Thanksgiving 2023 Thread

July has not seemed long to me. Blame it on the longest vacation I have ever taken. It is hot, the weeds seem to grow faster than the veggies and I want to stay inside in the air conditioning rather than be out taking care of the weeds. But without this time of year, we wouldn't ever get to Thanksgiving so viva the heat AND the weeds.

I love this time of year...despite my complaints of the humidity. I've learned to love (or try to love) every time of year...even January. But the one thing I've felt this year is the most underappreciated time of the year is spring. Everyone talks about autumn. We have some summer lovers for sure. And holidays/winter we even have people who talk about it.

Happy Next To Last Day Of July! Today folks we have 116 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 94 days to go until November, and 33 days left until The Bers. Our next milestone is going to be on Tuesday when August Arrives my friends. For now we stick in July for 2 more days. I have said this before but July has felt really, really long. I think it’s the humidity. But yet I have to say I really love this month of July with a lot of fun things I enjoy and as I’ve said before 4th of July might be the best Non-Bers day of the year, to me. We move along in the Summer Sweatfest here trying to enjoy it while staying cool and finishing off our 3-day quiet weekend period in this thread which has become as popular I believe as the 4-days of themed days we have each week. Now turkey fans I hope you are staying cool. The weather here is now finally breaking and it should be a nicer week. We’ll see. We’ll take it day by day and hope that August coming up won’t be as bad as July has been. Weather has been crazy humid all month long pretty much. It’s kind of like having a really cold January and having very breaks if any. Now turkey fans you enjoy your Sunday with your family and friends. And no matter what your plans are I hope you enjoy them. Have a great Next To Last Day Of July!​
 
I believe too that the worst part of the heat for the remaining Summer is over. We have a few days this week that hit upper 70's but mostly low 80's. A few overnight lows in the 50's. Fall is on its way now. August should begin that slow and gradual process. Have a great Sunday!
 
No hints of fall in the weather yet. But later this week we will dip into the high 80s which believe it or not will be a relief from what we have had--high 90s with mostly 100s. But in my heart, I can FEEL that fall is lurking just around the corner.

We'll see. I wouldn't be surprised if we see another hot/humid stretch in August though just hopefully not as long lasting/relentless as July was.

Happy Final Day Of July! Today folks we have 115 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 93 days to go until November, and 32 days left until The Bers. Our next milestone will be tomorrow folks. It will be the Arrival of August. And it’s hard to believe we are less than 24 hours away from it. We move along in our Summer Sweatfest with a brand new week today and our Weekly Countdown Till Thanksgiving Week which now stands at 16 weeks. Sweet 16. Pretty amazing and pretty sweet here on the final day of July. Well we will see what August brings but hopefully the weather is more reasonable than it was in July. Still I have to tell you all that this was my favorite month of the year so far. Reasons? Taking my annual vacation in July (has become a tradition the last few years), 4th of July (the best Non Bers day of the year), summer (I still love summer), 50 Day Preview of The Bers, and seeing NFL training camps open. Just tremendous. Now turkey fans you enjoy today and don’t worry about tomorrow. Right now we have one focus and that would be our Monday and turkey thoughts like we have running in our head all the time. Keep it real my turkey friends on this Monday and every day from now on. Have a great Final Day Of July!​
 
Seeing 90 days to November will kind of be a reality check later this week, even though I have been constantly tracking our progress back to "The Big 3". It's going to feel good! Have a great Monday!
 
I was having some Thanksgiving thoughts yesterday. In particular, the week of Thanksgiving. I’m really looking forward to having that time off of work and celebrating.
 
16 weeks! It seems like we are flying through the teens which feels great, add to that getting ready to turn the calendar over to August and it feels like November is really looming large. Earlier today a co-worker stated that the Columbus Day weekend would be here before we know it, so it isn't just us here on MMC that are feeling it!

Happy August Arrives! Today folks we move along and look at our counts with 114 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 92 days to go until November, and 31 days left until The Bers. It’s Milestone Day folks as we have reached the Arrival of August. Amazing. Love it. And now we begin the final Non-Bers month of the year. Our next milestone will be in 2 weeks. Care to guess what it is? Well it’s in 14 days. That’s a hint. 2 weeks. It is the 100 Day Marker till Thanksgiving. We’ll see how things go from now till then. We move along in our Summer Sweatfest folks which we will be in the entire month of August. Yes. But at least it’s not as sweaty as it was. Dare I say it’s even a bit cool for summer? Today is Tuesday and it’s Picture Day folks. Everyone here likes picture day don’t they? Turkey fans I hope you all are having a good early part of your week so far. And thanks for being here on this 2nd day of the week and 1st day of the month. As I said this is a big month for a lot of reasons. And it involves seriously starting to see signs of The Bers out there. I did love July but now we move on to August. Turkey fans I hope you all are enjoying your day and starting to think turkey thoughts here in August. Maybe chanting turkey thoughts as well would be nice. Wouldn’t it? Welcome to August! Fall Pre-Season begins for me today! And on Thursday, of all days, we have the first NFL Preseason football game on TV. Preseason or not, It's live football, and I'm going to be watching it on a THURSDAY, so lots of Turkey thoughts. Have a great day!
