DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 16
Happy Noticeable November! Today we look at our last countdown we have left and see 16 days remain until Thanksgiving. That would be 2 weeks + 2 days. Our next milestone? That’s less than a week away and that will be our final milestone before Thanksgiving hits. It will be the Home Stretch to Thanksgiving and that will be next week on Monday. But folks normally I plan ahead too much and this year I’m restraining myself from doing so. I’ve decided not to work on the 2022 Thanksgiving Thread until Thanksgiving Eve. I have half a day then and will update my records to prepare for that new count. Just a small thing I’m doing to keep this thread going and not rush anything. Last year I had planned this new thread about 2 months ahead. This year I’m not doing that. I’m fully focused on Thanksgiving. That’s what I’m looking forward to. I know all of you are. Sometimes we get caught up in the excitement of the long build and being far away but you know what? It’s really awesome to be this close too. I hope you’re all doing well this Tuesday in November. I hope you all are getting yourself excited for the day and what’s to come. One step at a time. Slow steps too. Have a great Noticeable November!
Nice meal planned!I know how you feel, with our Halloween thread. I didn't want to spend too much time making the new one while we were still technically in "the old".
Every day I get reminded of the counts in here and it still seems crazy to me, that we are basically two weeks out from turkey day. But, no sense fretting over that. Let's enjoy every day. In fact, I'm having turkey & sausage gumbo on Friday night!
You'll get it right! It's time to start thinking about my cheese blend for the baked mac and cheese this year. Thinking I'll keep it simple this year and roll with white cheddar and maybe some gouda. Last year I experimented with some brie, and that did not end well - the rind was a big problem. Thankfully I was able to rectify that before the big day. I likely won't have time for a practice run this year so I gotta get it right the first time.
Few years ago it was record cold here...highs didn't even get out of the 20s. It was brutal and windy!Would be nice to have Thanksgiving on the chilly side. The past couple of years it has seemed like it's been too warm to "feel festive" !
Happy Weds. everybody! The time is getting close for the big day. Seems like it was just last spring we were languishing in the amount of days ahead of us. Found a interesting video today.
