DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 350
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 326
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 265

Happy Double Digits December! It's Thursday folks so you know CW will arrive with some great Thanksgiving video for us. But first things first we have 3 counts to get to: 350 days till Thanksgiving, 326 days till November and 266 days till The Bers. Ahh yes that Thanksgiving count is a big round 350 days. And our next milestone will be in 11 days as we reach the arrival of winter (the 1st of 3 seasons on the way back to Autumn). It will also be only 4 days till Christmas then. Yikes. Does anyone have turkey for Christmas? Just wondering. I know there are some people that have ham. I have lasagna. Some people probably make a roast. Anyway, I still know we all here love Thanksgiving Day and Meal the best. Let's enjoy the next 350 day build towards it. Slowly folks! No rushing. Have a great Double Digits December!

YES! Turkey and Ham are a staple for our family Thanksgivings & Christmas.

Although now with the inclusion of TOM TURKEY DAY, I think we will make it a point to always have either Turkey or Ham on that Day. Same thing with Rudolph Day, Turkey or Ham it will be. Just makes it "feel" like the real thing!

Halfway / Leon Day if we have a family get together, we might do both, just like we do for the real thing! And I'm also thinking about this year, for the first time ever, doing a HALFWAY TO THANKSGIVING dinner! We celebrate Leon Day, and Halfoween, so why not?

We have ham and cheesy mashed potatoes for Christmas. Plus a few other side dishes.

We have a ham and then almost the exact same spread as Thanksgiving dinner. The only difference is ham instead of turkey.

I have been wanting to shake it up for years and do something different, but if there's one thing I've learned it's that you don't mess with the family's traditional meals!

We usually have a turkey at my MIL's house but because of covid we won't be seeing them this year. I think we will see my SIL, BIL and my niece. We were thinking a lasagna and my husband was going to make baked stuffed shrimp. Not sure on sides....

First Thursday posting of the year will be taking place in a minute. Hard to believe where the time goes so fast. Lets kick back and enjoy our video selection for this week.

Hello, I have not posted on any of the forums for awhile. I have recently started to read them again though and I always thought this was such a great site overall. I love many different times of the year, which makes the year go almost too fast sometimes. It seems something great is always on the horizon. I have come to enjoy the serenity of January, a month I really used to struggle with. I love St Patrick's Day and in fact put up green lighting in my home from February 15th until the NCAA Final Four ends in early April. I have come to love July 4th even more the last couple of years. I'm a huge fan of Labor Day which means Fall has arrived even if not quite officially yet. Labor Day means Fall foliage, cool breezes and temps and football returns. It also opens the door to my absolute favorite holidays putting us on the doorstep to Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Thanksgiving is such a perfect holiday from the great food, generally the company(this year with covid around not so much) and football. The feeling I get all week and in particular the Wednesday before Thanksgiving can perhaps only be matched by Christmas Eve and Christmas. I would in fact say that Wednesday, Thanksgiving Eve, is the most underrated day all year for me. I think all of us hope for a more normal Thanksgiving in 2021. While it seems far away at first, one thing I find is it never really is. I've come to enjoy the journey to all these great dates I mentioned in some ways more than the holidays themselves. At the beginning of a year long countdown, when things seem so far away I always remind myself there are only twenty-six 2 week sessions before that special day will be back. for Thanksgiving 2021, I was just thinking that we already completed the first of those sessions just now. The 2 weeks flew by and another will take us to Christmas and that one will be just as fast. So as of now, 1 two week segment completed and only 25 to go. For me at least, that breakdown always makes any year sound not so long. It also reminds me I've gotta enjoy the entire journey back because it does go so fast. Hope everyone here had a great Thursday!

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 349
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 325
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 264

Happy Christmas Season TGIF! Yeah it's Friday but it's not just any Friday. It's a Christmas Season Friday. Thanks to CW for his contribution yesterday. Now on to our counts: 349 days till Thanksgiving, 325 days till November and 264 days till The Bers. Taking it one step at a time here in the month of December as we march towards our next milestone 10 days from now. It will be the official arrival of winter, however, they are saying we may see some snow next week before winter begins. We'll see. Other than that I know all of you are definitely planning and preparing for Christmas but I know you all keep Thanksgiving in your minds and hearts all year. There's something so special about the smell of the turkey in the oven on Thanksgiving morning with the parade on in the background and family gathering together. Nothing beats it really. Have a great Christmas Season TGIF!

TGIHF!!! What is the "H" in there for? Why, it stands for HAM!!! Today we can finally redeem our free Martins ham! Every time we cash in the coupons for free food items, I always get reminded of Thanksgiving / Christmas!
