DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 345
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 323
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 262

Happy December Teens! Today folks we have 345 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 323 days to go until November, and 262 days left until The Bers. Our next milestone(s) are going to be 1 week from tomorrow (Arrival Of Winter) and 1 week from the day after tomorrow (Tom Turkey Day #1). We continue along here in our Happy Holidays feeling oh so good this time of year. Happily moving slowly through our counts. That’s the way we need to do it this year. I learned my lesson the last year thinking this time of year it is way too far away and then zip…winter…spring…summer…back to autumn…closing in on Thanksgiving. Yikes. Don’t want that to happen at that speed again. And we all look forward to Christmas of course. Nobody doesn’t love Christmas who loves Thanksgiving. It’s really linked. We in this thread just feel Thanksgiving might be the #1 day overall of the entire year and feel it deserves more hype and appreciation which is what we fully intend to give it in this chat. It’s Tuesday folks so we’re here for picture day. And so if you have any pictures that you want to share today please feel free to. This is going to be fun I hope. I’m going to share a few later in round 2 as I normally do when I return hopefully later this evening. Tomorrow we will have our weekly poll. Be ready for that also. Always a fun time. Have a great December Teens!

I have been thinking of Thanksgiving A LOT lately. Just about how special it is and what a wonderful day it was this year. This week we will pick up the groceries needed for our Christmas dinner, and I know I'll get a huge dose of Thanksgiving feels when grabbing the cider!

I haven't decided if I want to do another mac and cheese yet. We're having it for New Year's Eve, so I don't want to do two of them in such close proximity. I'm thinking I might do tamales or a different side instead.

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 344
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 322
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 261

Happy December Mid-Week! Today folks we have 344 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 322 days left until November and 261 days to go until The Bers. The next milestones will be 1 week from today when we welcome in the Arrival Of Winter and the following day we will welcome in Tom Turkey Day #1. Those will be huge. Back to back milestones as we get into Christmas week. Pretty amazing. Now we continue along in our Happy Holidays time of year with a Weekly Wednesday poll below!

What is the time of year that you think about Thanksgiving the LEAST?

  • Right now in December because we’re focused 100% on Christmas and we have so far to go until Thanksgiving next year.
  • During winter (after Christmas) because it’s so far away.
  • During spring because we’re on the opposite side of the year from it.
  • During summer because it’s so hot it doesn’t feel like Thanksgiving at all.
On this one folks, I’m going to say A. Because Christmas has truly taken over. And because next Thanksgiving is so far away. That’s not easy though because I truly think about it all year long. What about you? Have a great December Mid-Week!

Hello everyone, I’m back! I’ve missed this thread dearly.

I’m going to say A for me. With Christmas so close, it’s hard to think of anything else. January is when I’ll be really missing all the other stuff that we just enjoyed.

Normally I'd say it's "A" for me, but this year Thanksgiving has been on my mind more than usual. Probably still a close call between "A" and "B" though. Although, you could say that I think about Thanksgiving every day, because I always think of it when visiting this thread!

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 343
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 321
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 260

Happy Mid-December! Today we move ahead into Thursday and see we have 343 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 321 days left until November, and 260 days to go until The Bers. Our next milestones will be back to back ones which will happen in 6 days when we reach the Arrival Of Winter followed by in 7 days when we reach Tom Turkey Day #1. Our Happy Holidays portion of this thread are looking great here in the heart of December and today’s Thanksgiving Thought kind of reflects on this time of year.

The one holiday that might compare best with Thanksgiving is the 4th of July. Why? 4th of July is the peak of the summer to many people. It’s the day the whole summer revolves around. Thanksgiving is the peak of autumn and the one day the whole autumn revolves around. Also the build is similar too. Not a lot of “activities” revolving around either one and both 2 of the best days of the year.

Some of you might agree with the comparison and others might not. It’s hard to compare Thanksgiving to anything else. To me it’s the opposite of Christmas, in a way since it’s on the opposite end of the season of it. And it’s linked from Halloween, in a way, but very different from it. No matter what we all love Thanksgiving and really nothing, when it comes right down to it can ever beat it in our minds, hearts, and souls. Have a great Mid-December!

July 4th to us is Summer's going away party! You know me, right around July 4th, I'm in the Daily Holiday Hangout, trying my best to cut the brakes of summer, and speed back towards The Bers!

But I do also agree about the "build up" to both being similar.

Have a great Thursday!

How about a lobster mac n cheese or shrimp n cheese?
