I'm going to see if I can ask for a pumpkin pie now. Honestly, pumpkin pie and the plain white cheesecake from Costco always put me in a Holiday mood. If I get either one of those, I'd be fine. Both would be even better.
Now I want the mini Creme Puffs that come from Costco and Sam's Club!

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 246
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 222
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 161

Happy March Mid-Week! Folks we look at the countdowns here in the middle of the week on the brink of yet another milestone. Can you believe that? Well let's take a look first together shall we? We have 246 days remaining until Thanksgiving. We have 222 days to go (triple 2's) until November. And last but certainly not least we have 161 days left until The Bers. Our next milestone is tomorrow as I mentioned above. That milestone will be Tom Turkey Day #4. That's right the 4th one of a new tradition we started thanks to our friend Rich. And it's definitely been a growing fun thing we've started here that people are catching on to. We will have a special poll as we do every other Thursday here to celebrate that milestone. I'll hopefully come up with a good one for all of you. Have a great March Mid-Week!

I suspect that the grocery shopping / buying this weekend will very much feel like it does close to Thanksgiving / Christmas! We are going to go out one night this week to try and get certain things to avoid the Holiday Rush / Crowd that is sure to be present this weekend.

Tom Turkey Day and Rudolph Day on the same day! That's actually pretty easy to reconcile. Time for a viewing of "Miracle on 34th Street!"
The movie starts on Thanksgiving Day and ends on Christmas Day. Perfect choice!!!

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 245
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 221
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 160

Happy Latter March! We're moving along folks. We have one full week of March left now (7 days). And our 3 counts reflect the following stats: We have 245 days till Thanksgiving, 221 days till November, and 160 days till The Bers. And today is a MILESTONE DAY! Yes, indeed we have reached Tom Turkey Day #4! Happy Happy Happy Tom Turkey Day to all of you Thanksgiving fans. Our next milestone is actually 1 week from today as we welcome in the 5th month (believe it or not) since November and that would be the month of April. Pretty incredible. But first in honor of Tom Turkey Day let's do a special poll.
How often do you travel for Thanksgiving?
A.) Every Year!
B.) Never in my lifetime.
C.) Sometimes we do and sometimes we don't.
D.) Only a few times (or less) have we ever traveled for Thanksgiving.

My answer is B. I've never technically traveled in my lifetime for Thanksgiving unless you count the 5 miles I had to go to get to my Gram's house. I don't think that counts though. We're talking travel as in a good hour or farther away at least. What about you? What's your Thanksgiving Traveling been like in your lifetime? Have a great Latter March!

D, borderline B for me. We used to have to attend three Thanksgiving dinners each year since my wife's parents are divorced, so we'd go to my parents' first and then her mom's side and her dad's side separately. Her mom lived here in town, but her dad lives an hour away.

After we had kids it just got to be too much for one day, and we were really not comfortable attending her dad's side anyway, so we decided to cut it back to two.

Now, my brother and his wife want to do Thanksgiving at their house this year, so if that ends up happening then we will be traveling again. They live almost two hours away.

I have to answer B. My divorced parents live 2 miles from each other, and my in laws live about 5 miles away in the next town over. Which, depending on how you look at it, makes it convenient, or inconvenient, as there's always that "expectation" over whose house are you expected to spend the day at since it is so "easy" for us to be close by!

Speaking of Thanksgiving, there's a little turkey breast thawing in our sink right now, waiting on Rudolph Day dinner later, which will be accompanied by mashed potatoes, and creamed corn, with fresh baked biscuits! Sparkling cider will be on tap too, but i suppose it is time to start using up my "supply" of Duplin's Christmas Wine. If I had to guess, I have close to 20 bottles right now! I love the stuff! Every year i hoard more bottles and "save", but I'm not sure why i need so many! It started off as just being able to keep enough bottles so that I could enjoy them once a month for Rudolph Day, and it grew since then!

It is D for me, only a few times have I ever had to venture out on actual Thanksgiving, and I am grateful.

Happy Thursday everybody! Its been a busy week with the huge addition finally being near completion on the house. Been hauling in Challengers and Chargers into the shop with a few Swingers and Coronets I got my grubby hands on. I seem to need a day to be 40 hours long now..lol Hope everyone is safe.
