I am convinced that left over pie after Thanksgiving, any except cream pies for some reason, is a perfect breakfast dish.I usually get a slice of that also. If not on Thanksgiving Day, the day after. So good!

How ARE you feeling?Since I am home alone recovering, for lunch, I'm having a Marie Calendars Turkey and stuffing with mashed potatoes frozen meal and watching the 2016 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. It's a mini-Thanksgiving!![]()
I love Vermont cheddar with my apple pie.My father loved sweets but he didn't like having the sweet taste as the last thing he ate. He would eat the meal, then have pie, then have a little more meat. He always loved sharp cheddar cheese with his apple pie but the rest of us preferred vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
I am feeling almost "normal". No side effects from the procedure yesterday. I was told to just take it easy today and rest. So I am. Thanks for asking. How ARE you feeling?
I have a cold as well....ugh not fun and hope you are better soon!Happy weary Friday folks! My youngest boy polluted me with his cold yet again so I called it a week in the garage. Had a appt with the accountant and he always leaves me in a foul mood..lol. Still no fresh turkeys out yet but I did find turkey broth today. Has anybody noticed the price of soup?
Yes, awful, but then the price of everything is depressing.Happy weary Friday folks! My youngest boy polluted me with his cold yet again so I called it a week in the garage. Darn it, @SnowflakeMom, not you too, rest, plenty of fluids and Christmas movies just might do the trick.I have a cold as well....ugh not fun and hope you are better soon!
I can't find any turkeys in CT only frozen turkey breasts!
My mom makes the best...she makes it several times during the fall. Excellent!I usually get a slice of that also. If not on Thanksgiving Day, the day after. So good!
That's what I was gonna say!Yes, awful, but then the price of everything is depressing.
I havent got a nap in 100 yrs!DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 33
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 10
Happy Spooky October Weekend! Today folks we have 33 days remaining until Thanksgiving and 10 days to go until November! It’s Milestone Day folks as we have reached the “Home Stretch” Till November! Holy, Moly! And folks our next milestone will be our FINAL TOM TURKEY DAY on Thursday when we reach Tom Turkey Day #11. Wow. I don’t know what else to say. The good news? We have still over a full month until Thanksgiving. I am glad about that. But wasn’t it not long ago we were in the stress-free season this spring? And yet here we are moving along in our Awesome Autumn. Amazing. I hope you all had a good week and are ready for a great weekend now. I know that I am. And I hope you all are enjoying your time with your family, friends and even some alone time to relax and try to rest after another busy and crazy week. Now it’s time to relax and enjoy some. And I am going to try to get in a nap later this afternoon. Too much running around this week. My head is spinning. But for all of us turkey fans this is the time of year we need to make those moments and times to sit back, relax, and really realize where we are in the year. And how lucky we are to be there. I’m glad all of you are here on a daily basis. This thread has grown so much the last few years. We got the big stretch to go still folks ahead of us and that is the wonderful month of November. Have a great Spooky October Weekend!
Nope, no napping here. I have trouble sleeping so if I nap--no matter how tired I am--I sleep even worse.I havent got a nap in 100 yrs!
I love naps. If i can grab a Saturday afternoon nap I will take it. Never during the week though. It ruins my sleep schedule. Weekend and vacation naps are the best. My wife is the opposite. If she is napping it is only because she is sick or down with a migrane.I havent got a nap in 100 yrs!
I thought you were only 29 CWI havent got a nap in 100 yrs!
"Nap" to me doesn't even usually involve actually falling asleep...but kind of just laying down and resting which I rarely ever have time to do during the week.I love naps.
