COUNTDOWN TO THE BERS 2020: 198 DAYS

Happy President's Day Weekend! It is a holiday weekend. Some of us have off tomorrow. That's a big plus on a Sunday when you have Monday off. That's why I LOVE weekends like Memorial Day and Labor Day. But we're not here to talk about those 2 holidays. We're here to talk about THANKSGIVING. We're looking at our counts this Sunday a.m. and we see that we have 284 days until Thanksgiving. We also have 259 days until November. And we have 198 days until the Bers. The Bers will be in the 1s now until right around Memorial Day ironically. We'll be almost heading into summer time by then. But we have only 9 days now left until we reach halfway from 300 to 200 for November. Awesome. Turkeyfied? And by the way the day after (in 10 days) we'll reach our 3rd "26th" and be 1/4 of the way to Thanksgiving. Wow already 25% of the way there? How the heck is that possible? Happy President's Day! It's a holiday for some. And that's a cool thing. But one day that's a holiday for all is Thanksgiving. That's the big one here in this thread. Let's look at our 3 counts to start the week off. We have 283 days until Thanksgiving and 258 days until November. Finally, we have 197 days until the Bers. All 3 counts look good to start off the new week here in the 2nd half of February on this President's Day. I don't know about you but if I were President I would make it mandatory to have a Thanksgiving turkey dinner every 3 months for everyone and it would be a holiday too. Any votes for me? Looking at our counts we have 8 days to go (1 week from tomorrow) until we're at the big halfway marker from 300 to 200 in the November count. The day after that we reach our 3rd "26th" and are 25% of the way to Thanksgiving. Crazy stuff. Have a great President's Day!​

Happy Winter Break! Some kids here are off all week (hint CW is home all week with his kids ). And it makes it fun for all of them. But here in the Thanksgiving 2020 Thread we have fun EVERY SINGLE DAY. Why? Because we count down to 3 of the biggest days of the year. First of all we count down (obviously) to the biggest which is Thanksgiving and that count is at 282 days. Secondly, we count down to November and that count is at 257 days. And finally we count down to the Bers and that count is at 196 days. That's how we have fun every single day. Not quite as much fun as we have when we sit down to a turkey dinner or turn the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade on but we still have fun nonetheless. And 1 week from today we have the halfway marker from 300 to 200 for November, followed by the day after when we reach the 1/4 marker to Thanksgiving as we reach our 3rd "26th" and 3 down 9 to go till Thanksgiving. Pretty big if you ask me. Have a great Winter Break!​

My kids were only off yesterday and they were supposed to be off today but the district took the day back because we had already had 3 snow days.
Oh well...at least we are in the 100's for the Bers!

I don't know why it has taken me so long to realize that all of my Rudolph celebrations need to be extended through the 26th. I will have to start brainstorming on how to commemorate each 26th, I think this month I will reflect on what went well last Thanksgiving and what could be done differently (better) next year, and maybe try a new recipe, or maybe an old favorite? What do you all do on the "26th" of each month?

Happy Snowless February! Indeed there are no signs of snow here locally. But there are signs of 3 big countdowns in this thread this morning. Let's take a look at them. We have 281 days until Thanksgiving. We have 256 days until November. And we have 195 days until the Bers. Ok now I am noticing bigger things about next week in particular. I already pointed out Tuesday will be the 250 day marker to November and Wednesday will be the 3rd "26th" celebrating 1/4 to Thanksgiving. I'm thinking next week is going to be big. But you know what else will be big? Tomorrow because it's THURSDAY and our friend CW will be posting his bi-weekly video of Thanksgiving. That will be another big day. And we'll have a special "weekly countdown" tomorrow which we always do but will hit a huge number tomorrow. Sounds exciting huh? This thread has had a ton of excitement so far and it's still only winter. We still have the best yet to come. That's awesome. Have a great Snowless February!​
