Thanksgiving 2023 Thread

It's the full Christmas Season and yet I still smile/think about Thanksgiving and the days, weeks and even months leading up to it!

DAYS TILL THE BERS: 265
Happy Double Digits December! Today folks we have 348 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 326 days to go until November and 265 days left until The Bers. Our next milestone(s) won’t be for a while still. It will be first of all the Arrival Of Winter which is happening in 11 days. And the very next day (in 12 days) we’ll reach our first Tom Turkey Day. Amazing stuff. We love those Tom Turkey Days don’t we? And it will be the first of 11 of them in this thread. I hope we can hold on to this holiday season as we continue through our Happy Holidays time of year here in this thread. Absolutely amazing. And I will say it till I’m blue in the face but THANKSGIVING BROUGHT US THIS TIME OF YEAR!!! That’s why Thanksgiving is absolutely precious, amazing, crazy, awesome and everything. That’s why we are all in this thread talking about Thanksgiving when nobody else is. But I’m really enjoying the Christmas Season too at the same time. Trying to enjoy everything I can this time of year and bottle it up as much as I possibly can. Having our counts be so high this time of year is a good thing because it means we are in the “most wonderful time of the year.” It truly is. Keep those turkey thoughts in your head while the rest of the world is Christmas shopping friends. They may not realize it like we do but WE (ok not WE but Thanksgiving) brought them all the joy they are experiencing right now. Have a great Double Digits December!

The "Big 3" Holidays, each have their own special feelings. One leads to the other, and you couldn't have one that would feel the same without having the others!
Thanksgiving is smack dab in the middle of those "Big 3". I'm like you, even in December, my thoughts land on Thanksgiving here and there.

I just put the second of my three Thanksgiving Leftover T.V. dinner in the fridge and I will have it tomorrow for lunch, and maybe save the last one for the 18th and keep the Thanksgiving feels going right up until the week of Christmas!

Happy Holiday Sunday! Today folks we have 347 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 325 days to go until November, and 264 days left until The Bers. Our next milestones will be the Arrival Of Winter which will be in 10 days and it will be followed by Tom Turkey Day #1 which will be in 12 days. We continue along our path here on our Happy Holidays portion of this thread. I know you’re all clinging on as tightly as you can this time of year. It’s wonderful. Absolutely wonderful. Just being in December feels awesome. The lights, the music, the shows, the magic in the air. It’s all great. I won’t repeat it (ok maybe I will) but you all know that this thread (well the holiday this thread is all about) is the reason we are here where we are. And thank you Thanksgiving for bringing us here. Even though in this thread we may be looking ahead with our counts we are enjoying the present that this past Thanksgiving just brought us to. Now it doesn’t matter what your plans are for today. It’s the weekend and it’s December. Not much beats that does it? Our week ahead in this thread looks familiar. No milestones coming which is ok with me. I’m hoping this week ahead will drag along slowly. I’m glad we’re all enjoying the early stages of this thread and enjoying the glow of being in the Christmas Season at the same time. Just amazing and awesome. Have a great Holiday Sunday!

I still think back to Thanksgiving Day often. I don't want to rush things, but I'm excited for 2023 when I can start looking ahead to next Thanksgiving. That feeling of anticipation, the magic... It's all like a big serotonin shot.

Happy Dozen Days Of December! Today folks we have 346 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 324 days to go until November and 263 days left until The Bers. Our next milestones will be, as you know by now, not taking place this week at all. But they will both happen next week on Wednesday (Arrival Of Winter) and Thursday (Tom Turkey Day #1). That will be back to back milestones for sure and we all look forward to them. But right now we’re focusing on this week and Monday only. And with it being Monday we take a look at our Weekly Countdown Till Thanksgiving Week which now stands at 49 weeks. Into the 40s folks. The one nice thing about the 50s is they don’t last long. But now we begin the long stretch of the 40s through the end of autumn and into and through a good chunk of winter. Let’s enjoy it as we move along in our Happy Holidays portion of this thread. And definitely we are all happy as can be that we’re in December and heading closer towards that day people love and that is Christmas. Now for you turkey fans I know we all keep it in our hearts here. And nobody outside of this thread is thinking about Thanksgiving anymore. But that’s why I love having you all here. Now is the time at Martins that everyone is getting their free spiral hams after accumulating enough bonus points. We ALWAYS get the ham about this time of year and we always save it for usually the February Rudolph Day, since most of the time we do a little turkey breast in January.
Picking up that ham just always makes me think of Thanksgiving, especially now that the store has all of the special displays "still" up for at least the next week.
I've said this a million times, but this thread, and the Daily Holiday Hangout, has helped me keep up the spirit of everything all year. Oops almost forgot to mention The Bers thread. They are all amazing!
My wife is trying to find out today if we are going to have a big family dinner on either New Year's Eve or New Year's Day. One last time to get Christmas/Thanksgiving vibes before we have that long stretch on the way to Easter!
