Happy Final Friday of July! Oh wow we're heading towards the last weekend of July already! It seems like we just were at the 4th of July and this month has gone fast. But every month seems to huh? The Countdown today to Thanksgiving is at 125 days meaning we've gone through 75% of the 100s! And the Countdown to November continues to fall through the double digits at 98 days. Wow. Just wow is all we can say here in Mid Summer. Lots of summer is left to go though. We have to enjoy it because once it ends we'll be on that road back to November and Thanksgiving that always starts in early September. Better enjoy these next several weeks of summer. It's a nice day here. A good day for laying outside and dreaming of future turkeys. How's that sound to you all? Have a great Final Friday of July!​

Happy Last Weekend of July! We have reached the end of the weekends for July folks. This is the last one. But the good news? We still have the entire month of August to go through before heading towards the Bers. I've finally used these last few days to get myself mentally excited for the Bers and it's finally clicking now that we're not that far away. Let's look at our 2 Countdowns this Saturday Morning. We have 124 days till Thanksgiving and tomorrow will be our "8th" 28th and 2/3 marker to Thanksgiving Day! And we also are down to 97 days now to November 1. Wow that makes a Halloweenholic like me realize I definitely am glad that I'm getting into the Halloween Spirit here. It's time for that just about now. Any day now I expect to see the Halloween stuff start showing up in the stores and that means turkeys aren't far behind. Have a great Last Weekend of July!​

Happy Sunny Summer Sunday! A beautiful day here expected and today folks we have not 1 but 2 milestones! We have reached our 8th "28th"! Only 4 more to go till Thanksgiving. And with that we also have reached our 2/3 marker to Thanksgiving Day. Is that awesome enough? Well I have something else awesome to tell you. On Thursday we enter AUGUST and then on Friday we reach the 3/4 marker to NOVEMBER! Two big milestones coming this week. Anyone else feel excited now? I feel it. That's pretty amazing. I do love summer and want to enjoy it more but I have to tell you that I really am starting to now think more about the Bers. It's kind of that time of year for me where I start looking forward to it. Almost like the amount I look forward to having a turkey plate on Thanksgiving filled with all the sides next to it. Happy Final Days of July! We are rounding out the month and heading towards August this week. Big transition! The Final Month before the glorious 4 Month Bers we wait all year for will be here. Let that sink in and we'll talk about it all week and the excitement level will build. Ever feel the excitement level in November? That's the best and it's why we added it to our Countdown last week. First, Thanksgiving Countdown is now at 122 days. Countdown to November is 95 days. Both moving steadily in the right direction. And that would be forward just like a turkey moving forward across the road keeping his eye on all oncoming traffic. The heat and humidity have built back up again. But that's ok because all eyes are now focusing on the Bers. I hope yours are too. Have a great Final Days of July Monday!​

Happy Next to Last Day of July! The heat and humidity continue to be strong here in late July. And our Countdown to Thanksgiving and November continues to be just as strong. We have 121 days till Thanksgiving 2019 now. But we also are down to only 94 days till November! See folks how great our counts are both going right now? They are going awesome! In fact, tomorrow we will bid farewell to this long hot month of July. That's a big turning point and definitely a milestone for all of us. We'll move into the month of August after that which will be our setup month for the Bers to arrive. Unreal huh? It is but it's true. Believe in it just like you believe in turkey on your plates and the parade on t.v. on Thanksgiving Day. That's what I believe in for sure. Have a great Next to Last Day of July!​

Happy Final Day of July! Look at us about to end another month folks. The 8th month since November is ENDING today. That means tomorrow we start the 9th month since November! Umm yeah that sums it up doesn't it? Our Countdown to Thanksgiving is at a nice round 120 days this morning. Our Countdown to November is now down to 93 days. Umm that sounds awesome doesn't it? It does to me for sure. We're moving along nicely here on this Wednesday also known as Pines Day. And we see both figures continue to move forward. Tomorrow is when my heart/soul go into Halloween mode. I used to get ready (or try to) in September but it's too late. I'm trying to start in August this year to help get excited early and that will also go for November/Thanksgiving. The way I look at it we only have 3 full months to go till November and I want to enjoy the excitement. Have a great Final Day of July you turkey lovers!​

Happy August Arrives! We have 3 Countdowns this morning folks so lets get to it. It's Thursday. Our Weekly Countdown to Thanksgiving is now at 17 Weeks! Wow that's less than 1/3 of the weeks we started with when we had 53! Our Countdown to Thanksgiving Day is now at 119 days. Another wow. I remember when I posted 370 days and that just amazes me that we are now heading closer to the 100 Day marker which will be insane. Our Countdown to November is well below 100 at 92 days. Enough counts for you this Mid-Late Summer morning? It's a warm one here but not terrible. After all, we should enjoy it while we can. Before you know it (as in 1 month from today) the Bers will arrive and then we will be heading towards cooler Autumn days and nights. And then the dreams of Thanksgiving rev up to a whole new level. Hmmm that sounds enticing to me. No wonder I love the Bers so much. Have a great August Arrives Friday Eve!​

Happy August TGIF! We're now heading towards the 1st weekend of August! This is the month before the Bers begin folks! Our Countdown to Thanksgiving is now at 118 days. And our Countdown to November is only at 91 days! Wow. That's 13 weeks from today! That's pretty amazing if you ask me. I watched Great Pumpkin last night to welcome in August. A little Halloween in early August. I need to do that to prepare before the Bers get here. And there was the first football game on last night (Hall of Fame Game). That's a sign of what's to come. All signs point towards the Bers, Autumn, Halloween, Thanksgiving (of course), and the Christmas Season. What a wonderful time of year we are in right now with everything straight right in front of us. Now all you turkey fans lets get to our weekend and enjoy it shall we? Have a great August TGIF!​

