Just listened to a 10 minute lecture on the difference between stuffing/dressing. My aunt decided to set the record straight with everybody today.
So how exactly does she define the difference? I always thought they were basically the same thing except on is cooked in the turkey and one isn't. I am dying to get set straight! :jump

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 3

Happy Thanksgiving Week! If you look above, you’ll see our countdown has dwindled to 3 days folks. And we had been counting down our weeks on Mondays to Thanksgiving Week but as my intro said it IS Thanksgiving Week! It’s here folks. Somehow it is. 0 weeks till Thanksgiving Week. The week we talked about for so long is here. Our next milestone is Thursday obviously and we all know what that is. It’s the ultimate goal and the singular day that this entire thread revolves around (Thanksgiving Day). It’s an amazing feeling. I can’t believe that we’re here. It’s a great time to be here in this thread. I hope you’re all prepared. We got our turkey on Saturday. We have all the sides now. I think we’re pretty much ready. The plans have been made. It’s amazing to be here on this very special week that we think about all year long. The only week that can even compare with this week is Christmas Week. The other 50 just aren’t as special as these 2 when it comes to a holiday feeling that you get from this one that you don’t get from the others. And we’re all here now together thinking turkey thoughts. But let’s drag our feet here on this Monday. Let’s not let that feeling get away from us. Take it all in today. This isn’t any ordinary Monday folks. I know you will feel it as well when you’re out and about. Have a great Thanksgiving Week!

Yum! It's Thanksgiving week at last, and there's good eatin' ahead.

Tomorrow my cousin Roy is coming down from Maryland. We're natives of the same little Southern town, but he wound up working his whole career for the Federal government in Maryland. When he's here we always take him out and find him some good barbecue. He says what they call barbecue up there is not even close.

Our South Carolina daughter and her family will arrive midweek, and sometime we will go satisfy Grandson's love for a local Asian buffet.

Oh, and Thursday we'll eat some turkey. This year Ms. G is listening to reason and buying the bird and fixings precooked from Kroger. Much easier, with all the uproar that will be going on in the house.

Whatever the cuisine of your choice, have a big helping! And be thankful.

Yep one is in a turkey, one is in a pan. People from the south usually have dressing, North is stuffing with leftover stuffing shoved in a bowl and baked till dry..lol.
