DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 146
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 122
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 61

Happy Fireworks Friday! We have a big and long holiday weekend ahead of us here in the summer. This is my favorite holiday of the Non-Bers year. But first let's get to our countdowns. We have 146 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 122 days to go until November, and 61 days left until The Bers. Our next milestone will happen believe it or not in 11 days. And it will be the all important Final Fifty Till The Bers! That's right we coined it last year here "Final Fifty" and The Bers will have that as our next milestone. I am glad we still have time until that milestone as that one seems to be a little scary. But exciting at the same time of course. Thanks for all the votes on the poll from yesterday. I saw a lot of February listed as the choice for the poll. Just kind of February needs something other than the Superbowl doesn't it? No offense to V-Day & President's Day but they seem like not enough. Anyway, we're in July so let's focus on the present and the here and now. And we all should enjoy this time of the year while we can. It's very important to do that. Have a great Fireworks Friday!
February can be just "blah". It's true. I feel like once the Superbowl is over, that is the last part of the Holidays / Christmas that is still around. Many of us have only recently taken down our Christmas Trees and other assorted decorations. So the house can feel empty. Plus the weather might be brutal and we can't get outdoors as much as we want comfortably. Maybe in time, February will get another Holiday, who knows. But it won't feel like the "Big 3", so maybe with that knowledge, we leave everything as it is!

Yep, you're right. The Monday after the Superbowl is brutal. I used to get the post-holiday blues so bad that I'd always schedule that Monday off work because, at the time, I thought there was nothing else to look forward to for a long time. Turns out there was quite a bit to look forward to; I just hadn't discovered countdowns, milestones, and mini-celebrations yet!

February is the "blah" month of the year!

This site helps a lot with the PCB'S!

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 145
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 121
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 60

Happy Independence Weekend! We look above at the countdowns this morning to start off this long holiday weekend and we see the following statistics: 145 days till Thanksgiving, 121 days till November, and 60 days till The Bers. Our next milestone? It's going to be the "Final Fifty" to The Bers. We coined that term here last year in this thread. I mean I'm not copyrighting it and maybe others have used it before me but it certainly fits. And it definitely is worth of a milestone. Fortunately, we still have 10 days to go until that milestone happens. Right now we all should be focused on this long 3 day weekend. And really focused on today. Living in the present is the best thing (even though we may think of the future/get excited for it like we do here at the same time). Summer is a passion for me. But of course The Bers and all of the above countdowns are "home." And I love being there as well. That's why this 2nd half of the year is just amazing compared to the 1st half of the year. Have a great Independence Weekend!

Looking forward to the "Final Fifty" and hoping to seize each one of them, but still glad to have the long Fourth of July weekend and a break in the humidity is making it even nicer!

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 144
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 120
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 59

Happy 4th Of July! Today is a big holiday in the USA folks. It's actually the biggest Non-Bers holiday of the year (in my opinion). And we set off the fireworks here in this countdown with the following 3 to display: 144 days till Thanksgiving, 120 days till November, and 59 days till The Bers. Our next milestone? It will be the "Final Fifty" to The Bers. Luckily we still have another 9 days to go till that point. I'm just focusing on the holiday today though and it really represents a lot. It's the serious part of summer now these next 8 weeks. And then we make that turn the week before Labor Day by hitting September 1...and then all the magic starts happening. Yeah. I am not getting ahead of myself at all. I want the summer to go as slow as possible as you know. It's fun having everything in front of us still. And that's the way I like it for as long as possible. The longer/better the journey just makes the destination more fun/satisfying/awesome. Have a great 4th Of July!

Can't wait for the Final Fifty. I remember last year those final 50 days went fast. Very fast. So excited!!!

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 143
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 119
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 58

Happy Hardcore Summer! It really is the hardcore part of the summer now folks since the 4th of July has ended. But we look above and see luckily we still have a good amount of time left to our 3 countdowns. They are as follows: 143 days till Thanksgiving, 119 days till November, and 58 days till The Bers. Our next milestone happens in 1 week + 1 day from now when we reach the "Final Fifty" to The Bers. It's Monday though right now so let's do our weekly countdown that we do to the "Best Week of the Year" (Thanksgiving Week, of course). And that stands now at 20 weeks. An even 20. Wow. We have come so far and I think now we're at the point where it's like we need to just take this summer in as much as possible. Not to say I don't want to get to The Bers and everything involved in it with our 3 counts above but we also do not want to rush to that point. Well a day off today for many so if you do have the day off enjoy it with some fun, sun and turkey thoughts. Have a great Hardcore Summer!

I can't believe that tomorrow we will be only one week away from the 50 day preview. That is crazy!

8 days until the Final Fifty and 20 weeks until Thanksgiving week.
It's about to get real. Very soon.

I'm trying, Edge. I really am. I know that summer weather is here to stay, especially for us southern folks, at least through the end of September. But it's really hard not to be excited. I already saw news of two new maple coffees yesterday that will be on shelves in the Fall.

I've also got a summer vacation coming up. I'll be taking a whole week off work at the end of July, and we'll take the kids to Galveston and do many summery things, I'm sure.

But when I think of my "happy place," well...it sure isn't in summer, I'll tell you that. :D

Nice. I'm taking off next week (1 week in June, 1 in July this year and think that will be my new tradition). It's been great.
