamps -- and maybe I'll finally get my cards out earlier!

That's great that you learned about the new method Jeff. This year I learned that smaller cards are a lot cheaper to send. I discovered this after using mostly large crafted ones so I guess they were heavy. The cost will make such a difference next year!!!! Shame I didn't this realise before.