Happy 1st Weekend of August! Notice anything this awesome Saturday Morning? Let's figure it out by looking at both counts. Countdown to Thanksgiving is at 117 days. Fine. Countdown to November? 90 days! Folks we knocked off 10 days already since I added the November count. Unreal huh? And only 90 to go. That's like 1 down and 9 to go out of 10. Hmm that moved too fast almost. Almost as fast as I run to my Thanksgiving Plate on Thanksgiving Day. Absolutely spectacular every single year. It's always the best. It always delivers. It's always one of the moments I look forward to the most of the entire year. What more can I say? Nothing really. I just hope everyone here realizes we are really getting close to the Bers now. My mom saw Halloween stuff out yesterday in the store! First time. And you know what follows Halloween Season is Thanksgiving Season. Have a great start to the 1st Weekend of August!​

Happy August Sunday! We had a pretty nice day Saturday before some showers overnight and a nice Sunday is expected as well. We work for the Weekend don't we? We also work to get to vacations too. And one of those breaks most of us get is Thanksgiving Break. Let's look at our Countdowns this morning. The amount of days until Thanksgiving 2019 is now at 116. And the number of days until November is 89 days. Both look good to me. And now we move forward in our count towards other goals. The 28th is still 24 days away so we have some time to get to our 9th "28th" but that's ok. We have only 16 days to go until we reach the magical #100 until Thanksgiving. And after that we head towards a double digits count for BOTH of our counts. What happened to when we were in the 300s? 200s? Now 100s are almost fading away. Just crazy. Keep the faith turkey lovers. We are heading the right way. Have a great August Sunday!​

Happy August Week! Oh we are so close to the Bers now you can almost smell and taste it can't you? I know that I can. Our Countdown to Thanksgiving sits at 115 days this Monday Morning. Our Countdown to November is now double 8s at 88 days. Both looking good. That's what happens in the month of August though. We are really moving significantly closer to November because the Bers are just around the corner and of course once we reach September 1 we'll be only 2 months away from November! That will be incredible. August is like that big turning point. Football Season is coming. Pre-season start. So much to look forward to. Even our average high temps this time of year are now on the decline slowly from here on out. Amazing. All signs of the times to come. Alright turkey fans enjoy your Monday. Happy Less Sweaty Day! Oh yeah we have a little break in the humidity but it bounces back quickly this time of year still. But we all know cooler Autumn days are not too far ahead now from us. And we look forward to them when they arrive almost as much as we look forward to Santa's arrival Christmas Eve Night. Our Countdown to Thanksgiving is 114 days this Tuesday Morning. And our Countdown to November is at 87 days. Rolling along forward. Both counts moving along. The Thanksgiving count now 2 weeks away from a huge 100 day milestone before we hit double digits. Uhhh then what? Then we're like almost heading towards the home stretch soon. Pretty scary. Not ready. But will be soon. That's how I look at this time of year. Happy Week Into August! We are rolling along into the middle of the week now here a week into August. Our Countdown to Thanksgiving is at 113 days now. And our Countdown to November stands at 86 days. Both counts look good but can still look better. I'm looking forward to that 100 day marker in 13 days till Thanksgiving. 2 weeks from today that means we'll have a Double Double's Count! No more triple digits. That's ridiculous. But it's going to happen in the not too distant future. Prepare one and all. Everything is going to get more exciting as we head into the 2nd half of August. We have a little time left though before things start getting crazy. Let's enjoy the calmness of summer. Of course we enjoy it with a turkey thought. Happy Double 8s! We are indeed on the 8th day of the 8th month today. Our Countdown to Thanksgiving is at 112 days. Our Countdown to November is a little below Double 8s at 85 days. And our Weekly Count to Thanksgiving on this Thursday is...16 Weeks! Wow next week we'll be halfway from 20 to 10 in weeks. And to think we started at 53 weeks last year on Thanksgiving. That's a long way to go to 16! And 16 to 0 is A LOT less and A LOT closer than that. Scary stuff. My friend said he saw some turkeys in his neighbors garden yesterday. That just made me think of November. What a great and glorious month that is. Not to rush there because we have the first half of the Bers to enjoy before that. And I definitely plan on doing so. Happy Terrific TGIF! Look at our Countdown this Fine Friday! 111 days till Thanksgiving. Triple 1s! And our Countdown to November is down to 84 days which translates to only 12 or a dozen weeks. Unbelievable. These counts have been impressing us all month of August long so far. Let's keep it going through these next 3+ weeks before we hit the Bers! And then things will get serious in this thread but we'll still have tons of fun of course while we count it down. Oh yeah. And today is Friday so that's an extra reason to be happy. Oh be happy. Be happy. Dream of Thanksgiving Day. That's one of the happiest if not the happiest days of the year. That is the best. It's the ultimate. It's awesome. There's nothing better than it. Is there? Happy Double Digits August! It is absolutely a beautiful morning out there. It feels like September! And it's a great preview. Oh and let's take a look this morning at our Countdowns. First of all, our Countdown to Thanksgiving is now at 110 days! Only 10 days to go until the BIG MAGICAL #100. And our countdown to November is now at 83 days. Rolling along with both counts here on this Saturday morning in August. What's better than a Saturday morning? How about Thanksgiving morning? That is probably the best morning of the year! It's right up there for sure. Everything about Thanksgiving is the best and that's why we have our countdown here all year long. And we will continue it right through November 28th! I'm game! I have been wanting to try making a turkey in a Roaster Oven to test the results before doing it for a large group, so why not make a couple of side dishes and enjoy?!?
